It’s one big happy family for Sandra Bullock and her two kids: son Louis, 5, and 3-year-old daughter Laila.
“It’s like she’s always been there,” Sandra told Access Hollywood of her newly adopted daughter, who had been in foster care in her home state of Louisiana.
And it sounds like Louis is loving big brotherhood.
“It’s like he’s been waiting for her. Nothing has changed and everything has changed, but it’s not different,” said the Academy Award-winning actress. “I don’t know how to explain that. It’s like she’s always been there, or we were always making room for her and waiting for her.”
But according to the Our Brand is Crisis star, there has been one change.
“It’s louder,” the actress, 51, shared. “It’s so much louder, because she’s got a voice that carries. She’s going to be a singer, or a judge. … Someone who commands a room with her voice.”
The mom-of-two, who voiced Minions villain Scarlett Overkill, said motherhood has shaped her career.
“If it were up to my son, I’d be doing nothing but LEGO movies and Batman,” Bullock joked. “I keep looking for the films he loves, and apparently there’s no need for me.”
She added: “Maybe now they’ll be a need for me in the films that she likes. Frozen, they seem to already have that down, so I’m going to find something. … You want [your kids] to be able to at least see something you’ve done.”
In December, Bullock shared her joyous adoption news with PEOPLE.
“I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere,” Bullock said of Laila, who has brought “pink and glitter in the house mixed with LEGOs and Batmans.”
