Congratulations to Sarah Shahi and Steve Howey.

The Person of Interest actress, 35, and her Shameless actor husband, 37, welcomed twins – daughter Violet Moon and son Knox Blue – on Sunday, March 1, at their Los Angeles-based home, E! News reports.

The twins join 5½-year-old big brother William Wolf.

The actress has opened up about delivering her first child via water birth.

“[He] came out into a tub of water and then my husband brought him up for air,” she shared. “I never thought I would be one of those wacky chicks who say, ‘I loved my labor,’ but I loved every part of it. It was the best day of my life.”

Shahi is on maternity leave from Person of Interest, but is expected to return when her schedule permits. In January, she announced her exciting news, and noted that family always comes first.

“When you become a parent, that task takes priority over everything,” she said about leaving her hit show for awhile. “It would be impossible for me. At the end of the day, nothing is more important than the health and the comfort of my children, and when you say it like that, it’s almost like, well, it’s a no-brainer.”

That said, she has missed portraying her “dynamic” character Shaw.

“But I’ve so enjoyed this character,” she shared. “She’s so dynamic. I get to pretend to be a superhero every week on TV, so that’s definitely the bitter part of the ‘bittersweet.’ ”
