There’s been some talk recently about how the Duchess of Sussex is cutting some people out of her life, and that she has trust issues with some of her old friends, not to mention trust issues with the white Markles. I found those stories to be rather mundane – every “regular person” who marries into the royal family does some editing to their circle of friends and family. If you ever want to know who you can trust and who will sell you out, all you have to do is marry a prince and you’ll find out in a hurry. Anyway, Tom Sykes at the Daily Beast had an interesting little aside about all Meghan’s friendship-editing. Apparently, Harry’s close friends aren’t entirely friendly with her. Why is that? Because of her liberal politics?

Sources in the Oxfordshire village where Meghan and Harry have a country house and now spend much of their time tell The Daily Beast that when Meghan is spotted walking in the Great Tew estate on which their house stands, she is usually sighted alone.

“There never seems to be anyone with her except a cop following at a discreet distance. She does not seem unhappy but she does seem very solitary,” says the local. The source says there rarely seem to be visitors to their house, and when the couple do venture out to nearby Soho Farmhouse with friends, Meghan is always with Harry and people from his circle of buddies, not hers.

Harry and the wider royal family are, of course, deeply aware of the extent to which loneliness and isolation contributed to Princess Diana’s troubles, and the young royals have extended the hand of friendship. Kate and Meghan speak on the phone regularly, and Beatrice and Eugenie, who are close to Harry, have also sought to be friendly faces. But the British elite are notoriously gossipy and mean about outsiders joining their ranks, and Meghan is struggling to build a group of supportive pals in the wider community.

The writer Lady Colin Campbell, a confidant of Lady Diana’s with good contacts among the wider family, told The Daily Beast: “Her politics are an issue. She is ultra-liberal and that trendy-lefty stuff does not go down well with some of Harry’s friends. He has introduced her to them all at parties and weddings and private dinners, but she is very anti- a lot of the things that their world functions upon, such as shooting.”

“Everybody discovers after marrying into the royal family how solitary and arduous an existence it can be. Meghan has already begun to discover this. However, because of her track record as a successful actress who has made her own way in the world, she may have the tools to cope with the solitary nature of her existence in a way that few others could have. Diana really struggled with the solitary nature of being a royal, although she often ended up being alone because of her own miscalculations; she blew hot and cold and people got fed up. Diana’s life was more isolated than it would otherwise have been. It is apparent that beneath her charm Meghan can be rather tough, her challenge is to maintain the new relationships she builds.”

I find this unconvincing. First of all, I don’t think Meghan is “ultra-liberal” or “trendy-left.” She’s been a feminist all her life and she’s a Democrat who loathes Donald Trump. She eats meat, she married a prince, and she’s interested in embracing multicultural plurality. She’s also black. I wonder if that’s what is considered “ultra-liberal” these days?

As for his friends… Harry does have a lot of posh friends from a lifetime of attending posh schools and hanging out with the children of aristocrats and politicians. Harry and his friends are the ones who need to change, not Meghan.

I’ve mentioned this a few times in the past week, but I still believe that Kim Kardashian was very close to divorcing Kanye West back in November/December 2016. That was right after her Paris burglary and assault, and while Kanye was being hospitalized after he had some kind of breakdown. I still don’t know why Kim didn’t actually file for divorce – I suspect she had several reasons, like not wanting to look like she was dumping her mentally ill husband when he was struggling, and maybe she was thinking about her kids too. But after that moment, there was definitely a shift in their marriage. Kim seems happy enough to let Kanye do his thing from somewhere else, and she just stays at home with the kids. But now Kanye is out of “the sunken place” and talking about moving to Chicago permanently and putting dudes on blast. So what does Kim think about all of that? People Magazine had an exclusive:

On Kanye’s week of drama: “Kanye has always been like this. He has a million things on his mind that he wants to accomplish and create. Although one can see it as being very passionate, it can still be overwhelming for Kim,” a source close to the reality star tells PEOPLE. “She doesn’t necessarily love when people now keep asking her if she is moving to Chicago and she has to explain to everyone what’s going on. It can be exhausting.”

