Well that was fast. Yesterday, I tucked a paragraph onto the end of a story about Amber Heard’s photog friend, who may have caused “problems” with Johnny Depp. I suggested that Johnny and Amber already had enough issues, and it was ridiculous to place blame upon Amber’s friendship with a fellow bisexual. I also discussed how Johnny had yet to return to the Pirates 5 set in Australia. He missed his private jet, and no one knew why. The film’s publicist said there was nothing amiss, but he didn’t know where Johnny was either.

The story grew all day at various outlets. A lot of the coverage was hyperbolic. I didn’t make a huge deal out of Johnny’s vapor trail because I figured he’d show up soon, like it was some misunderstanding. He’d flash a sheepish grin, and all would be forgiven. That’s exactly what happened a few hours ago. Johnny miraculously appeared in Australia. This tweet ^^^ from Brisbane News excitedly shouted Johnny’s arrival as “breaking news.” All is forgiven, until next time a chupacabra attacks. He’s even messier than usual and used a safety pin to close his shirt. No scarves. Oh, and Amber Heard is with him.

Producers must be relieved. I was starting to wonder if Jack Sparrow’s role would be a mere cameo in this film. Or maybe they’d have to CGI his face into the movie.

Yesterday afternoon, an interesting article surfaced in People. The mag claimed that Johnny and Amber “lead separate lives,” which seemed obvious. They’ve spent hardly any time together since marrying two months ago. Amber was filming The Danish Girl in London, and Johnny was busting up his hand in a go-cart. People said the problems weren’t “surprising … because they seemed to have a lot of relationship problems in the months leading up to the wedding. When the wedding finally happened in February, it had been postponed several times.” Johnny was also said to be “partying hard” in Australia, and “after he got injured, no one was surprised. He didn’t seem to care at all about filming and was all about partying.” I don’t doubt that there’s plenty of truth to this story. Johnny has issues with liquor for sure. He seems depressed over his career. But People yanked the story after Johnny surfaced.

I still think there are issues between these two, and they’ve decided to put on a show of solidarity. Johnny’s team probably contacted People and had the story pulled.

Well… I kind of didn’t expect this. Carey Mulligan covers the May issue of Vogue to promote Far From the Madding Crowd, her Broadway turn in Skylight, and this awards-season hopeful Suffragette. And with all that going on, it’s still sort of boring. Boring by design – Carey Mulligan is a very quiet, self-contained person and she’s not doing any of this for fame or fortune. She’s a “real actress.” Which is great, although Real Actresses don’t always make for the most interesting Vogue subjects. Vogue paired her – for the photoshoot – with her Madding Crowd costar Matthias Schoenaerts. He doesn’t liven it up that much. You can read the Vogue piece here, and here are some highlights:

Doing a Broadway show: “I’ve always felt better in New York, doing theater. I think because there’s no one I know in the audience—or I can believe that more comfortably than I can in London.”

She doesn’t want to be “known”: “I have always felt that the less people know about me, the better. The more similar you look job to job, the more they relate to you from your previous roles. That’s why I’ve done loads of really stupid things to my hair in the past to try to not look the same.”

She admires Marion Cotillard most of all: “She’s consistently incredible. She does really cool films and doesn’t engage with the stupid side of it. And she’s private—I don’t know anything about her, and I quite like that.”

Her goal as an actress: “Given the choice, I’d rather not play accessories. And waiting for the non-girlfriend/wife thing usually takes a decent amount of time.”

Carey is also asked about her husband Marcus Mumford and what their marriage is like and she managed to say some words that barely mean anything and something about “splitting time” and she confirms that Marcus is staying with her in NYC while she’s on Broadway. Basically, she could teach a class in “answering personal questions without revealing anything personal at all.” I love what she says about not “playing accessories” and she even admits that holding out for the great parts is sometimes tough, and that means not working for months at a time.

Here are some photos of Cara Delevingne at the Burberry London-in-LA event last Thursday. The event was pretty well attended, but I didn’t cover those photos because they were sort of snooze. Even Cara looked sort of boringly presentable. That’s her new thing – after more than a year of looking like an utter mess in public, Cara has been stepping out more and more looking pulled-together. Are her crazy, party days over? I doubt it. But I do think her new girlfriend, St. Vincent, is a better influence on her. St. Vincent was at this Burberry event too – go here to see a photo.

But! I have my doubts that Cara can stay on the straight-and-narrow path for any extended length of time. I really do think she’s a mess when it comes to drugs and alcohol, and her attempt to transition into movie stardom isn’t going to help matters. I mean, it’s not like the Hollywood types are saints and it’s only the evil fashion industry that encourages self-destructive behavior, right? If anything, I think if Cara continues to get work in Hollywood, the partying will get even worse. Which makes this story from Star Magazine sort of interesting:

British supermodel Cara Delevingne is trying to step off the catwalk and onto the big screen, but her habit of waking up next to a bottle could put her acting career in jeopardy.

“She sometimes drinks tequila as soon as she gets up and uses the excuse that she’s jet-lagged,” a friend tells Star. “Cara blames her crazy schedule for her love of alcohol – it’s really becoming a problem.”

But she’s in for a rude awakening, now that she’s settled in Toronto to film her first big franchise film, ‘Suicide Squad’ with Will Smith and Jared Leto.

