After picking up her adorable little girl from pre-school, the pair took a stroll over to a local juice bar for a delicious midday treat.

Aside from spending precious time with her family, Jen is currently involved in a new film project titled "Butter".

Per IMDB, the comedy "is set in the Midwest U.S., where an adopted girl discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town’s annual contest."

Hot on the promotional trail, Jessica Simpson was spotted making her rounds in New York City on Wednesday.

The “Dukes of Hazzard” damsel gave a smile and a wave as she popped into the Ed Sullivan Theatre for a “Late Show with David Letterman” appearance.

After two separate sentencing delays, New Orleans rap star Lil Wayne was officially sentenced to prison in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Wayne was sentenced to the prison term after the rapper admitted to possessing a loaded .40 caliber handgun that was found on his tour bus following a performance in New York in July 2007.

Rapper Lil Wayne begins his one year prison sentence today, after pleading guilty to gun charges.

The rapper was escorted by police and his Cash Money crew into court.

Lil Wayne was dressed in black jeans, a black shirt and a gray jacket.

The judge agreed to put Lil Wayne in protective custody for his one year prison stay. The rapper also requested special medical attention for his dental problems while serving out his jail sentence.

The Judge offered Lil Wayne the opportunity to make a statement but he declined.

Lil Wayne was cuffed and nodded to Cash Money executives, Birdman and Slim.

Although Lil Wayne will be in jail for at least eight months, he has recorded videos and will be releasing new music while behind bars.
