Leonardo DiCaprio met with Donald and Ivanka Trump this week to discuss green jobs.
But why, seriously, when Donald and Ivanka wanted to talk about the environment, did they call in Leo? The meeting may have been facilitated by former Vice President Al Gore, but it could also be the work of an…

For the most part, I feel like we treat Jenna Dewan as an extension of her husband Channing Tatum, like she’s Rita Wilson to his Tom Hanks. That’s unfair to Jenna (and to Rita). Jenna is an accomplished dancer and actress in her own right, and beyond that, she seems like a really cool person. I’ve always thought that Jenna made Channing into the man he is today too – she helped him plot his Hollywood course, she encouraged his charity work, she broadened his horizons and opened up his life significantly. Anyway, Jenna covers the January issue of Cosmopolitan and the interview excerpts are charming. She talks about her sex life with Channing! Yay!

On when she told Tatum he probably wasn’t ready to jump into another relationship and would see him on set: “It was two nights of being weird. We hadn’t even kissed. And then he went out partying with a bunch of dancers. His room was right above mine, and he came down drunk with a sombrero on, banging on my door. He was like,“I couldn’t stop thinking about you. Let’s do this. I just want to be with you.” From that point forward, we were together.”

On her and Tatum’s sex life: “…I’ve always been a very sexual person. We definitely have a very happy and healthy [sex life]. Something about being a dancer connects you to your physical body. It’s primal, earthy, sexual energy by nature. You feel your body in a certain way. Channing is very much the same way. He’s very in tune with that.”

On being a Reiki healer: “I like to play around. I’ll do it with Evie when she’s getting overwhelmed. She thinks it’s so funny. It’s an ancient healing modality from Japan where you tap into a conscious energy conflict. Chan loves it. He gets all the nice side effects of having a hippie wife.”

[From Cosmopolitan]

I didn’t realize that their daughter Everly’s nickname is “Evie.” That’s cute. But I bet people always think her name is Evelyn or Eve. As for Channing and Jenna’s sex life… yes, let me imagine it. Because I bet it’s really, really hot. Please let me believe in this love story. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Channing acting shady or fooling around either – I want to believe that he fell for Jenna and hasn’t looked at another woman since. I want to believe that Jenna and Channing will have a smoking sex life for years and decades to come. Please give me that!

Gigi Hadid announced that she is breaking up with social media. Although, because it is only for a month, she and social media will just be on a break so social media can sleep with the copy-shop girl if it wants to (wink and nudge to the Friends fans out there). Gigi, who was a part of Reebox’s #PerfectNever panel discussion in New York on Wednesday, claimed she will be off Twitter and Instagram for one month to focus on herself and her career. What’s more, she thinks we should all do the same because everyone takes a side in a breakup, don’t they?

Gigi Hadid is going through a breakup (no, not with Zayn.) The “social media” supermodel says she’s splitting from Instagram and Twitter for a month around the holidays to focus on herself and her career.

“It’s not only for people in the spotlight, it’s for everyone,” the 21-year-old star told PeopleStyle at Reebok’s #PerfectNever campaign launch event in N.Y.C. on Wednesday. “At the end of the day, I’m choosing what I’m showing you. A lot of the world feels so much entitlement in other people’s lives, which is so crazy and so new for human beings. We never had that.”

She added that her cleanse from the networking apps will also help her block out negativity and Internet hate.

“I’m going to take a break when I feel like it and when I come back and share it with you if you want to be supportive and still follow me I’m so grateful for that,” she said. “But if you’re going to be negative or be upset that I had to be human for a month than maybe I don’t want your follow anyway.”

Hadid finds the process of stepping away to be not only “empowering,” but also a good way for her to connect with those around her.

“I’m so grateful for social media because it’s given me so much more in my career, but I also really respect my career without the social media aspect,” she said. “And I really want to still pay most of the attention to my job as a craft and not lose the art in it and the relationships that are meaningful to me not because of the money or the contracts but because of how I inspired designers and how they inspire me. I want to go back to focusing on that kind of relationship within fashion when I go to work for the next month.”

