Here are some photos of Taylor Swift out and about in New York yesterday. She was photographed leaving her gym during the day, then she went out to dinner with Lily Aldridge in the evening. Taylor wants you to know that she’s fine. She wants you to know that she controls this breakup narrative. Sources told The Sun – the same paper getting some surprising Snake Emoji exclusives – that Tay-Tay isn’t “losing sleep” over the Tiddlesplit, and “Taylor is in her mid-twenties and enjoys dating men. So what? She’ll carry on until one of them turns out to be the real deal. She’s not pressing any panic button yet.” Those will be the song titles: Losing Sleep, Panic Button, The Real Deal. Viral marketing.

As for the Tiddlesplit, there are still mixed reports about what actually went down between Tay-Tay and Tommy Hiddles. Us Weekly still seems to indicate that Taylor dumped Tom because he’s such a famewhore, but Taylor “feels a little embarrassed that the whole world saw them so serious and now it’s over.” Still, the source tells Us Weekly that “They could get back together when Tom is done filming and comes back to the States. It’s possible they will see each other and make it work. She had an amazing time with him.” My opinion: Us Weekly is getting their info from Team Swift (thus, their cover story) and Taylor trying to play it like “maybe we’ll get back together” is Classic Dumped. She did the same thing with Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry Styles too, tried to play it like she didn’t get dumped, and tried to stalk both of them into getting back with her. Remember when she went to London to follow Harry Styles around just after he dumped her? Remember when she stalked Jake at the VF Oscar party?

Speaking of Classic Dumped, sources now tell Heat Street/DM that yeah, Tom Hiddleston dumped Taylor. Because he was bored.

He was said to have been ‘humiliated’ after being dumped in the midst of their very public love affair. But now friends of Tom Hiddleston have come forward to claim it was in fact he who decided to give Taylor Swift the flick as he had grown ‘tired of her.’ Indeed the 35-year-old Thor star is said to be so fickle with women that he dumps them all with monotonous regularity, a development which led his associates christening the time frame as ‘the three month rule.’

A theatre producer who worked with the wannabe James Bond on Coriolanus told Heat Street: ‘The reports are wide of the mark and come as news to all Tom’s friends. He grew tired of Taylor, it wasn’t the other way round.’

Team Taylor had mooted the idea that she decided to get rid of Tom after he demanded she walk the Emmys red carpet with him, in what would appear to be a transparent attempt to boost his career. But the friend said: ‘Tom drifted from her and it had nothing to do with her being put off by the publicity. It’s more to do with the fact he’s a commitment-phobe who gets bored very easily.’

As if that was not enough, the footloose and fancy free star is supposedly noted by friends for a ‘three month rule’ which dictates when he gets sick of his latest romantic partner. His pal said: ‘Even his sisters affectionately chide him on his lack of relationship staying power.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Before Taylor Swift, no one really knew much about Tom’s love life, so I don’t know if the “three-month” thing is historically correct for him. It seems like Jane Arthy lingered for a lot longer than three months, and Tom and Elizabeth Olsen were bringing the covert drama for more than a year. Is it possible he was “bored” with Taylor? Sure. But getting dumped by guys after three months is sort of her M.O. as well.
