Controversial American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is making headlines this week – and this time it has nothing to do with speculation surrounding his sexuality. The musical theater aficionado has become the talk of this year’s post-Idol publicity tour for how difficult he is to work with.

“He is such a diva. Rude to everyone – from fans right down to the lighting folks,” an insider told MSNBC’s The Scoop on Wednesday

“A-list celebrities have come through here and been infinitely more polite,” said another person who worked with Lambert during a stop in New York.

Adam will have to drop the divalicious ‘tude pronto, if he hopes to make a powerful impact on the charts in the future, says one music producer who asked not to be identified. “No one sells that many records these days to be able to get away with that kind of behavior. To be a success you need literally everyone in your corner.”
