Despite rumors to the contrary, Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift are still BFFs. Taylor’s relationships with the other squad members may come and go depending on the photo-op, but her friendship with Karlie seems solid. They were together two weekends ago at Karlie’s birthday party in the Hamptons, and Karlie was also at Tay’s Independence Day party.

The rumors of a BFF-breakup really began swirling earlier this year, when Karlie made an appearance at Kanye West’s NYFW show, the same show where he debuted the song “Famous”… the song about Taylor Swift. While Tay-Tay the Snake Emoji was lying up a storm about how Kanye had never spoke to her about the lyric, Karlie stayed quiet. It was almost as if she didn’t want to publicly choose sides. The same thing happened when Kim Kardashian showed the receipts – while some of Taylor’s squad rushed to defend her, Karlie didn’t say a word publicly. Is it possible that Karlie was always firmly Team Snake Emoji but she only supported Taylor behind the scenes. It’s also possible that Karlie really doesn’t give a sh-t about Taylor’s latest Mean Girl theatrics. Karlie was asked directly about Kim Kardashian and her answer is very… interesting.

Squad member Karlie Kloss has remained quiet on a certain subject ever since the #KimExposedTaylorParty broke out a few short weeks ago. Now, Karlie is finally ready to talk but since she’s still has a squad membership card, her words remain drama-free.

In a new interview with the Sunday Times Style magazine, Karlie was asked if she thinks Kim Kardashian is a “good person.”

“Ha … you know … I honestly … I … I … I think she’s been a lovely person to me in the past. Look, I really don’t know her that well.”

The magazine also asked Karlie who her closest friends are. She left all her actual friends out of this one: “My closest friends, really, are my sisters and my mum.”

When her squad was brought up again, she gave this very general comment: “My friends are kind, caring, thoughtful people. I think that’s what draws everyone in the group together. We are all very supportive of each other. We’re a big network of really great friends who all have very international schedules and lives. We try to get together as much as possible, even if we’re all travelling in different places.”

What I hear is someone who doesn’t want to get involved. Karlie might not even like Kim or Kanye that much, but she wants to make it clear that she has no personal beef with Kim. But I’m worried that Taylor is going to be really upset with Karlie’s answer for her “closest friends.” Her mom and her sisters? NO TAY-TAY? Buuurn. That’s it. Add Karlie’s name to Taylor’s sh-t list. We’re going to need a bigger Sh-t List notebook, you guys.
