Oscar-winning star Jennifer Lawrence is to produce her first film.

The graceful actress will be producing an adaptation of the novel ‘The Glass Castle’, by Jeanette Wallis.

The blonde artist explained that it was her mom that persuaded her to take on the role.

Jennifer said: “My mother is like the lucky charm with these kinds of things.

“She read Winter’s Bone and Hunger Games and when I read The Glass Castle I thought it was amazing, so we found Gil Netter, the producer who had the rights, and he and I started talking and now we are developing. We have a director and a writer and it’s getting going”.

The story gives an account of her dysfunctional upbringing, which Walls had with an artist mother and an alcoholic father.

At present, Destin Cretton is on board to direct the film.
