Brad Pitt was seen and photographed this week in LA, where he’s been on lockdown since March (to my knowledge). He was spotted without a mask in Malibu, hanging out with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Apparently, that’s Flea’s motorcycle and Brad was checking it out. I’m still kind of surprised that Brad hangs out with so many rockers, but hey – same generation and all of that. The ‘90s connection.

There’s been a lot of talk about Brad’s hair. I’ve seen some photos where that sh-t looks like a crooked wig, but sure, whatever, I guess he’s growing out his hair in “lockdown.” Many of us are! I gave myself a trim in early April, but I haven’t cut my hair since then. I’ve just decided to grow it out until I can’t stand it anymore. Maybe Brad’s the same.

Meanwhile, Brad and Angelina’s daughter Shiloh just turned 14 years old this week. For some reason, “a source” ran to Entertainment Tonight to talk about it:

Brad Pitt is proud of his and Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh. The 56-year-old Oscar winner and father of six remains close with Shiloh, who turned 14 on Wednesday.

“Shiloh is close to both of her parents. All the kids have been looking forward to Shiloh’s birthday and plan to celebrate with a birthday cake,” a source tells ET. “Brad is so proud of Shiloh and who she has become. He loves that she always stays true to herself and is so good to her brothers and sisters.”

Pitt and Jolie split in 2016, but are in a better place these days.

“Brad’s kids are the most important thing to him. He tells his friends he learns so much about life from his own children,” the source continues. “He and Angie have been getting along so much better since the custody rules have been worked out. They have come so far.”

I bet Angelina Jolie has felt like a caged lion during lockdown – she’s used to traveling on a monthly basis, and this must be the longest she’s ever stayed in one place in decades. But it would make sense if Angelina and Brad used the lockdown to work out some sh-t. I… also wonder if Shiloh, now 14, will join her older siblings in choosing to see less of Brad. That happened as soon as Zahara turned 14 – she began opting out of some visits with Brad. Maddox and Pax have reportedly not seen Brad in a while, probably years.

I’m loath to give any attention to Kellyanne Conway, who is still, somehow, a senior advisor to Donald Trump. I guess a person can survive that toxic stew for years if they simply make a Faustian bargain to give up their soul and their hairdresser. There’s been increased chatter for weeks about how the Trump administration will openly seek to suppress the vote in this year’s election. The chatter has only increased with Trump’s falling poll numbers – I mean, Georgia is in play this year. Many “red states” will be in play. So instead of, you know, trying to be a functional administration, the Trumpers are just going to openly suppress the vote and equate mail-in voting with voter fraud. According to Kellyanne Conway, people *love* to wait in line for hours to vote anyway:

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Wednesday defended President Trump’s attack on mail-in voting by likening the task of standing in line at a cupcake shop to waiting in line to vote at the polls. “People very proudly show up and go to the polls,” Conway told reporters on the White House lawn. “They really are, I mean they wait in line at Georgetown Cupcake for an hour to get a cupcake. So I think they can probably wait in line to do something as consequential and critical and constitutionally significant as cast their ballot.” Trump has insisted, without evidence, on Twitter that there is “no way” mail-in voting will be “anything less than substantially fraudulent.” The social media giant fact-checked his misleading claim with a label reading “Get the facts about mail-in ballots.”

True story, Georgetown Cupcakes is doing delivery-only during the pandemic/lockdown. So people aren’t waiting in line for hours for cupcakes. And even if people do wait in line for cupcakes, CUPCAKES ARE NOT VOTING RIGHTS. There’s literally nothing wrong with voting by mail, especially since we’re likely to still be in the middle of a global pandemic on Election Day. 100,000 dead, remember them, Kellyanne?

Reese Witherspoon recently shared her smoothie recipe on Instagram and it’s epic! I drink a similar green concoction, I’ll share my ingredients below, but hers is above and beyond. She mixes up two heads of romaine lettuce with an entire peeled lemon, a pear and an apple and drinks it every morning. It’s worth noting that Reese uses a Vitamix, not a juicer, so she’s getting all the fiber from the fruits and vegetables. That’s the same device I use, although I saved a little money by getting mine refurbished. You can get a new Vitamix on Amazon for around $330. I’ve had mine for about 8 years and it’s more than paid for itself. Reese just drinks that giant smoothie as a late breakfast and doesn’t eat again until lunchtime around 1. Here’s what she said.

This is the smoothie I [have had] every day for the past 8 years. I have this instead of breakfast at around 10 or 11 in the morning. Then I’m not hungry until like 1. You need two heads of romaine lettuce. [She chops it up]. A little spinach, celery, anything green [from] the refrigerator. It has to have something sweet so I put in one pear, an apple, a banana and a [peeled] lemon. This makes two portions. I leave it in the fridge and I don’t have to make it tomorrow. 1/2 cup coconut water. [Blend it in the Vitamix]. You can add anything to it, protein powder, almond butter, flax seeds. [Kerry Washington] told me about it [before I really knew her]. I said ‘your skin is so beautiful, what do you do?’ She said ‘I think it’s from this drink.’

Reese’s smoothie is super thick, which is not how I like mine. It also doesn’t sound sweet enough. My smoothie is a bunch of kale, about 1/2 the full bunch I get loose at the grocery store and I don’t take the stems off, about 1/3 cup of some frozen fruit mix including coconut, strawberry and pineapple, 1/2 a banana, a squeeze of some ginger in a tube and a lot of stevia. I’ve made it with romaine before, my mom told me to do that, but I prefer kale because it has more nutrients. I don’t use spinach because it gets wilted too fast and I hate how that tastes. I used to put protein powder in it and that tasted great because it has so much sugar, but I stopped using that. I make it really watery and just fill the water halfway up the blender. Like Reese I make it every other day and save the other half in a vacuum-seal container. Someone once commented that drinking all that kale can give you kidney stones, but knock wood that has not happened to me and I try to drink a lot of water. I drink the shake around 8 and then eat breakfast around 10 though. Maybe I should be fasting longer like Reese does. A lot of you swear by that!

