Angelina Jolie is explaining why she took the role of Elise Clifton-Ward, the woman of mystery who captivates Johnny Depp in The Tourist, which opens this month. It’s because she plans things. “I was looking for a very short thing to do before Brad started filming [Moneyball],” she says. “And I said I needed something that shoots not too long, in a nice location for my family. Somebody said there’s a script that’s been around, and it shoots in Venice and Paris. Stepping out for a date night on the town, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were among the stars on hand for a private viewing of The Museum of Contemporary Art’s 30th anniversary exhibition in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The “Mr and Mrs Smith” co-star couple lovingly walked along side-by-side to check out the pieces, with Angelina decked out in Armani Prive while Brad sported a studly suit.

Getting ready for a flight out of town, Angelina Jolie and her son Maddox were spotted arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Tuesday (July 21).

The “Wanted” actress was dressed in all-black, hopping out of a chauffeured ride as she guided her young son into the terminal entrance.

The trip out of town comes amidst tabloid rumors that Brad purchased a bachelor pad in Big Sur, California as a personal getaway.

“Brad wanted a retreat there for years, ever since he and [ex-wife] Jennifer Aniston started visiting the area when they were married,” a source told the British tabloids.

“It’s a good time to buy, and I’m not just talking about the economy. The pressure he’s feeling now with Angelina is reason enough. Angie just doesn’t like Big Sur. It’s too quiet for her tastes. And the house is a tiny fixer-upper, so there’s no room for her and all the kids anyway,” the alleged insider adds.

Falling victim to thieves, Angelina Jolie’s wardrobe was ransacked for thousands of dollars worth of designer clothing, according to new reports.

Stolen from Los Angeles stylist Jennifer Rade’s home this past Thursday night, the “Wanted” actress reportedly was having the designer items held for her for future use during upcoming promotions.

“Every designer who was sending pieces was trying to send their best stuff,” a source told Page Six.

The insider added, “Angelina was just starting the fitting process for pieces to wear when she begins promoting [new movie] Salt.”

Tending to her motherly duties, Angelina Jolie took Shiloh and Zahara to a dance class in Studio City at a place called "The Princess Series" on Monday (July 6).

Holding each of her little girls’ hands, the "Wanted" actress walked back to her car in a parking garage below the dance studio before heading off on her way.
