Over the weekend, LGBTQ protesters did a big, loud, dance-filled protest outside of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s Washington home. Jared and Ivanka are renting a mansion in the ritzy Kalorama neighborhood of DC, and their neighbors absolutely loathe them. The Secret Service detail on Ivanka’s family is making everything a living hell for the neighborhood and the neighbors have already been shading the sh-t out of Ivanka and Jared to press outlets. So when the protesters showed up this weekend, one beautifully petty neighbor decided to watch the protest from her front porch. This hero’s name is Dianne Bruce, and the photo of a fur-coat-clad Ms. Bruce smiling whilst enjoying a glass of wine has gone viral. So much so that both People Magazine and Cosmo did interviews with her. She is hilarious. She told People:

Why she watched the protest: “I couldn’t resist, it was just great fun, it really was. I love seeing people having fun and doing what they do. It added pizazz to the neighborhood.”

Why she wore a fur coat: “I went back in, it was chilly enough, and I thought I’d grab the first thing I could find. It wasn’t a statement or anything, it was just neighbors enjoying some fun on a Saturday night.”

She loved all of the protest-dancing: “They put on quite a show. My car was parked on the street and they walked right by it. It was very well done. There was no trash left, and they were gone by 9:30.”

She says the Kushner-Trumps have been “a little disruptive”: “When Ivanka and Jared’s children go to the park, they closed down the whole park so the children can play, that annoys people.” Ivanka’s house is on a corner, “and they have big ugly saw horses and crowd control-gates all over, and we’re not allowed to walk on the sidewalk,” Bruce says, “and they put a porta potty on the street (for the Secret Service) around the corner….I don’t know why they picked that house, it’s not a very private house. We were all sort of surprised she picked that house.”

She also spoke to Cosmo and she talked about how much she enjoyed watching all of the dancing. She says they put on a great show and most of the neighborhood came out to watch the protesters. She also says that the Obamas now live down the road and they’re not anywhere near as disruptive, and that President Obama goes for walks sometimes with a small detail and he always waves hello. *cough*
