Johnny Depp and Amber Heard won’t last forever, although they may make it four years. That’s my official bet, so feel free to give other estimates in the comments. The whole relationship seems to be an overcompensation to stick together. Amber took Johnny’s last name and finally publicly gushed over him to make him believe she’s in it for good. Johnny seems to use his wallet to make Amber happy and prove that he’s also in it for the long haul.

Star says Johnny’s starting to worry about money because his career is swirling down the drain, so he has to do as many Pirates movies as possible. Scarfy spends a fortune maintaining his silly private island, and he paid Vanessa a reported $150 million when they split. Now Amber is blowing through cash on shopping trips, and Johnny’s freaking out. Sound true?

There’s a good reason why Johnny Depp agreed to another Pirates of the Caribbean movie — he needs the cash! In the wake of a costly split from Vanessa Paradis, plus a string of box-office flops, Johnny can’t afford to pass up a paycheck. “It’s rumored that he gave Vanessa $150 million and he’s panicking about his bank account,” an insider reveals.

And his new bride, Amber Heard, doesn’t come cheap, either. “He’s spending a fortune on Amber to keep her happy,” adds the source, citing a lavish wedding and their private Bahamas island that costs $1 million a year just in upkeep. Hoping to take the pressure off, Johnny recently listed his 37-acre French estate for $26 million but is facing mounting legal bills over Amber’s dog-smuggling charges in Australia — she’s due to appear in a Queensland court on Sept. 7 and if found guilty, could face 10 years in prison!

“Legal fees aside, his lifestyle costs a fortune. Their entire relationship consists of him spoiling her,” says the friend. “Amber can easily blow through her designated monthly allowance — rumored to be $25,000 — and he won’t say a word because he’s afraid of losing her.”

Oh yeah, and Johnny will definitely end up footing Amber’s legal costs in Australia because she’s the only one being charged in Terriergate. That mess is Johnny’s fault too, and Amber’s taking the fall! He should pay those legal bills. As for all the other stuff, of course Scarfy can’t say no to his lady. Amber knows this. She’s not brilliant, but she’s savvy. And I have to say, “Get it, girl.”