The long-distance marriage: “When it comes to their living situation, Kim and Kanye have had a long distance marriage in the past. She isn’t concerned about this. She spent a lot of time in L.A. while Kanye was in Jackson Hole for his album. Chicago will be the same — Kim and the kids will join Kanye when they can and then Kim will be in L.A. when she needs to. It hasn’t been that big of a deal in the past. Kim has help when she is alone with the kids. She is amazing at balancing her family’s needs with her career. If Kanye starts spending more time in Chicago, she will manage.”

People are worried that Kanye is in another manic state: “It’s happening again. Late night texts, and he’s all over the place. He’s not sleeping a lot at night, just a few hours per night, and he’s go go go. But he’s not making a lot of sense,” an insider close to West tells PEOPLE. The insider also adds that West’s mind continuously changes when it comes to decision-making. “He’s moving to Chicago. No, he’s working on new music. No, he’s doing some sort of memorial to his mom. He’s focusing on Kim and the kids. He’s withdrawing. He wants to be social. It never stops. He’s not focused right now,” says the insider. “It seems that this started with his dad’s diagnosis, I don’t know for sure, but it’s definitely becoming more frequent.”

Kanye’s dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and the source tells People that Kanye barely even talks about it because it’s too difficult for him. It’s been obvious from the start that Kanye was looking to build his own family in the wake of Donda West’s death, and he got it with Kim and the whole Kardashian-Jenner clan. But even Kanye can only take them in small doses, and I’m not convinced that the clan actually provides the kind of stability he needs. Well, by that I mean, he needs stability but clearly chooses instability in his life. He’d rather run off to Jackson Hole or Paris or Chicago then deal with the day-to-day life of being married to Kim. And as I said, I think she’s over it too, and she’s been over it for two years. What do you think will happen here? I think Kim will be the one to leave him, and when that happens, all hell will probably break loose.

I’m an only child. I can’t imagine what it’s like to have SIX siblings. So I really can’t imagine what it’s like to have six siblings who all lining up in lockstep against me publicly. This is happening to Republican Paul Gosar, the congressional representative in Arizona’s 4th district. Rep. Gosar is part of the so-called “Freedom Caucus,” although I prefer the pejorative “Suicide Caucus” to describe that brand of hypocritical, destructive, asinine Republicans. Rep. Gosar is all-in on Donald Trump, all-in on putting babies in cages at the border, all-in with assaulting women and covering up for predators. He’s a terrible person. And all of his siblings think so too – they agreed to do an ad for his opponent, Dr. David Brill.

It’s a devastating and infuriating moment in American politics, and it takes a lot to surprise me, but I’ve never seen an ad where all of a sitting congressman’s siblings line up to endorse his opponent. Even more shocking: Rep. Gosar’s seat has long been considered “safe.” Most analysts don’t believe David Brill has much of a shot at even making this race a toss up. Will this ad move the needle? Or did the Gosar siblings do this out of pure moral conviction?

Rep. Paul has come under fire in recent months for some of his more views, including his tough stance on immigration (specifically, as CNN reported, the refusal of legal rights for documented “Dreamers”). The politician also promoted a conspiracy theory that Democtraic donor George Soros financed the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia as a point of propaganda against the right.

Meanwhile, in another ad on Brill’s YouTube page, the six Gosar siblings admit that coming out against their brother isn’t easy. “It’s horrible to have to do this,” says Jennifer.

“None of this is pleasant for any of us,” explains David. “We got to stand up for our good name. This is not who we are.”

“To speak up against my brother, it brings sadness to me,” reveals Joan, an engineer. “I think my brother has traded a lot of the values we had at our kitchen table.”

Tim calls the ad “intervention time,” with Grace saying, “I couldn’t be quiet any longer.”

According to The Phoenix New Times, there’s still more to come from Paul’s siblings. The outlet reported that another spot, which is not public yet but was screened at a fundraiser on Thursday, features Grace claiming, “It would be difficult to see my brother as anything but a racist.”

