A post shared by Jennifer Aniston (@jenniferaniston) on Oct 15, 2019 at 6:03am PDT

After complaining about social media, Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram and immediately got more than a million likes with her Friends reunion ‘gram. [Seriously OMG]

There’s been a very strange vibe around the Queen for months. That’s how it’s felt to me. It started with QEII’s smiling car ride with Prince Andrew just hours after Jeffrey Epstein’s mysterious “suicide” in jail and the weirdness continued through the Boris Johnson/prorogation shenanigans. #AbolishtheMonarchy trended on Twitter for a while and… the Queen continued to do the most to protect Prince Andrew throughout the summer. Once again, this is from the outside looking in, but there definitely seems to be a VIBE around the Queen. And that vibe isn’t particularly pleasant or warm. Even the New York Times said that her speech at Parliament was overshadowed by looming Brexit drama.

These are photos of the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall today at Westminster Abbey. They were marking the 750th anniversary of the church. It’s been a while since Camilla and Queen Liz did an event with just the two of them, right? No buffer – no Charles, no Meghan, no Kate. Reportedly, Camilla gets along well with the Queen – they talk about horses, grandkids and dogs. Camilla knows protocol too – she walked behind the Queen the whole time. The Queen’s coat is so ugly! And look at those garish buttons. You can get away with wearing ugly, dated, buttony coats when you’re 93 years old though. Kate wants to wear this though!

PS… it’s also a little bit funny to me to think of all of the “Future Queen Kate” hype and here’s Camilla, the actual future Queen Consort and I think she would just rather be in the country with her dogs.

El Camino on Netflix is absolutely wonderful and perfect. I’m not going to give any spoilers except to say that it’s so much better than I expected, the plot is incredible and Aaron Paul gives a superb Oscar-caliber performance. He plays a character finding his own strength after suffering extreme PTSD. If you haven’t seen The Path on Hulu, he’s excellent in that too, and it also stars Hugh Dancy and Michelle Monaghan. Aaron has an interview with Vulture where he talks about his career post-Breaking Bad. He suffered some disappointments but realized that he just didn’t find his stride yet. He’s now completely ok with doing television and streaming series and he has a great life with his wife of six years, Lauren Parsekian, and their daughter Story, who turns in February.

On his character, Jesse Pinkman
I couldn’t be more opposite of that guy, other than the fact that I wear my heart on my sleeve. I don’t bury anything. He was real to me. I loved Jesse. I cared for him. I wanted him to be okay. It sounds odd, but I lived and breathed every moment of his life. I know him so well it feels like these things happened to me, in a way.

On The Path, which was canceled last year
I love everyone on that show. But story-wise, I don’t know if we knew the direction it was going.

On how his career faltered after BB
I was so spoiled at the height of Breaking Bad. I was being offered everything. You do one commercial film that’s not the success they think it’s going to be, and you’re damned.

He fired his manager after he got convinced not to do a big hib movie
There were some big thorns in my side that I had to let go. My wife knew all of this was going on, so when I told her what Vince wanted to do, she threw her arms around me. She knew it was an opportunity for me to spread my wings again.

On doing TV and streaming instead of films
I can’t live with that pressure on me, nor will I. I’m happy.

[From Vulture]

Aaron’s big breakout after BB ended in 2013 (I can’t believe it’s been that long) was supposed to be 2014?s Need for Speed. That film didn’t do that well and neither did Exodus: Gods and Kings. It’s really his moment now though, because he lives and breathes this character and his performance is heartbreaking. El Camino had a brief theatrical release, but it’s not eligible for an Academy Awards nominations as it was only out for a weekend unfortunately. A film has to be out for a week to be Oscar-eligible. Aaron should at least get another Emmy for this. (He already has three for Breaking Bad.) I would love to see him have a career in prestige films because he is absolutely mesmerizing on screen. Jesse Plemons was really good in this too I should mention, as is the late great Robert Forster.

Oh and these two are still hilarious and awesome:

I am heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of my dear friend Robert Forster. My god. I had the privilege of knowing this beautiful man and working along side of him. A true gentleman that loved to act. I love you my friend. Thank you for loving me back. You are and always will be a legend. ?

A celebrity joining Instagram is only newsworthy if the celebrity is a celebrity you weren’t expecting to join Instagram. Jennifer Aniston has said multiple times in the past that she didn’t want to be on social media because she wanted to keep something of herself to herself. But The Morning Show i…

Here are photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge heading to a formal dinner at the National Monument in Islamabad, Pakistan this evening (Pakistan-time). This was their third costume change of the day! And William was the one who decided to honor the host nation by wearing more traditional clothing – William wore a sherwani by Naushemian. He looks nice, actually. It’s great to see him in something different and that color is great on him.

