During the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s somber event yesterday, they took a moment to work a rope line. Considering the occasion was a sort of memorial tribute service to people who perished in a helicopter crash, I would have thought that regular people would maybe try to avoid upbeat questions about William and Kate’s kids, but apparently I’m terribly gauche. So Kate did end up talking about her kids, and Meghan and Harry’s Royal Polo Baby too.

When asked how her kids were doing: Kate told one fan, “They are great, thank you. They’re getting excited for Christmas time, because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and the Christmas trees are going up. And Louis’ getting bigger, I can’t believe he’s like seven months, he’s getting to be a big boy.”

The Cambridge kids have a nickname for William: Season ticket holder Fiona Sturgess told reporters, “Kate said that William was playing football with the children last night and one of them said, I think it was George, ‘Are you playing football tomorrow, Pops?’ “

Whether she’s excited about Harry & Meghan’s baby: “Absolutely! It’s such a special time to have little kiddies. And a cousin for George and Charlotte, as well, and Louis. It’ll be really special.”

[From People Magazine]

“Pops” as a nickname for William seems very… Leave It To Beaver. Like, Prince Lou is going to call William “Daddy-O” next. I think Harry and William grew up calling Charles “papa” and “pa.” I called my father “dad” or “daddy” (when I was little!), but again, I’m impossibly peasanty. I guess it’s the posh thing to do, to avoid calling one’s father “dad.”

As for what Kate says about the Royal Polo Baby… the Cambridge kids will have a Sussex cousin, and of course it’s exciting. I don’t know, what else is she going to say? Oh, and I really do think Prince Lou is going to be a GIANT.

Here’s the video of Kate talking to people about the babies. I guess this is the only video, and the person didn’t want to shove the phone into Kate’s face, so the camera just stays on… Kate’s boob. It’s actually hilarious, like Kate’s boob is super-excited about Christmas.

Kathryn Hahn was at the Gotham Awards earlier this week when she did an interview with US Magazine. She told them that she has a dog who eats her kids’ clothing so much that he’s had to get three surgeries to remove their underwear from his stomach. That’s crazy! Kathryn, 45, has a 12 year-old son, Leonard, and a nine year-old daughter, Mae, with her husband of 16 years, actor Ethan Sandler.

“I got my [children] a rescue dog named Banjo and they just love him so much,” Hahn, 45, dished to Us at the Gotham Awards in New York City on Monday, November 26.

“He has given us a lot of joy… Even though he’s had three abdominal surgeries so far from eating their underwear.”

Hahn… opened up about her family life in an interview with Parade last month.

“I live a pretty normal life. I have cute kids and a hubby forever and two dogs and a rabbit and now a hamster. We’re turning into animal hoarders,” she told the publication in October. “So I have this rich and creative life but also a normal life, and I’ve been able to keep the two separate and holy.”

[From US Magazine]

This makes me wonder what kind of breed Banjo is. I didn’t realize that dogs would eat clothing until my aunt’s pug had to have surgery after eating a sock. It must be so hard to keep small items of clothing away from dogs who will regularly eat them! You would have to put gates on the laundry room, make sure your kids aren’t leaving their underwear on the bathroom floor and secure the hampers. One of my friend’s cocker spaniels ate medication I left out on the nightstand at her house. I felt awful and we had to take the dog to the vet ER but I had no idea it would do that. I’ve also heard of dogs eating sanitary products too. Honestly I really want a dog but I’m curing myself of this by following so many adorable dogs on Instagram. They get sick, they make a mess in the house and they’re like kids except you can leave them alone for longer (and take your chances). Plus the vet bills really add up.

I was so happy to see this cover story on Michael Bublé and to learn his five-year-old son, Noah’s, cancer was in remission. I misread a headline last week that I thought said the opposite so thank goodness I was wrong. Two years ago, Noah was diagnosed. At the time, Michael told his fans he would be taking a break to focus on Noah’s treatment and understandably cancelled some obligations. Having gone through this experience and thinking he might lose his child has forever changed Michael. Now he says he simply will not “sweat the small stuff.”

After overcoming one of the most difficult times of his life, Michael Bublé is a changed man.

