They always seem to be surrounded by drama, and early this morning (May 20) Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were spotted returning to Ronson’s pad in the wee hours.

The “Mean Girls” actress and the deejay chick ended up making their way back to Sam’s Los Angeles home around 2:30am, though it didn’t seem like a friendly visit.

According to paparazzi on the scene, LiLo had circled Sam’s block before finding out where she was and showing up at the club before following Miss Ronson home.

Earlier in the day, Lindsay was spotted trying to revive her career with a business meeting over at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.

Friends of the Lohan clan are concerned with the amount of time out-of-work actress Lindsay Lohan is spending with her 15-year-old sister, Ali.

In recent weeks, the young brunette has been spotted accompanying her 22-year-old big sis on a vacation to Hawaii and out on the town with her to parties, while she is supposed to be being home-schooled by family matriarch, Dina Lohan.

“There seems to be a lack of parental guidance,” a Lohan insider told The NY Post’s Page Six column on Friday. “[Mom] Dina took Ali out of school and now all she does is hang out with Lindsay (right) – who is back to drinking and partying hard. Ali is now wearing really skimpy outfits, and it’s just sad. No one is in control. Where are children’s services? Where is Dina?”

The Mounties don’t want Lindsay Lohan or her sketchy history of drinking and driving anywhere near the Canadian border.

Over the weekend, Lindsay Lohan was interrogated by immigration officials in Canada, who considered banning her from the country because of her drunk driving convictions in the States.

On Saturday, the trouble-prone actress, 22, arrived at Montreal Airport for a scheduled nightclub appearance, but upon landing found herself huddled into a backroom by border control after her twin 2007 arrests for DUI popped up on a computer database.

Lindsay was finally allowed to enter the country after a hour-long interrogation.

A loose-lipped tipster tells Us Weekly Magazine, “Because of her DUIs they didn’t want to let her into the country at first. The customs people gave her a real hard time.”

They’re a family of creative minds, and last night Samantha Ronson came out to support her sister Charlotte’s new fashion line I “Heart” Ronson.

Joined by their brother, producer Mark, the Ronson ladies looked to be enjoying themselves at the JCPenny-sponsored event, held at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles.

As usual, Samantha was sporting her black Guns N Roses t-shirt with a black hat, black jacket, and dark jeans, while Charlotte added some color with a floral-pattern dress, grey jacket, and black stockings.

Meanwhile, Sam’s girlfriend Lindsay Lohan was reportedly banned from attending the star-studded affair – being stopped by five bouncers upon trying to gain entrance.

An insider told OK! magazine: “Unless Lindsay rams a truck through the red carpet or skydives in, she won’t be here.”

“Lindsay knew she was unwanted, but came anyway, to no avail,” said another source.

Lindsay Lohan really needs to find some work soon. Apparently her stagnating career is forcing her to randomly wander onto concert stages for attention.

British chanteuse Lily Allen performed at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday night. During a cover of Britney Spears‘ hit single "Womanizer," Allen was joined by LiLo, who meandered around in a vaguely dance-like fashion for a bit.Check out Lohan’s cameo in the video below,

During the same two-week span that saw Tyson Beckford crush her modeling dreams, and Lohan complain that the public is to blame for her failing career, the mediocre actress has received more bad news.

Her latest movie, Labor Pains, is headed straight to cable.

The unfunny comedy will premiere on ABC Family in July 2009.

In the movie, Lohan portrays a woman that fakes a pregnancy in order to save her job. She must then keep the lie going for nine months.

Not really sure if this fits Lohan’s description of desired roles. Earlier this week, she said "I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it."

Lindsay Lohan has had it up to here! She’s sick and tired of people getting all up in her business (which as of late, has not included a whole lot of working) and wishes everyone would just stop already.
"I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs and I don’t lie. I love to act and write and be creative, and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it," Lohan claims. Um, is she playing a character right now?  One who doesn’t smash her girlfriend’s window?"I’d like to have my own charity, do work overseas, be in Oscar-nominated films, write movies, produce movies/shows/videos, design clothes, make music, write books, etc." Hmm, let’s focus on the spray-tan  first, honey.

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t had a movie in theaters since July of 2007, when “I Know Who Killed Me” died faster than Kurt Cobain.  So with no income, Lindsay must be making some tough decisions, analyzing her portfolio and strategies so her short-term goals still work with her financial end game.  Oh … wait.  No.  She’s buying Maseratis and big gold watches.  The Daily News says…

    Lindsay’s overspending is out of control, and it’s putting additional strain on (her) already volatile relationship (with Sam Ronson).  “Lindsay is spending like crazy!  She’s living on credit right now. She has no cash. The problem is, the money being spent is mostly Sam’s because Lindsay doesn’t really have any.”   Recent extravagant purchases the starlet has made include a $30K Rolex watch and a new Maserati, a glam ride which usually costs upward of $100K.

But no worries, Lindsay has a plan…

    "I love doing photo shoots.  I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I’d do that, because that’s fun for me.  That’s not work."

You can’t help but be impressed by the way she’ll do stuff for money as long as it’s not work.  That can-do spirit, that quest for adventure and obsession with excellence, is what made this country so great.  She’ll claw her way out of this hole in no time like this.

In an interview with Nylon magazine, Lindsay Lohan talks about what it’s like being unemployed. Us Weekly reports:

"It’s scary when you realize, ‘Oh my God, I’m not working. And I have a house to pay for now.’… and there’s been some things I’ve really wanted to do," she says in April’s Nylon.

"Like the one movie I’ve wanted to do for so long is Alice in Wonderland [directed by Tim Burton]," she continues. "But, um, that didn’t work out… it is what it is."

The 22-year-old actress — who recently fought an arrest warrant, which was recalled — goes on: "[Producers said] ‘You’re not right for the part, and that’s it.’ That’s how I like to hear it…I can take it, I’m a big girl. Obviously, you don’t want me. I don’t want to do something that somebody doesn’t want me to be involved in anyway."

But Lohan says she’s "talking to a lot of people right now" — or at least trying to.

"One is Sean Penn — I spoke to him the other day. We’re trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won’t call us back. So call us back, Seth, if you’re reading this!"

I wouldn’t be too worried if I were you, Lindsay. I mean, you’ve got whatever the hell this is. Some sort of 80’s parody commercial? Or something? I bet that’s gonna really take off. The market for standing on rotating platforms while saying, "Click…flash…bang…wink.." is huge. Probably.

Kim Kardashian is coming to the defense of Hollywood starlet, Lindsay Lohan, who has become the subject of public scrutiny in recent days.
“It’s so sad that there’s such an invasion of privacy, with camera people, cops and paparazzi outside their home,” Kim told PEOPLE, of Lindsay’s weekend legal woes, which was marked by an arrest warrant and three days of police and paparazzi camped outside of girlfriend Samantha Ronson’s home.

“It’s so sad that there’s such an invasion of privacy, with camera people, cops and paparazzi outside their home,” Kim added.

“I mean, when have you not thrown something when you’re mad? Everyone has to admit that at one time in their life, they’ve gotten so mad that they’ve thrown something, but maybe not necessarily breaking a window.”
