After an NYC casting call for America’s Next Top Model turned ugly Saturday as hundreds of hopefuls were caught in a stampede resulting in three arrests and six injuries, the show’s host and executive producer Tyra Banks tells aspiring models that they will still have a chance to compete.

“To all the Top Model hopefuls who were affected by the New York casting, we are doing everything we can to make sure that ALL the girls who weren’t seen, get an opportunity to audition — we’ll update you on our plans very soon,” Banks told Usmagazine.com in a statement Monday.

Well, we weren’t expecting this one. Chris Tarrant was arrested yesterday on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend Jane Bird – but she later withdrew her complaint. According to sources close to the couple, who have been together for nearly three years, a drunken row got out of hand and Jane called the police, who arrested the 62 year old Who Wants To Be A Millionaire presenter and took him to Staines police station, where he spent the night. “There was a lot of pushing and shoving, a lot of shuffling if you like,” says a source. “They were both pissed as farts. Very tanked-up – both in a poor state. They had a bust-up. There was no hitting or anything like that. Chris was screaming at her “Bugger off and get out of my house”. Chris was trying to physically push her out of the door. Remember she’s a lot smaller than him so it was probably quite intimidating. She said to the police that it was all a big mistake. She clearly felt remorse over what happened. It was a typically silly pissed argument about nothing.” A police spokesman added, “We can confirm a man in his early 60s was arrested in the early hours following a domestic dispute on suspicion of common assault. He was later released without charge.” Blimey, aren’t they a bit old for this sort of nonsense?!

Radio personality Don Imus has prostate cancer [wikipedia] and Imus’s cancer is in stage II (which means the cancer is in early stage and has not spread outside the prostate to other organs), according to the media report. The 68-year-old radio host told his listeners of Imus In The Morning show from New York Monday that he is battling stage II prostate cancer. Don Imus is confident doctors can cure him but has noted he most probably will have to miss some broadcasting work due to the cancer treatment. “The day you find out is fine. But the next morning when you get up, your knees are shaking. I didn’t think I could make it to work.” said Mr. Imus. We wish Mr. Don Imus all the best! Despite the comedic claims that her husband is a rampaging slut, “Lucy” found the Sarah Silverman amusing, and was further amused to receive a “I’m fucking Matt Damon” shirt in the mail with a note that read, “You’re actually the only person who can wear this.”

Damon says, “I swear it wasn’t me who sent it. She was pregnant at the time, so it was really funny to watch her wear the shirt … We both laughed a lot.”

Oh, how we love a celebrity feud. But while we expect lots of bitchy gobbing off from the likes of Lily Allen and Lindsay Lohan, this latest spat is a little more unlikely – Radiohead are involved! The normally quiet and unassuming band have hit back at everyone’s favourite Disney brat Miley Cyrus after she slagged them off for snubbing her at the Grammys. Miley is apparently a long-term fan of the band (even though she wasn’t even born when they started out – scary or what?) but threatened to “ruin” them after they refused to speak to her at the awards last month. “I’d already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out,” she says. “This is someone who I, like, would have cried to have met. Stinkin’ Radiohead!” Anyway, much to our shock, Radiohead have now responded to Miley – and it’s amazing. “When Miley grows up she’ll learn not to have a sense of entitlement,” their spokesperson said. Wow, you tell her Thom! So, she did get a response from her favourite band after all, but perhaps not quite the one she was hoping for…

Things have been looking up for Britney of late, haven’t they? When she’s not cavorting on stage in a nipple-tassled and tattooed body stocking, she’s playing the perfect “mom” to her two sons. But when it comes to love, things aren’t looking too great. Last week, Britters was linked with her agent Jason Trawick – but it’s like, so totally not true, and she’s still single. Boo. A source says, “They are absolutely, 100 per cent not dating. He is her agent, and that is it. He has been her agent for four years, and they are very close friends. He gets on with her family, but there is absolutely categorically nothing romantic going on.” Boooooring, we want a romance for Britney – a real one!

Former 1970s radical and longtime fugitive Sara Jane Olson will be released from a California prison on Tuesday and will begin her 3-year parole in Minnesota. Read more on Sara Jane Olsen’s story below.

Sara Jane Olson, who was a fugitive for over twenty years after attempting to kill Los Angeles police officers as well as participating in a deadly bank robbery while a member of the Symbionese Liberation Army, is scheduled to be released from a California prison.

Police in LA and Minnesota are objecting to the terms of her parole.

Olson was set free by California corrections officials a year ago when they miscalculated her parole date. She was then re-arrested five days later as she was boarding a flight to Minnesota.

“After what happened last year, I think she won’t feel comfortable until she’s back in Minnesota,” said David Nickerson, one of her lawyers. “She is just anxious about getting out … until she’s home, until she knows it’s real. She wants to be with her family.”

Olson, 62, is scheduled to be released Tuesday from the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla.

Many people want Sara Olsen to serve her parole in California, where her crimes were committed.

Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Republican presidential candidate John McCain, blasted radio host Laura Ingraham for remarking that she is “plus-sized.”

Meghan wrote on her Twitter page, “Laura Ingraham, please stop talking about my body.” Then McCain gave this message to other girls saying: “To all my girls out there. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about your body! I love my curves and you should love yours, too!”

That’s cool of Meghan to stand her ground don’t you guys think? And damn, she is quite attractive. Take a look at Laura Ingraham. She may be thin but is ugly.

Meghan also added: “At this point, I have more respect for Ann Coulter than I do for Laura Ingraham because at least Coulter didn’t come back at me with heartless, substance-less attacks about my weight.”

Wow, that buys a lot of dog biscuits. This means that the adventures of the badly behaved Marley and his loving but long suffering family, played brilliantly by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, have topped the likes of Slumdog Millionaire and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. We love that a cute little Labrador puppy is more popular than Brad Pitt. Quite right too!

There’s a particular sub-set of London celebrities who all think they’re oh-so edgy and individual, and these two ladies are right at the thick of it. So, we can’t help but be amused that they’ve turned up to the birthday celebrations of another of their flock in virtually identical outfits. Embarrassing or what?! Both Miquita Oliver and model du jour Alice Dellal sashayed into Peaches Geldof’s 20th birthday bash at insufferable idiot totally cool hipster hot-spot Bungalow 8 wearing faded denim hotpants, black leather jackets, floral vest tops, tights and big black boots.