Not only that, but when a journalist referred to the Brill ads as “petty” (he was using it as a compliment/slang), David Gosar emailed him and said this:

“What are we supposed to do when Paul makes excuses for the Charlottesville Nazis, goes to a march for Tommy Robinson, a despicable right wing British thug and gives a speech, is a birther, slanders an old man, George Soros, who didn’t do anything wrong to him and then refuses to apologize, is on a mission to destroy health care coverage, denies climate change despite not having a clue of what he’s talking about, and supports a policy of kicking out DACA kids and taking babies away from parents at the border? Are we supposed to be be silent? Or if we don’t, when we speak out we’re included in the term, “petty?” None of this is even close to being any kind of a joke to us.”

Wesley made clear to him that he was using “petty” as a compliment, as in the Gosar siblings are delightfully and justifiably petty about their brother being so deplorable. And finally, Rep. Gosar responded.

Rihanna is a proud Barbadian/Bajan. She was born and raised in Barbados, and she returns home several times a year. She invests in Barbados and she’s possibly one of the most famous Bajans ever. But Rihanna is also a citizen of the world, spreading joy and shade and music and makeup and sexiness wherever she goes. And for that, Barbados is super-proud of their favorite daughter. So they’re giving her an ambassadorship.

Rihanna just got a promotion. After seven years as a cultural ambassador for her native Barbados, the pop star, 30, has been appointed the nation’s “Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary,” according to a press release from the country’s Government Information Service.

“Rihanna has a deep love for this country and this is reflected in her philanthropy, especially in the areas of health and education. She also shows her patriotism in the way she gives back to this country and continues to treasure the island as her home,” Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley said in the statement. “She has also demonstrated, beyond her success as a pop icon, significant creative acumen and shrewdness in business. It is therefore fitting that we engage and empower her to play a more definitive role as we work to transform Barbados.”

Having already helped promote tourism to Barbados since 2008, Rihanna will now also promote the country’s education and investment efforts as part of her new responsibilities.

In the statement, Rihanna was quoted as saying she “couldn’t be more proud” of being given the chance to help shape the future of her home country.

“I couldn’t be more proud to take on such a prestigious title in my home country,” she said. “Every Barbadian is going to have to play their role in this current effort, and I’m ready and excited to take on the responsibility. I look forward to working with Prime Minister Mottley and her team to reimagine Barbados.”

I’m pretty sure that this means that Rihanna has some kind of diplomatic immunity at this point. May she only use it for good! By that I mean, I hope Rihanna just smokes a joint wherever she goes, steals as many wine glasses as she can carry and continue to wear whatever she wants. If a cop tries to say something she’ll take a big drag from her blunt and say “Nah, diplomatic immunity, sis.” In all seriousness, I love how much Barbados loves Rihanna and how much she gives back. She’s a great advertisement for the small country.

Porsha Williams of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently revealed that she is pregnant with her first child. Now it looks like she may have accidentally revealed the sex of her baby on an Instagram post. Us Weekly shared the details about what Porsha had to say and how fans think she is having a girl now. Of course, she isn’t admitting anything just yet.

Porsha is 37-years-old and expecting her first child with her boyfriend Dennis McKinley. The reality star from The Real Housewives of Atlanta is really excited about the baby on the way. When she found out the news an article was released about it. Later that day Porsha went to her Instagram and said, “I am happy, healthy… and pregnant! #BabyMckinley #DM #Blessed … Love you all thank you for your support and warm wishes it means the world to us!” She had just shared back in June that she was dating and details about her man.

Recently, Ming Lee posted a photo on Instagram that showed four babies that were napping. Porsha decided to reply to it. She said, “Omg I wish my baby was out !! I would have her right there getting done up lol.” Did you notice that she said “her”? This has everyone wondering if Porsha has a little girl on the way. If so, she hasn’t revealed the sex yet so she accidentally let it slip.

The fans noticed what Porsha had to say and they started messaging her about it. She didn’t respond to any of them. If she didn’t mean to say it, she isn’t admitting a thing. Now everyone will just have to wonder for a while if Porsha is really having a girl. Hopefully, she will announce it soon, but she could decide to wait until the baby is here to even confirm the sex of her new child.

It will be interesting to see how Porsha reacts to being pregnant and if it changes her. When a new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta starts, the fans will be able to find out if anything is different.