“Listen, I am different,” the Grammy winner, whose 5-year-old son Noah is in remission from liver cancer after a devastating diagnosis two years ago, tells PEOPLE exclusively in its latest cover story. “You don’t go through big things in your life, dramatic things like I’ve gone through or my wife has gone through without it having an effect on you.”

Two years ago, just three minutes before he was set to perform in London, Bublé received a shocking text from his wife, Argentinean actress Luisana Lopilato, 31, that shook him to his core: his firstborn son, then just 3 years old, was facing cancer.

Immediately putting their lives and careers on hold, the Vancouver-based couple moved to California and stayed by Noah’s bedside for the next seven months as he received life-saving care, including chemotherapy.

“Everyone understood in my world what my priority was,” says Bublé, 43, who is fiercely protective of his son’s privacy and declines to elaborate on the details of Noah’s treatment. “We all go through things. You just hope you learn something about yourself and you learn something about the people with you.”

“I don’t think I feel very nervous for anything anymore,” he says about seeing the bigger picture. “The perspective that I have on life now allows me to understand that I don’t have to sweat the small stuff. I want there to be a purity, and I want there to be a focus on relationships and kindness. I’m spending my time doing things I love and with people I love, for people I love.”

[From People]

I’d not heard the story about how he received the news. Can you imagine? How was he even able to perform after that? I can’t even imagine the toll that would take on a person. Of course your entire outlook would change. In addition to leaning on each other, Michael and Luisana’s extended families relocated to LA to support them. Michael said they were, “who we thought they were.” Maybe it’s PMS, but that comment choked me up. I can only wish someone would say that of me one day (you know, in the good way).

Good news – although he didn’t actually know if he would return to music, Michael is! He has a new album, Love and will go on tour in February.

I’m sure Michael and Luisana are grateful they have the resources to scale back their schedules to spend time with their kids. In light of their good news, let’s remember those who don’t have the same means. If you are looking for somewhere to donate this holiday season, consider some of the children’s’ hospitals that don’t charge the families like St. Jude’s Research Hospital, which has an even better history than most know about. Or the Ronald McDonald House that provides lodging at little to no cost to out of town families while their child receives treatment (both have good Charity Navigator scores). Or maybe your community has one of their own. For me, that’s Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

7th Annual Breakthrough Prize – the 'Oscars of Science'

Rachel McAdams is really, really good at staying undercover. No one even knew she was pregnant until she was about eight months along. She gave birth and nothing was ever formally announced. At some point, we got a secondhand confirmation that she welcomed a son, and we still don’t know that child’s name. Rachel likes it that way. Rachel is currently promoting Disobedience, and she chatted with the Sunday Times Magazine about motherhood and such. These are her first ever comments about her son.

Becoming a mom: “It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down. [People say] your life is not your own any more, but I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person. I waited a long time [for motherhood]. It’s just how it happened. And I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.”

She wants to keep her son’s life private: “I want to keep his life private, even if mine isn’t. But I’m having more fun being a mum than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me. Even the tough days — there’s something delightful about them.”

Motherhood is chaos: “I have clothes on and that’s a good thing. I don’t even know what I’m wearing today. The shoes are held together with glue. Isn’t that sad? I need to get a life.”

What drew her to her partner/baby-daddy Jamie Linden: She told the Times she “just wanted to be with someone creative… we live such a gypsy life as actors, so [it’s great] being with someone who can be on the road as well.”

Whether she’ll have more kids: “I think there is definitely room for more.”

[From Page Six and Us Weekly]

She did wait a long tie for motherhood, and I used to wonder why she didn’t have a baby with some of her other boyfriends, especially Ryan Gosling. I was never a die-hard McGosling stan or anything, but in retrospect, don’t you still wonder why they didn’t have a baby? They were together for years (off and on). Maybe the timing wasn’t right for both of them, which is what she says: “I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.” She waited until it was the right time for her. Which… I think a lot of women are scared to do. They feel their biological clock ticking, or they get scared by whatever dire fertility study says this week, and they feel like they should just have a baby ASAP, before they’re ready financially and psychologically.