[From People]

I have many thoughts on this but I need to qualify them all by saying that I have no social media game. I mean, I have a blank Instagram account that I forget about until Instagram emails me. As Gigi and her ilk are referred to as Instamodels because that is how they rose to fame, doesn’t this kind of reek of “don’t bite the hands that feeds you?” Don’t get me wrong I am all for social media blackouts but mine are slightly shorter, like a weekend or even just after 4PM. Also, I understand giving others a heads up about why you aren’t responding electronically but I always feel when someone shoots me an article about unplugging and says, “I am totally doing this, we all should!” that the real subtext is “okay, everyone get off social media so I don’t miss anything while I off it.”

I know Gigi was assaulted by that a—h-le Vitalii Sediuk in Milan and I imagine she is looking at quite a few things differently as a result. Her comments on taking a break seem personal. I can’t quite figure out, however, if she was dragged online (maybe for her Melania impression at the AMAS?) or if she is having a crisis of conscience about her career. That last paragraph is hard to decipher but it sounds a little like she might be worried that she doesn’t have a career without social media. If that is the case, I hope she gets what she wants out of this break.

Back in October, Andrew Upton was pictured in Sydney with his arm around actress Harriet Dyer. The Daily Mail published the photos and while there was nothing obviously incriminating about them, as I posted at the time, that body language made me uncomfortable. As I also wrote, however, Cate and …

What do you know about Sofia Richie? I only learned that a person named Sofia Richie exists earlier this year. She turned 18 years old this year. She’s Lionel Richie’s daughter. She’s Nicole Richie’s younger sister. She dated Justin Bieber for several months. And that’s it. That’s literally all I know about her. Of course, that doesn’t mean that she’s totally vapid and without personality – she could easily walk into an interview and wow me with her thoughts on music, feminism, celebrity, social media, what have you. But that’s not what happened. What happened is that Sofia agreed to sit down for an interview with Complex and then her publicist tried to literally shut down EVERY SINGLE QUESTION. The publicist didn’t want Sofia to talk about her father, or her sister. Or Justin Bieber. Or fame. Or love. Or anything. It’s actually really hilarious, because Complex immediately shifts the focus away from “here’s a standard profile of a young celebrity who is famous for nothing” and it becomes “this girl is vapid and her publicist is an a—hole.”

Oh, and Justin Bieber’s other alleged girlfriend Bronte Blampied was there for the entire interview too. Bronte and Sofia are BFFs now and they go to Bible study classes together. You cannot make this up. You can read the full Complex piece here (it really is an amazing hate-read if you have a few minutes). Some highlighted quotes from the questions Sofia was allowed to answer once her publicist settled down:

The bad comments on her social media: “This sh-t is crazy! I was laughing about my life, like, oh my god, people are so psychotic. Some girl I don’t even know commented on my picture a week ago, ‘You should go kill yourself.’ I just had to say something. I commented back, ‘I just want to understand the sadness in your heart.’ A lot of people say they know me and my life, but no one really does. Except for, like, my family and Bronte. It’s frustrating. My whole thing is I’m trying to spread love to everyone. Some people don’t see that, but I really am trying to spread positivity to people.”

Whether she’s actually dating Bronte Blampied, not Justin Bieber: “She’s like another sister to me. Honestly, Bronte and I just love each other. [My] love life is interesting. I’m trying to stay focused on my career and my family and give as much love out. I’m trying to do the best I can with L.A. and travel and everything that’s happening around me.”

She mostly has guy friends:
“I was the most reckless little kid. I only had guy friends. I had a Nintendo and, when I went to normal school, I used to tape it under my desk and then pull it out and play on it. I still mainly only have guy friends; Bronte is, like, my only girlfriend.”

She grew up with the Jenners & Hadids: “We all grew up the same way, so we all kind of had that understanding of everything. Just a looking-out-for-each-other kind of sense—sisters. Everyone’s like Gigi Hadid! And I’m like, ‘Oh, Gigi? Oh.’ I’m really proud of all them, though.”

She’s super-Christian: “I went to Oaks Christian, if you’ve heard of that? It’s in the Valley. I went there for two years, and that’s where I got my sense. My family wanted church to be a place where we all went together. My dad was always traveling and my mom was always working. School is where I did Bible classes and studied God.” Richie’s really serious about God, calling her faith her “main ground” and “the most interesting thing in my life.” She ticks off a list of books she’s reading, including The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, a best-selling guide to communicating with your partner, and Emotions: Freedom From Anger, Jealousy, and Fear by Osho, a self-help book. “I went to the bookstore and I was like, this is all so deep! So the least-deep one I found was Emotions.”

