Of the handful of women in Versace at the Oscars ceremony, I think Tina Fey was my favorite. The color was exquisite, the fit and draping of the gown were elegant and she just looked regal. These are some of women in Versace at the Vanity Fair Oscar party last night (some photos and IDs are still coming in so I may have missed someone.)
I like the idea of Amy Adams’s dress more than the execution. It’s really a bombshell dress with both the way it clings to her and the mixed use of the draped white pieces and the black sequin net sections. There’s some visible craftsmanship in this gown. I just wish the colors and fabrics weren’t as contrasting and that the difference between the sections was more subtle. I would like to see this gown with black instead of white fabric, or just all white with white sequins over paler (not nude) mesh. Her hair and makeup are very pretty.
Heidi Klum redeemed herself, somewhat, after that terrible one sleeve Marchesa at the Oscars ceremony. She’s in Valentino and while the beading along the front is busy and continues too far down the skirt for my taste it could be much, much worse. She brought her 29 year-old boyfriend as her date, Vito Schnabel, and he looked both puffy faced and drunk. This is the guy who gets to bang Heidi Klum.

Kerry Washington, who also wore Versace to the Oscars, was in this plunging v-neck white Versace which had like a contrasting yellow butt shelf. I don’t even know what’s going on back there. The front of that intricately beaded dress is hot and I like the strappy structural details on the front and back.
