In a new Instagram image, Jessica Simpson shared some happy news.

The singer-entrepreneur, 34, has been named godmother to CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison‘s newborn daughter. “Madly in love with my Goddaughter Wilder Frances Faison!!! I am beyond proud of @caceecobb and @donald_aison,” she captioned the image holding the beautiful baby girl.

Just hours earlier, Cobb – Simpson’s former assistant and BFF – announced her daughter’s birth.

“Meet the newest love of our life, Wilder Frances Faison. #babygirl,” she captioned a shot of her baby girl. The couple are also parents to 20-month-old son Rocco.

Faison’s best friend, former Scrubs costar Zach Braff, also congratulated the couple via Instagram. “Baby,” he captioned the cute kissing photo.

In another bare baby bump photo, an expectant Jaime King shared a snapshot of her growing belly via Instagram Saturday.

“For my long lasting loves Francisco Costa, Michael Giugliano and all at Calvin Klein. #MyCalvins I am proud to be a part of the family for so long!,” the Hart of Dixie star captioned the image.

Earlier this month, the actress shared a shot of her babe baby bump while donning a bikini.

In celebration of her 36th birthday on April 23, the expectant mama posted a photo with son James, 18 months.

“Thank you @therealsarahhyland for this photo and for my friends who surprised me yesterday with a lil sweet surprise gathering when I wasn’t feeling so well – I am so lucky to have your loving care,” she wrote.

The Sin City: A Dame to Kill For star and her husband, film director Kyle Newman, are expecting their second child together.

What a lil’ cutie!

Actress Thandie Newton stepped out with son Booker, 13 months, in New York City on Friday (April 24). The Pursuit of Happyness star, 42, went casual chic in a lion print tee, jeans and a colorful cardigan. Meanwhile, her adorable tot rocked a cozy gray top, striped pants and a winter hat during the afternoon outing.

The For Colored Girls actress – who is also mom to daughters Ripley, 14, and Nico, 10 – delivered all three of her children via home birth, assisted by midwives.

The Crash actress is in the Big Apple for the Women in the World Summit, which brings together female leaders to share empowering stories.

Thandie spoke at The Beautiful Brain event on Friday morning, joining bloggers and psychologists to discuss how all women and girls can use the latest research to boost their self-esteem.

The mom-of-three Instagrammed some photos from the NYC event.

A-lister couple Fergie and Josh Duhamel enjoyed a park playdate with son Axl, 19 months, in Brentwood, Calif. on Friday (April 24). The pop superstar, 40, and the Battle Creek actor, 42, took turns toting their tot after the fun outing.

The couple’s only child looked adorable in jeans, a baseball cap and his signature bandana. Mom and dad also kept it casual in jeans and tees. Not to mention, Fergie’s fabulous fanny pack!

On Thursday, the Grammy Award-winning singer shared a sweet snapshot of their dapper son rocking an Armani suit and bunny ears.

Josh has been busy filming the upcoming thriller, Beyond Deceit.

Meanwhile, Fergie is working on her second studio album, tentatively scheduled for a 2015 release. The first single off of that collection, L.A. LOVE (La La), was released back in Sept. 2014.

New mom-of-four Kimora Lee Simmons introduced her son Wolfe via Instagram Friday.

“#WolfeLee is finally here!,” the model-entrepreneur shared. “After an all natural, intimate, beautiful, long birth! He’s everything we thought he would be and MORE! I am so grateful to my amazing husband for all of his support and love through it all. He never left my side! It wasn’t easy, but we did it!”

The reality star went on to talk about her natural birth.

“Thank you also to my special “nurse Maureen” and team that helped get this 11 pounder OUT of me! #Whoa #Wolfe #BabyWolfe #NaturalBirth #SkinToSkin #MotherOfFour,” she captioned the image with her sweet son.

Although she’s already given birth three times, Wolfe’s delivery was the most challenging delivery yet.

“My fourth delivery was definitely the most challenging — all natural and with no drugs!” the mommy mogul, tells PEOPLE. “It really shows that moms-to-be have the power to deliver any way they choose. Choice is what’s most important for women — across the board.”

The reality star — also mom to daughters Ming, 15, and Aoki, 12, with Russell Simmons, as well as 5½-year-old son Kenzo with Djimon Hounsou — welcomed Wolfe with husband Tim Leissner.

