Miracles From Heaven star Jennifer Garner stepped out with her three children – daughters Violet, 10, and Seraphina, 7, and 4-year-old son Samuel – on Sunday (October 9). The actress and her kids were seen leaving church in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Last month, we spotted the Alias alum, 44, taking Sera to karate class.

The 13 Going on 30 star – who raises her kids with estranged husband Ben Affleck – recently dished on setting a good example for her children.

“I don’t think empathy is something you can drill in someone’s head,” Garner said. “You have to have faith that while your kids can seem to be selfish and concerned only about the word ‘mine’ sometimes, overall, they are watching you really carefully, and if you care about other people, they will too.”

She added: “I try to be the best version of myself and to have faith that they’re watching me as carefully when I do something right as they do when I roll through a stop sign.”

As well, Affleck recently talked about doing homework with the kids.

“I was doing math homework last night,” he said. “When I’m there, you’re stuck with your parents helping you with your homework. Jen’s very good at math [too]. So far, my eldest kid is in fifth grade and they haven’t passed me yet. But I feel like in seventh or eighth grade I’m going to start worrying that they’re going to lose me.”

He added: “It’s important to be involved with your kids’ schoolwork so you know what’s going on and what they’re doing and what you’re supposed to be supporting and going to school nights.”

The friendly exes continue to live together in their $17.5 million mansion, though they sleep in separate bedrooms.

After 10 years of marriage, Affleck, 44, and Garner announced their plans to split in June 2015.
