I really didn’t want to devote another post to another High Rise trailer, but here we go. I covered the first High Rise trailer back in December, then I devoted a post to the second trailer in January. And they released a third trailer, featuring MOAR HIDDLES/LEGS/SEX, on Tuesday. Like it was a special gift for Hiddleston’s 35th birthday. So, behold… a brief glimpse of Hiddleston/Laing on the balcony. Naked except for a large pamphlet and small towel covering his face. This trailer is also our first real look at Elisabeth Moss’s character. I think Laing is banging both Moss and Sienna Miller in this film. Here’s the third trailer:

So, the Dragonflies got their legs and their pale, English nudity. I hope you ladies are happy! I feel like the studio did cut this trailer just for the Hiddles fans specifically.

There is some updated information about the release dates, actually. The film will be released in theaters in the UK on March 18, and it will come to video-on-demand in America on April 28th. But! High Rise will also have a limited theatrical release in America starting May 13th. Which doesn’t bode well, quite honestly, for a potential awards-season campaign later in the year. VOD releases, while increasingly popular, are a harbinger of doom for films that want some awards-season legitimacy. So even if they’re putting some money into a limited theatrical release, the stank of VOD will still follow the movie.

What sucks is that out of all of Hiddleston’s film released in a year’s time, High Rise is the one that looks the most interesting to me. I think they’re also trying to coordinate the High Rise release with The Night Manager airing in America AND the release of I Saw the Light in America (that comes out in March). Like, Hiddleston will be doing press in the UK and America for two whole months in March & April. Not really, but we will hopefully get some new interviews and such.

Also: Hiddleston wrote a lovely piece in Harper’s Bazaar UK honoring his Night Manager costar Olivia Colman – you can read the piece here. To hear Hiddles tell it, it was all his idea to cast Olivia even though she was heavily pregnant throughout the filming. The press around her pregnancy is kind of funny – people act like this is the first time EVAH that a pregnant woman has been cast in something.

Tom Hiddleston in “High-Rise” will leave you hot and bothered https://t.co/OKVB83pYiU pic.twitter.com/wHuLQ6IoWt