“Wolfe was a big boy! Handsome just like his father,” says Simmons. “[Wolfe was] 11 lbs. — a lot of work. But a labor of love! We’re all so happy he’s here.”

Bruce Jenner’s two-hour 20/20 special with Diane Sawyer aired last night, and I think we have to give it to Bruce: that was a really great, informative, emotional and powerful way to announce to the world that he is a transgender woman. Before we get started, GLAAD issued a helpful tip sheet on gender pronouns and names, which we will be following for the time being, until Bruce identifies otherwise. GLAAD says we should refer to Bruce as “Bruce,” considering he hasn’t identified any other name he would like to be called. They say that using male pronouns for the time being is appropriate because “Bruce Jenner has not indicated that a new name or pronoun should be used, so please respect his wishes and refer to Bruce Jenner by his current name and with male pronouns until such time as he requests something different.” Now, for the interview. Some highlights:

Bruce says that he’s felt like he was a woman living in a man’s body for as long as he can remember. He used to wear his sister’s clothes as a kid, and as an adult, he wore women’s clothes off-and-on throughout the years. He tries to explain by saying that God “gave him the soul of a female.”

Right now, he calls his gender identity Her and She, and he often referred to “Bruce” in the third person, just like he referred to Her and She in the third person. As in, “Bruce lives a lie. She is not a lie. I can’t do it anymore.” I don’t really know how to explain it other than he’s still transitioning and the pronouns and public identity are still in flux.

Bruce identifies sexually as straight, as in he’s loved and been sexually attracted to women all his life. When Sawyer pointed out that he’s a transgender woman who likes women and whether that makes him a lesbian, Bruce really didn’t know how to answer.

Bruce was on the path to transition in the 1980s, before he even got with Kris Jenner and after his second marriage failed. He was even in therapy and on estrogen treatments.

He is currently on estrogen treatments and has been for more than a year. He’s also confirmed that he’s been undergoing various plastic surgery procedures but has not undergone gender reassignment surgery. Sawyer asked Bruce point-blank about GRS and he basically said that he wasn’t sure if and when he would do it but that if he did it, he would do it quietly and without media fanfare.

Sawyer asked Bruce about his thoughts on Pres. Obama being the first president to ever say the word “transgender” in a State of the Union speech. Bruce was sort of like “meh” because – AND HERE IS THE MOST SHOCKING PART OF THE INTERVIEW – Bruce is a Republican. At first he said he was “conservative” and when Sawyer asked if he identifies as a Republican, Bruce said “Yeah. Is that a bad thing? Neither political party has a monopoly on understanding.” He also said he would totally speak to GOP politicians about Transgender identity and the need for more legal protections and rights for transgender people.

Apparently, Kris Jenner knew about a lot of this a long time ago. What was interesting to me was that Bruce made it sound like he was very happy being married to Kris and that they would still be married if she was more accepting of his transgender identity.

Bruce is not doing this for attention or a reality show storyline. He’s just not.

Bruce contemplated suicide last year, after the stories about his laryngeal shave made headlines and the paparazzi started stalking and harassing him. He said: “That night, I thought, ‘It’s over.’ I was in this walking up and down this hall back and forth all night long. Heart pounding. I thought, ‘Wouldn’t the easiest thing to do right now is go in the other room, get a gun. Pain is over. Done. Go to a better place.’ Then I thought, ‘I can’t do something like that. I want to know how this story ends.’ “

There was a lot of information about Bruce telling his kids and what their reactions were. It sounds like his older kids, his sons, had an easier time accepting it. Bruce said that the first kid he ever told was Kim Kardashian and that for the longest time, she didn’t want to talk about it with him, but she’s come around (more about that in a second). What surprised me was that Bruce said the kid having the hardest time is… Khloe. Khloe and Bruce have always had a special bond, and I got the feeling that Bruce was hurt that Khloe didn’t accept his identity immediately. But Bruce acknowledges that it’s a process that takes time, and all of the kids have come around or are coming around.

Bruce says that Kim finally came around because she and Kanye West were talking about Bruce’s transgender identity and Kanye made her understand what Bruce was going through in a surprisingly beautiful way. This is how Bruce explained it: “Kim told me a story. She goes, ‘You know what really turned me around? I’m thinking about this.’ And I said, ‘What?’ She goes, ‘Kanye.’ They were talking about it and he says to Kim, ‘Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the room, I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me. If I can’t be true to myself, they don’t mean anything.’ From Kanye, yeah. And since then, Kimberly has by far been the most accepting and the easiest to talk to about it.”

