Elizabeth Hurley has been named as the goodwill ambassador for a children’s charity. The “Bedazzled” star will be helping raise awareness and funds of the charity throughout the year.Caudwell Charity provides equipment and treatment to sick and disabled children across the U.K. The charity has now raised more than $12 million and has helped thousands of children in need.

CEO Trudi Beselizabeth-hurleywick said that the actress, being a global film and fashion icon, will be influential in the continued growth of the organization.

Hurley, 43, said of her new role, “There are sick and disabled children living in the U.K. who may not be receiving the support they need. Caudwell Children is trying to make a difference and I’m happy to help.”
