Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds was honored as one of GQ’s Men of the Year on Thursday (December 8) in Los Angeles, Calif., where he opened up about life with his wife, Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, and their two daughters.

“I get more cool points at home for like, you know, changing a diaper or something like that, but yeah this is, this doesn’t suck,” Reynolds, 40, told Entertainment Tonight about the award. “[It] doesn’t suck, standing up there next to Warren Beatty doesn’t suck.”

Are there any similarities between his newborn daughter and 2-year-old James?

“Well, they look alike,” said the proud papa. “You can see that she’s sort of a little mini version of our older girl. But, no, it’s great. It’s like an actually cohesive, working, functioning family. It’s amazing to see my older daughter taking care of my younger one. The Lion King was right! The circle of life exists.”

He went on to gush about his lovely wife who “looks fantastic.”

“I don’t know of what you speak with this ‘getting back in shape,’” he teased. “She looks fantastic! So I don’t know. It’s like, yeah, whatever we do to stay healthy is what we do. It’s great!”

The A-listers welcomed their second daughter – whose name has yet to be announced – in September.