Anyway, I could keep writing and writing about this. I really have to applaud Diane Sawyer, ABC and 20/20 for the way they handled this interview and the way they packaged Bruce’s personal story with a larger story about transgender issues, including the increased suicide rates of transgender people, the violence they face and the legal protections that just aren’t there. Bruce deserves a lot of credit for choosing to discuss all of this publicly and becoming a public face of transgender advocacy.

On Friday, Angelina Jolie appeared before the United Nations Security Council in her capacity as Special Envoy of the High Commission on Refugees. She ended up scolding the Security Council for their utter inaction on Syria, and their refusal to acknowledge or do anything for the millions of Syrian refugees fleeing their country. The numbers are min-boggling: the UN estimates that 3.8 million refugees have left Syria and more than 7 million Syrians have been displaced in the past four years. She didn’t call out specific countries – namely, Russia – but did note that some members of the Security Council refused to impose sanctions and embargos on Syria, moves that could possibly halt at least some of the Syrian diaspora. She also slams the “lack of political will” to deal with the crisis. Here’s part of her testimony:

And she’s right to be pissed off and frustrated – this is one of the largest humanitarian crises of the past 50 years and no one is really doing anything about it.

After her appearance at the UN, Jolie spoke at the Women of the World Summit, speaking about the sexual violence facing so many female refugees in Iraq and Syria. She said: “Who among us would have thought we would see, in Iraq and Syria, images of women in cages, sold into sex slavery? Crimes against women are still treated as secondary issues.” She was the closing speaker – here is her speech:

The View alum Lisa Ling is set to return to CNN’s This is Life, where she takes viewers on a gritty, breathtaking tour of the U.S.

The Our America star, 41, opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about the joys of motherhood, her 2-year-old daughter Jett who “speaks three languages,” and some of her must-have baby items.

The proud mom gave us an update on her growing girl.

“She is a a big girl now,” says Lisa of her toddler. “She just turned two — she’s talking now and speaks three languages.”

The TV personality is simply amazed by her tot’s developments.

“Jett is so smart it’s scary,” Lisa shares. “She loves books.”

As for motherhood, it sounds like Jett has inspired her mom’s career development.

“I have always focused on girl empowerment, but now I really focus on topics I can be a voice for that help the equality of women,” Lisa says.

We couldn’t help but ask about her favorite, must-have baby items.

“I’ve had so many favorite products — for sure Freshly Picked Mocs and Butterfly London Products,” she shares. “Some of my favorite brands when she was an infant was magic sleep suit.

In terms of her best advice for new moms, Lisa says, “Just take your time and enjoy every moment.”

Single mom Hilary Duff covers the May issue of SHAPE and dishes on Hollywood’s unrealistic beauty standards, her role on Younger, and her 3-year-old son Luca.

On Hollywood’s obsession with post-baby bodies: “There’s so much pressure to always have it together, and I’m not falling for it. You see supermodels who have babies, and the next week they look as if they were never pregnant. That was not the case with me. Some days I feel great, others I feel pretty normal, and that’s acceptable.”

On why she’s loving her new role on Younger: “I embrace the mess. I had to be careful not to screw up in public as a child actor. So on my new show, Younger—which is written by Darren Star, who created Sex and the City—it’s really fun for me to play Kelsey, a 27-year-old book editor whose personal life is a hot mess. She always chooses the wrong guy, drinks way too much, and has to cover for herself the next morning.”

On her workout philosophy: “I don’t do auto-gym. I go three times a week and mix it up every time. I work out with weighted balls, battle ropes, and big rubber bands. I do this thing with a sledge-hammer where I swing it and hit a rubber block, and it get out all of my aggressions. Everyone is like, ‘Uh-oh, Hilary’s got the hammer—get out of the way! And I rely on real-life exercise. Carrying my son, for one. He weighs 35 pounds. The other day we went to Disneyland and he fell asleep in my arms, and I had to carry him back to my car, which was a 30-minute walk. I was dying.”

On her guilty pleasure: “The key to a happy life is cheese. It’s a real problem. I can’t say no to it! There’s a cheese shop in Beverly Hills, and my car is like a magnet to it. Luca is crazy about it, too. Love the cheese!”