She’s been criticized for taking modeling gigs: “It’s not like I called and begged these designers to work with me. They felt my vibe and we were cool and that’s that. People obviously don’t respect some of the shoots I do because I’m short and this or that, but I really don’t let that stuff get to me.”

Hollywood racism: “I’m very light, so some people don’t really know that I’m black. I’ve been in situations where people will say something kind of racist and I’ll step in and they’ll be like, ‘Oh, well, you’re light.’ That still doesn’t cut it, buddy. It’s 2016—you better get your sh-t together before you get slapped out here.”

She’s not going to be just a socialite: “You’re a socialite because you’re born into it. That’s not what I want. I actually really enjoy work ethic.”

[From Complex]

The lengthiest part of the dialogue between the Complex journalist, Bronte and Sofia was when they begin to go on and on about their Bible study classes and how they’ve learned how to support each other and love is all you need, and I desperately wanted the publicist to interrupt but he didn’t. As for the rest of it… she’s a vapid 18-year-old. She doesn’t do anything but hang out with friends, go to Bible study, go shopping and maybe date Justin Bieber (or perhaps date Bronte). “I actually really enjoy work ethic” – she sounds like a robot socialite.

Because I don’t believe the Grammys are a big deal whatsoever, I didn’t pay much attention to the “snubs” and “surprises” within this year’s nominations. I mean, didn’t we all know that Beyonce and Adele were going to sweep through most of the major categories? Sure, there were notable snubs for Drake, the late David Bowie, Justin Timberlake (hahaha, his stupid/awful “Can’t Stop the Feeling” didn’t get nominated in any major category) and Frank Ocean (although Ocean’s snubs are very complicated). But basically, we knew what we were getting: a diva showdown. But here’s something I didn’t realize: Beyonce submitted her collaboration with the Dixie Chicks, “Daddy Lessons,” in the Country categories. And she got snubbed.

Better luck next time, Bey. Beyoncé’s hit “Daddy Lessons” was rejected by the Grammy Recording Academy’s country music committee despite the fact that she performed the song with the Dixie Chicks — to great acclaim from fans, and controversy from racist corners — at the CMA Awards earlier this year. On Wednesday, December 7, a source familiar with the Grammy nomination process told The Associated Press that even though Queen Bey, 35, had submitted the twangy song for the category, it was summarily rejected.

In November, Beyoncé surprised fans and caused a minor stir when she appeared onstage at the CMAs alongside the Dixie Chicks to deliver a rousing rendition of “Daddy Lessons.”

At the time, country artists like Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley defended Beyoncé against naysayers who claimed the Lemonade singer didn’t belong at the show. (Fans upset with the decision to include Beyoncé tweeted racist and inappropriate comments bemoaning the artist’s appearance.) “People that criticize can kiss my a–,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight days prior to the awards show. “That’s what I say. I can’t believe people that don’t contribute to music that criticize music, it just blows my mind and Beyoncé — tell them to kiss that a–, is what I would do.”

Beyoncé’s other genre-bending songs received nominations in categories ranging from rock performance for “Don’t Hurt Yourself” (with Jack White) to rap/sung performance for “Freedom” (with Kendrick Lamar.) She received a total of nine nominations Tuesday, and her multi-genre nominations makes her the first artist to earn nominations in the rock, pop, R&B and rap categories in the same year. Additionally, Beyoncé nabbed a nod for the coveted Album of the Year award, where she is up against artists as far-ranging as Justin Bieber for Purpose, Adele for 25, Drake for Views and country artist Sturgill Simpson for A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. Her nine nominations makes her the most nominated female singer in Grammy history, with 62 nominations over the years.