Netflix’s Filthy Rich came out on Wednesday. Filthy Rich is the four-part docuseries about Jeffrey Epstein. The filmmakers interviewed many of Epstein’s victims on-camera about his abuses. Virginia Roberts was one of the victims who went on-camera – she’s so brave to keep discussing this and I’m sure she’s been threatened by very powerful people. Virginia spoke again about the first time she was trafficked to Prince Andrew when she was just 17 years old:

Prince Andrew allegedly made jokes about the age of his accuser Virginia Roberts and compared it to that of his daughters before going on to have sex with her, she has claimed. An astonishing new documentary into the life and crimes of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has brought to air some new details from Miss Roberts, who recalls her first encounter meeting the prince in London.

Though Prince Andrew strongly insists he has no recollections of ever meeting Miss Roberts, in the new Filthy Rich documentary she outlines how in 2001 she met the Duke in the townhouse of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell, before a guessing game was to be played.

She told interviewers for the series: ‘Ghislaine has this favourite guessing game that she does, she goes to Prince Andrew ‘how old do you think Virginia is?’ And he said 17. She’s like, ‘Oh you’re right!’ They made a little joke about it. He was like, ‘my daughters aren’t far from your age. My daughters are a little bit younger than you.’

As previously revealed by Miss Roberts, she then goes on to once more recall the spiral of events which saw her party in the company of the prince in a private London nightclub, before returning to Maxwell’s townhouse in the west of the city.

‘We went out for the night, club Tramp in London,’ she adds. ‘He dances and he’s profusely sweating over me and it was disgusting. We get back to the townhouse, go upstairs. I have this little Kodak yellow camera and I ask Jeffrey to take a photo of me and Prince Andrew together. Ghislaine Maxwell is literally just right behind me. She tells me, you’re going to have to do for him what you do for Jeffrey, and it hit me. Right after that photo was taken I was sexually abused by Prince Andrew for the first time.’

I believe her. I still believe her. I believe her recollection of the disgusting conversation about her age too. Of course Andrew knew that she was only 17 years old. Of course he knew that Virginia was “a gift” to him from Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Of course he got off on raping a teenager trafficked to him.

I’ve also seen a lot of discussion about how the Cambridge-Tatler drama is being used as a distraction for Andrew’s criminal acts. Come on – it was obvious last year when the Buckingham Palace courtiers threw the Sussexes under the bus constantly to distract from Andrew, but that’s not what is happening this week. This week, Prince William and Kate f–ked up and it’s a separate issue from Andrew.

I don’t follow any YouTube personality, so I’m just going from other outlets’ reporting that Myka and James Stauffer are popular YouTube personalities. They make YouTube videos – which I assume are pretty popular – about their family life with their five kids. One of their five kids, Huxley, was adopted from China almost three years ago. Huxley apparently has autism, at least according to Myka and James. And because of of his autism, the Stauffers have decided to “rehome” their son. They gave him away. Because he didn’t fit in with their inspo-parent YouTube life and it was too hard.

YouTuber Myka Stauffer and her husband James have announced that they have decided to “rehome” their son Huxley, who they adopted nearly three years ago from China. Myka and James said that they weren’t aware of what it would be like to take care of Huxley, who has autism.

“Once Huxley came home, there was a lot more special needs that we weren’t aware of, and that we were not told,” James said in a video shared on Tuesday. “For us, it’s been really hard hearing from the medical professionals, a lot of their feedback, and things that have been upsetting,” he continued. “We’ve never wanted to be in this position. And we’ve been trying to get his needs met and help him out as much as possible… We truly love him.”

“There’s not an ounce of our body that doesn’t love Huxley with all of our being,” Myka tearfully added. “There wasn’t a minute that I didn’t try our hardest and I think what Jim is trying to say is that after multiple assessments, after multiple evaluations, numerous medical professionals have felt that he needed a different fit and that his medical needs, he needed more.”

“Do I feel like a failure as a mom? Like, 500 percent,” Myka said, saying that Huxley was living with a “new mommy” in a “forever home.”

“The last couple months have been like the hardest thing I could have ever imagined to going to choosing to do because ultimately, after pouring our guts and our heart into this little boy,” she said. “He is thriving, he is happy, he is doing really well, and his new mommy has medical professional training, and it is a very good fit.”

The couple asked their subscribers to honor their privacy and said that they wouldn’t be going into further details about why they made the decision place their son with another family.

Is there anything more pathetic than the sentence “The couple asked their subscribers to honor their privacy”? Especially when it’s in regard to people being outraged that this couple is giving away a child who has developmental disabilities. I’m not going to pretend that I have first-hand knowledge about raising children or raising special needs children. What I do understand is that there are plenty of resources at the local, states and federal level for special needs kids. There are resources like that because most parents don’t give away their children – excuse me, “rehome” their children – when the children don’t fit in with their white mommy-inspo life. It feels like they adopted Huxley so he would look good on Instagram and they gave up when it got too hard.

The last couple days have been hard I don’t want to sugar coat anything. We have had a lot of melt downs, and lots of behaviors that have had us on our knees begging god for guidance! On social medial and Youtube we rarely show the behaviors or the hard stuff, because we try our best to respect our sons privacy and dignity. We have hard days, lots of them.
