Tom and Zac

Tom Cruise and Zac Efron, clicked the minute they met. Now, when Zac gets a script to consider, his first call is to Tom. Tom warned Zac to diversify and not get pigeon-holed in one type of role.

n addition to giving the High School Musical actor professional advice, Tom, who is married to Katie Holmes, advises his young friend in personal matters too.
The source explained to the National Enquirer: "Zac is extremely shrewd, but he considers Tom a personal and professional guru.
“Tom also warned Zac how to conduct himself in public."
The pair are enjoying their bonding sessions so much, they’re even considering working on a new movie together.
The source added: "They’ve even talked about teaming up on a film together — the way Tom did with Paul Newman in the 1986 film The Color of Money."

Back out for another family romp, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes took daughter Suri for a walk in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday (October 11).

Toting around a coffee drink, the former"Dawson’s Creek” damsel carried her little girl in her arms before setting her down and joining Tom in walking hand-in-hand around the east coast city.

Meanwhile, recent reports tell that TomKat recently enrolled Suri at the Catholic Charities Yawkey Center For Early Education And Learning.

“Katie has been listening to her parents who are devout Catholics,” a source said of the decision. “She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic – as she was.

“They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments is putting it mildly – but Tom came around to the idea in the end.”

Brad Pitt Trash Talks Tom Cruise’s “Valkyrie”

His highly-anticipated new film “Inglorious Basterds” hits theaters today, and Brad Pitt has a pretty high opining of the WWII flick.

When asked about another WWII movie “Valkyrie” during a recent interview, the “Fight Club” sneered, “It was a ridiculous movie.”

He went on to say that “Basterds” could be the end-all of WWII movies.  “Thesecond World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said.  The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story.”

Pitt also shared his own inspiration when it came to breaking out of his small town upbringing.  “When I was a teenager, I saw Saturday Night Fever at our drive-in, but it wasn’t the dancing that electrified me. It was the life and culture in Brooklyn. I’m from Missouri, the southern part of the Midwest in the U.S., and I never heard families talk that way to each other.  From that point on, I wanted out to see more of the country and of life.”

tom-cruiseHorny gossip spinster Liz Smith had unwittingly curried favor with Tom Cruise by appearing on an episode of Fox News Channel’s gossip-for-conservatives show Lips & Ears, in which she opined that misunderstood Nazis: Just The Nice Ones-vehicle Valkyrie should be “accepted in the same way World War II movies by Tom Hanks, Clint Eastwood and Francis Ford Coppola.” (The actor has a staff combing the airwaves 24-hours a day for Cruise-positive messages; both Smith and Lips & Ears have now been slid into the Allies column.) What followed was a candid chat with the actor on everything from his crumbling UA dominion, to his comedic turn as a Harvey Weinstein-type in Tropic Thunder, to his billion-year war bride Katie Holmes bruise-inducing preparations for her Broadway debut:

‘I LOVE Paula Wagner, but she wants to produce elsewhere and in her own venue, and I don’t intend to stand in her way. I’ll say this of her leaving United Artists – whatever Paula wants is what I want her to have! And I hope we’ll continue working together on future projects.”

So spoke Tom Cruise on the phone with me this week. He added, cryptically: “I don’t run United Artists; I just own it.”