[From Us Weekly]

Personally, I loved the Dixie Chicks-Beyonce collab, and their live CMA performance made me flat-out love the song. I wonder why the Grammys rejected it, hmmmmm??? Because it was VERY “country.” Incidentally, I’ve seen a few people bitching about Bey’s nominations in Rock categories for “Don’t Hurt Yourself.” You guys, “Don’t Hurt Yourself” is one of the best songs on Lemonade, and yes, it is a rock song. Jack White kills it on that song. It’s amazing.

Meanwhile, did you hear about Rihanna’s not-so-subtle shade for Beyonce? Rihanna “liked” some major Bey-Grammy shade on Instagram, then Rihanna had to comment that she did not intend to shade Bey at all. The whole thing was about “Rihanna should have gotten more Grammy nominations for her album,” although… once again, didn’t we always know it was going to be between Bey and Adele?

Among superhero movies, Spider-Man has produced among the best (Spider-Man 2) and worst (Spider-Man 3, Amazing Spider-Man 2) examples of the genre. So the three-boot of the franchise, Spider-Man: Homecoming, has to at the very least not suck like the Amazing movies, and at best, hopefully match o…

Ryan Gosling Talks Christmas Plans

During a Friday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Notebook star Ryan Gosling dished on Christmas plans with longtime love Eva Mendes and their daughters Esmeralda, 2, and Amada, 7 months.

“She’s a little over 2. Esmeralda is the oldest. Amada is 7 months,” the La La Land star, 36, said of his daughters.

“If you’d let me hang out with you I’d know their names and a little more about them,” DeGeneres, 58, quipped.

He replied, “I’m vetting you.”

It’ll be a very Merry Christmas for the Mendes-Gosling family.

“They must be excited for Christmas!” DeGeneres said.

“I think so,” Gosling said. “Es was a little too young last year, but this year I hope so. I don’t think she understands that she can ask for anything yet. It’s a real sweet spot. We can give her anything!”

Kaley Cuoco, 31, is one of the highest paid actresses on television (despite the fact that Big Bang Theory has an appalling wage gap for the other actresses). She makes one million an episode and is right behind Sofia Vergara in terms of earnings. She’s incredibly successful, is what I’m saying, and yet she remains quite foolish in love. It seems to be working out ok for her now, with her boyfriend of less than a year, equestrian Karl Cook, 25. They both love animals, they’re both avid horse riders, and Kaley will tell you all about it, and how crazy she is for Karl. So that’s why these new source quotes in E! sound straight from Kaley’s camp – they say she follows Karl around basically, and will go wherever he needs to go for his job as a competitive horseback rider.

Kaley Cuoco… is “in love, head over heels” with her boyfriend, a fellow equestrian, a source told E! News exclusively.

“They seem to be in a good spot right now. She is always traveling with him. It’s not as much her schedule but more so his. She never knows when she’s going to be in town because she goes whenever and wherever he goes,” the source said, adding, “She is super smitten.”

Cuoco and Cook were spotted Wednesday evening shopping at a Gucci store and then heading to the Villa Blanca restaurant in Beverly Hills for a romantic dinner date. They were seen holding hands as they sat at their table and seemed very happy together, another source told E! News exclusively.

Last Friday, two days after Cuoco celebrated her 31st birthday, the two were spotted dining at Craig’s Restaurant in West Hollywood.

[From E! Online]

Given all these photos of the two out together, they were papped twice in the past few days, I would say that Kaley is pushing for a holiday engagement. That is just her style and she’s made it clear that she wants to get married and have kids. She also told a story in this month’s Women’s Day about her cute meet with Karl. “I knocked into Karl—literally, we bumped arms at a horse show. And we each said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry’—and everything changed. I looked at him, and he looked at me…” I know people like this, who think they’re meant to be with their partner, who are always with them and who fawn over each other on social media. There’s this facade like everything is awesome but I’ve heard stories suggesting it’s pretty bad behind the scenes. I’m not saying Kaley and Karl are like this, I just see couples who are over-the-top and the skeptic in me wonders if they believe their own hype. Maybe both of them are into it, and that’s love to some people. Kaley has this pattern however – she did the same whirlwind thing with her ex-husband and that lasted less than two years. I hope this works out for them though!

Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were immortalised together in Hollywood the other day. When I posted about this yesterday, I wondered whether or not that was premature – and most of you agreed. Now though, is it up to them to live up to it or us to ask them to live up to it? Or both?