Kate wore Jenny Packham – a conservative, covered-up look in a deep emerald color. Green is the color of Pakistan, so that was how she honored the country, plus it looks like Packham did a built-in scarf on the shoulder to make this look more Pakistani-influenced. I’m trying to grab a few close-ups because I think the details are being missed in the wider shots – there’s a real design to the sequins/beading on the dress. My only complaint here is that I would have liked to see her hair completely up. Her chandelier earrings are from Onitaa, a Pakistani jewelry company/designer.

I’ve seen the conversation in the comment section about what is and is not cultural appropriation. My Indian dad always told me he loved to see Western women wearing traditional Indian designs because, in his mind, those designs were the most beautiful garments in the world and they should be shared. I don’t even think there’s that fine a line – garments like the sherwani and kurta and shalwar kameez are not specifically religious garments which should never be worn by outsiders. They’re cultural and national fashion, to be embraced by anyone and everyone. That’s my take.

Also: the Cambridges arrived by rickshaw. Which is sort of cool and was likely arranged through negotiations with the British embassy and the Pakistani protocol people, it’s not like Will and Kate just hopped on a rickshaw out of nowhere.

Ok this is a terrible angle but thought you guys would like to know that yea, I stop into @supercuts every once in awhile. Y que?! ?

A post shared by Eva Mendes (@evamendes) on Oct 14, 2019 at 12:45pm PDT

Eva Mendes’ celebrity brand is not about luxury, exclusivity or elitism. That makes her pretty rare in celebrity circles. She designs a mass market line for New York & Co., found in every mall in every state. She was under contract with Pantene, sold at every grocery store and CVS and Walgreens everywhere. She has a drugstore makeup line called Circa too. And finally, she’s not all about going to the fanciest hair salon in LA. Eva stopped by a SuperCuts yesterday and documented it on Instagram. People were praising her for being frugal and “real.”

So, confession time… I’m not one of those women with a professional hair stylist on retainer or anything. I don’t have one person I trust with my hair. I used to get friends to cut my hair or I cut it myself because that’s how little I cared about it. But a few years ago, I realized how cheap I was being so I started to go to one of these chain haircut places. I spend about $17 every eight weeks or so for a cut and that’s it. Sometimes the cut is good – a few months ago I got a cut which made my hair look like Christine Baranski’s, but it grew out GREAT. I’ve had some bad cuts, but honestly… I prefer the cheap places because you know what you’re getting and I never expect some life-altering cut anyway. So where’s MY praise for keeping it real?? I dye my hair myself too and it looks… okay. Maybe I am being too cheap.

Ronan Farrow’s book Catch and Kill has been making headlines for the past two weeks. The book is about Farrow’s years-long investigation into Harvey Weinstein and how NBC shut down the story while Farrow worked there, which is how his Weinstein series ended up being published by The New Yorker. So, in addition to all of the information about Harvey Weinstein, Catch and Kill deals a lot with the toxic culture of NBC and how they were killing stories about predators while allowing Matt Lauer to harass and assault NBC employees. There’s a lot of insider-y sh-t but in general, I believe Ronan Farrow and I believe the atmosphere in and around NBC was probably the f–king worst. In the middle of all of that, there was this weird little story too: Gwen Stefani is pro-vaccine but she didn’t want people to know she was pro-vaccine?

MSNBC president Phil Griffin tried to pressure journalist Ronan Farrow into editing an interview with singer Gwen Stefani to tone down comments she made about vaccines, his new book alleges. Farrow spoke to the No Doubt frontwoman at the Global Citizen Festival in 2014 regarding the festival’s goal to promote vaccination amid the growing anti-vaxxer movement, according to the journalist’s new book “Catch and Kill.”

“I asked Gwen Stefani if she vaccinated her kids, and how she felt about anti-vaxxers,” he wrote. “She said she supported vaccines and advised people to talk to their doctors.”

But while editing the segment, he received a call from a producer at MSNBC, which aired the festival, claiming that Stefani’s camp reviewed the transcript and requested edits. Farrow — who demanded to know who leaked his transcript — refused to make the changes, which led to a meeting with Griffin, according to the book.

“It’s a puff piece! Come on. What the f—k?” Griffin allegedly grumbled. Farrow claimed that Griffin went on to insist that No Doubt would sever ties with the charity festival. “You know what happens if we don’t make these edits?” Griffin said. “Stefani’s threatening to pull out! That’s straight from her manager.”

Farrow said he eventually relented and aired a 5-minute clip of small talk with the singer. It wasn’t clear why Stefani’s team allegedly wanted the comments cut.

[From Page Six]

There’s no record of Gwen Stefani ever being an anti-Vaxxer or having anti-Vaxx sympathies. And by 2014, the anti-Vaxx movement had largely been discredited, so it wasn’t like Gwen would have been the sole voice out there saying “vaccinate your children.” So… did Gwen really demand the edit, or was it some weird corporate thing which ended up being blamed on Gwen? Did NBC decide to get into bed with anti-Vaxxers and Gwen was the fall guy? I have no idea. But it’s a really weird story.