“She won’t be able to use the time zones to justify her tequila-infused antics,” the source explains. “Shoots start early in the morning, and since she’s in the big leagues, she has to clean up her act or risk being labeled unreliable.”

Drinking tequila as soon as she wakes up? I believe it. I believe she probably does a lot more to get through the day too. This sort of story reminds me of what I believe is a very telling incident from Cara’s not-so-distant past (it was last summer). She met a Vogue reporter for a profile, then she fell asleep before the interview even took place, and when Vogue called her out for sleeping through her press obligations (after partying her ass off the night before), Cara threw a hissy fit and claimed Vogue was “lying” and she being punished for being “ambitious.” She’s a party girl that freaks out when anyone calls her out, so yeah… this won’t end well.

Almost a year ago exactly, Big Sean and Naya Rivera called off their engagement and the breakup got messy in a matter of hours. Naya seemed to claim that Big Sean had stolen jewelry from her, and there were widespread rumors that Sean was fooling around. Naya ended up marrying some guy within three months of the breakup, and Big Sean quickly moved on with little Ariana Grande. While I never thought Ariana and Big Sean would last, I have to admit that I was surprised to hear that they just split up too.

Big Sean and Ariana Grande have called it quits, PEOPLE can confirm.

“They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends,” the artists’ reps said in a joint statement. “We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time.”

The “Love Me Harder” songstress and the “I Don’t F— with You” rapper first went public with their romance at the 2014 MTV VMAs back in August. After they were spotted holding hands backstage at the award show, the couple didn’t make any attempts to hide their romance. They showed major PDA back in March when Big Sean, 26, joined Grande, 21, onstage during a tour stop in Detroit to perform “Big Mistake” together.

Grande is currently in the middle of her Honeymoon Tour, which is expected to last through Oct. 15. Big Sean, meanwhile, is busy with a tour of his own, which will last through Aug. 29.

E! News’ sources say that their “conflicting tour schedules” kept them apart and that there are no harsh feelings or bad vibes or anything. Translation: they didn’t break up because of cheating on either side. Maybe I’m out of the loop on Big Sean gossip, but I haven’t heard much about him fooling around on Ariana…? And Ariana… well, if Big Sean could put up with baby-diva for eight long months, he deserves some kind of medal.

Oh, and just last week, Justin Bieber sort of groped Ariana on stage during a duet and Big Sean either jokingly or for-real lost his temper about it. But TMZ says Bieber is NOT to blame. Hmm… Ariana and Bieber? I could see that.

The babymoon continues for Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey.

The Glee star, 28, shared an Instagram image Sunday during their tropical vacation. “Started the morning off with some couples meditation on the beach then a walk around paradise,” she captioned the photo.

On Saturday, the mom-to-be shared another bikini bump photo of herself in the water. “Baby moon,” she captioned the idyllic image.

Nearly two months after announcing their pregnancy news, the handsome pair are enjoying a getaway before their first child arrives.

Armie Hammer and his wife Elizabeth Chambers stepped out this weekend for the LACMA 50th anniversary gala. My first thought when I saw these pictures:

“Oh yeah, Armie Hammer.”

He was supposed to be a thing, wasn’t he?

He was supposed to be on the verge of a big career. And then he mad…      

During a Monday appearance on Good Morning America, Nashville star Hayden Panettiere opened up about the “out of body experience” of motherhood.

“As long as your kids are healthy and happy and all good, I mean, it’s fabulous,” she gushed of being mom to 4-month-old daughter Kaya. “It’s fabulous!”

Hayden went on to say that motherhood has “absolutely” changed her.

“You just re-prioritize… and you hear that they’re healthy and you don’t care about yourself anymore,” the actress, 25, said. “I mean, it’s the most out of body experience where you go, ‘I will completely lay myself on the line for my child,’ without even a hesitation.”

The actress-singer dished about motherhood on-screen as well.

“She’s trying to find herself,” she said of her Nashville character. “As you know, as a mother, you feel like you lose yourself for a second—which you should—and you’re giving yourself and dedicating yourself to another person, but she is terrified that that is going to disappear, that all the work she’s done throughout the years. That’s her identity!”

As for becoming a country music artist herself, Hayden said she would “love to.”

“My only hesitation was that people would not be able to differentiate between Juliette Barnes and myself,” she said of her character. “I feel like I want to dedicate myself to the role that I’m doing. So maybe down the road! Maybe down the road! Maybe down the road! But I’ve got to find myself. I’ve gotta find that route and what I want to be and tell the story, because that’s the greatest thing about country music is that it just has a through line of honesty. It’s telling a story no matter what you’re doing, even if you’re telling a story about partying, you know? It’s honest!”

First photo of the Timberbaby (posted on Justin’s account) has to kick off the week. I was sure it would be a PEOPLE exclusive, but I do like this. No fanfare and no Justin jumping up and down in the background. How did he manage to restrain himself? I guess his mom got to use the shine this time…

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman, 36, and her husband are expecting their first child. In a surprise announcement on Saturday (April 18) at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cleveland, the singer revealed her growing baby bump in a black mini maternity dress.

The pregnant singer took to the stage and performed in honor of the late Lou Reed.