I can’t really get the pulse on how people here feel about Mary Poppins Returns. It’s got Disney PR behind it , which means it’ll be in our faces for a while so I hope you are all on board. As I said before, I’m looking forward to it. Like, I didn’t need a MP sequel but since it’s here, I expect to like it. If John Krasinski’s reaction is anything to go by, I best steel myself for an emotional wallop. John told Ellen DeGeneres (clip below) that the Krasinski-Blunt family was treated to an advanced screening over the Thanksgiving holiday. He sat down for it excited, but by the end, he was a sobbing mess.

John Krasinski was not prepared for the emotion that overcame him when he watched the love of his life portray an iconic childhood character.

The Office alum, 39, shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday that he was lucky enough to see an early showing of his wife Emily Blunt‘s new film Mary Poppins Returns, in which she plays the titular magical nanny. He recalled that he was initially surprised to see tissues in the screening room, thinking that they wouldn’t be necessary because he “didn’t have a cold.”

He continued: “25 minutes into the movie, I stood up and went to the back of the room, and Emily said, ‘Do you not like it? I’ve never seen this happen.’ And I was pushing through all the muffins and bagels that were in the back looking for napkins. I was like, ‘I need anything to stop this crying!’ I was crying so much. I blew through the tissue box in 20 minutes, had to go to the napkins, and when I ran out of napkins, it’s just all sweater.”

Then when DeGeneres asked if his wife, 35, did a great job, the father of two joked, “It’s not her best,” before changing direction. “It’s honestly one of the most beautiful films. I think it’s exactly what everybody needs at the holidays, the pure joy,” he said.

[From People]

I don’t know why, but I don’t have any problem with Emily and John’s public lovefest. Maybe he’s just that good of an actor but I absolutely buy that John is simply that enamored with everything his wife does. And I certainly believes he loved her movie, he has a history of that already.

I can’t get past the bagels, though. There is nothing in my life that the right bagel can’t cure.

As I said, I was looking forward to this film but now I’m starting to worry if I’ll make it through it. Between Lin Manual Miranda’s crying jabs with the songs and John’s inability to turn the waterworks off, what are we in for? Sure, the original had a scene or two that tugged at the heartstrings, but this sounds like I’ll need a theater with chairs that allow me to curl into a fetal position. You know what, I’m here for it. I can use a little pure joy right now.

Not long ago, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham revealed that they have a baby on the way. This couple from The Bachelor didn’t plan to get pregnant before the wedding, but that was just how it ended up for them. Now, these two are sharing several names that they won’t be using for their child.

Lauren and Arie do already know if they are having a boy or a girl. The thing is they aren’t sharing it with fans yet. That means they have to talk about names for both sexes since they can’t accidentally reveal the news. They plan to share it around the same time they get married in January of 2019.

Still recovering… Bach/Bachette party at @venetianvegas was insane. A lot of pics we can’t post, but that’s what Vegas is all about right? #doug #ringtoss #daddidollars

A post shared by Arie Luyendyk ? (@ariejr) on Nov 19, 2018 at 6:24pm PST

They admitted that they have had a hard time figuring out a baby name. It doesn’t sound like the couple has even decided yet. Lauren and Arie talked about it with Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti in a sneak peek of their special Almost Famous podcast episode obtained by People.

Arie is a Jr., but they won’t be doing the same for their child. Lauren shared saying, “We have quite a list of names, yeah.” Arie shared saying, “There’s this [naming] app that you can swipe left or right, a lot like Tinder.” Lauren shared details saying, “I’m at like almost 600 nos. No Arie Jr. Jr.” They won’t be naming their child Arie or Ariel, so you can count those out.

The thing is the couple hasn’t shared just yet what name they are going to use. It sounds like they don’t have a decision made yet. Arie and Lauren know what a big choice this is to make and they are taking it seriously.

Arie did make it sound like during the premiere of Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor fans could find out if they are having a boy or girl. He did admit that they filmed something. Fans will just have to wait and see if it ends up airing or not. ABC would be crazy not to take advantage of being the ones who get to share that information.

What do you think of the names that Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham say they won’t be using? Let us know in the comments, and don’t miss new episodes of The Bachelor with Colton Underwood when they start airing in January of 2019 on ABC. It sounds like Colton will find love according to spoilers coming out.
