It’s been 7 months since Chrissy Teigen gave birth to her adorable daughter Luna, but it seemed like mere weeks for her to get back her pre-baby body. She tried, I guess, to relate to us common folk by posting a photo of her stretch marks, but it was kind of like having a teeny dent in a Bentley. Showing off her model mom curves on Instagram and on the cover of Cosmo could lead to unrealistic aspirations about losing weight after giving birth, but Chrissy, who’s not afraid to pull back the curtain on celebrity, felt the need to clear things up.

In New York promoting Stella Artois’ “Host One for the Holidays” campaign, the 30-year-old model stopped by TODAY to talk about her almost incomprehensible rapid weight loss and ‘fessed up that she had more than a little help shedding the pounds.

“Anyone in the public eye, we have all the help we could ever need to be able to shed everything. So I think people get this jaded sensation that everybody’s losing it so quickly, but we just happen to be the ones who are out there.”

“We have nutritionists, we have dietitians, we have trainers, we have our own schedules, we have nannies. We have people who make it possible for us to get back into shape. But nobody should feel like that’s normal, or like that’s realistic.”

She also gushed about discovering what a great Dad her husband John Legend was with Luna, who she admitted was a “Daddy’s Girl.” The 7-month-old starlet even has a cameo along with her mama in John’s video for his single “Love Me Now.” She said, “Whatever this father-daughter relationship is, it starts so quickly because I thought they grew into being Daddy’s girls. No, it was the second she came out.”

Chrissy also used the interview to once again address her social media critics, who bothered her to the point that she made her Twitter account private. As she recounted to TODAY,

“I can see things coming a mile away. I know that when I post something, if she’s in a car seat, I’ve got to be ready for the million people telling me she’s in the car seat wrong, even though she’s in there correctly.”

“At this point, I know what they’re going to say before they say it. If I’m holding her while I’m cooking, or if I’m holding her within 10 feet of a stove top, I’ve kind of just come to expect it.”

I can, honestly, understand why she’s fed up with the Mom-shamers. She’s a good Mom, maybe a little too enthusiastic about Halloween costumes, but a good mother nonetheless. She definitely doesn’t deserve the hate.

Now, let’s talk about some really good news from Camp Chrissy, she’s currently working on a second cookbook! Her first one, Cravings, is a favorite of some of CB readers, if the comments are any indication, and if she features recipes like the one for spicy mussels she put together for the Stella Artois event in this new one, it’s sure to be a best-seller.
