Bella Hadid covers the September issue of Allure, which is apparently The Lips Issue. The editorial – which you can see here – is focused on lipstick, lip liner, and all of the hot lip colors for fall. Personally, I think Bella looks totally wrong in half of those lip colors, but what do I know? I’m obviously quite gauche with my Baby Lips tinted lip balm. Anyway, Bella’s Allure interview is quite harmless – she’s very girly and she loves talking about beauty/skincare stuff. She’s self-absorbed, but she’s not “woe is me” about every little thing. Some highlights:

On flying and jet lag: “In the beginning, I would fly straight into work, and really not feel well and not know how to handle my jet lag — now I’ve kind of perfected the jet lag. I’m on a plane every other day, so just for my own health and my own skin, I always have moisturizer with me, a hyaluronic acid serum, and a night face mask because I love doing facials on the plane.”

She doesn’t like a red lip: “There’s probably five times, maybe, you’ve seen me with a red lip. I’m very self-conscious about it. I always stick to nudes and darker colors, but this shoot made me come out of my comfort zone a lot….I’ve been really into just a lip liner, very overlined, with lip gloss.”

The hair risks she would try: “I definitely want to do a pixie cut. I want to do bangs again. I want to go blonde, and right now, I’m obsessed with long hair — I love a long weave.”

Her best cure-all: “My mom always said, “Drink water. You have a stomachache, a headache? Drink water.” It was always the thing that she said would heal everything, and now I’m realizing that she was so right — but I definitely have to force myself, [because] I’m not a good water drinker. Also, definitely excessive moisturizing on my body, my lips, and my face is something that kind of just makes me feel all around better.

Her favorite fashion trend: “I’m definitely a sneakerhead, and I love matching sneakers with dresses and gowns… I feel sexier in a pair of tennis shoes than I do in heels.

How she practices self-care: “I think mantras are really good, and I think that’s something that I really need to start doing more. I’ve written mine down and I’m a very spiritual person. In the morning I always take time with myself and have my crystals, and at night I listen to my meditation music just to prepare for the next day. With my schedule, I need to take more time to do that and to be more positive about myself.”

[From Allure]

I remember when Bella had bangs. And you know what? I didn’t completely hate them. See?!? I don’t hate ALL bangs. Some women can actually pull off a certain fringe-cut, and Bella really worked her thick, straight bangs with a good lob. She also attempted, for a time, some too-short baby bangs which weren’t that great. I’d like to see her try a long weave – she says in the interview that she’s obsessed with Cher, and I’d love to see her with some super-long Cher weave in a dark brown or black. She might look amazing. I have no idea how she’d look as a blonde though. I just can’t see it. As for the rest of it… yes, water will always make you feel better. Mantras? Well, who knows.

Even though Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have been separated for over a year, they are still putting up a united front as parents to their six-year-old son, Jack. Earlier this week, the former couple were spotted hanging out together with Jack, casually strolling the streets of Santa Monica, California.

Unlike the nasty divorces we seem to be talking about lately, Chris and Anna’s ongoing co-parenting relationship is friendly. An insider told E! News that their mission is focused on “doing what’s best for Jack.” The source went on to share that, “Anna and Chris are on good terms. They both have moved on and are happy in their new lives.”

As far as their new lives, Anna is seemingly happy with cinematographer Michael Bennett, whom she’s been dating since October of last year. Chris and Katherine Schwarzenegger are also still an item.

Both Michael and Katherine have met Jack. Anna introduced Michael to him “very early on” and Katherine has been out with Chris and Jack several times. A People magazine source revealed that the lifestyle blogger, “seemed to be really happy and fit in with [Chris] and his son. She appeared to be genuinely enjoying herself and looked entirely comfortable helping him in doting over his son.”

This extended family rapport is important to Chris and Anna. As the E! News source pointed out, “Luckily they are both dating people who love Jack and are very good with kids. Jack is going to be a big part of their lives and they wouldn’t date anyone that didn’t accept that.”

As Jack headed back to school, both Chris and Anna were there for orientation and his first day. “They both wanted to be there for him and to get him settled,” E!’s insider said. As far as making time for Jack and their own lives, the pair have been flexible with scheduling and “try to be understanding and open minded.”

Since Anna and Chris had a drama-free split, I’m not surprised their excelling as co-parents. Besides, how could you not want to drop everything for Jack? He is a doll. I don’t have kids, so I’m not sure when it’s okay to introduce boy/girlfriends into the family equation. Did Anna and Chris do this too soon? I know the few times I dated men with kids, I only ever met one guy’s offspring. It was after a few months of us dating, and we didn’t even hold hands when the kids were around. Other than that, it seems they’re doing the co-parenting thing right, and that makes me happy for Jack.

Celebrating Carmen, just a few days away from her 5th bday ?

A post shared by Hilaria Thomas Baldwin (@hilariabaldwin) on Aug 20, 2018 at 5:47am PDT

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas-Baldwin have four children together, plus Alec has a daughter, Ireland, from his first marriage. As soon as Alec and Hilaria got together, they’ve been crunking out babies as fast as they can. They now have four kids under the age of six, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Hilaria wants another one and/or is already pregnant. Hilaria has spoken before about how Alec is “old-school” about their marriage and parenting in general. “Old school” meaning that Hilaria and their team of nannies raise the children and Alec does whatever he wants. So, big surprise, I’ve never wondered if Alec is a good and giving husband. I’ve never wondered if they have a marriage of equals, where they share domestic responsibilities. Of course they don’t and of course he isn’t.

Alec has only cooked for her one time: “He has cooked one omelet for me in our entire relationship. It was actually very good. Alec Baldwin can make an omelet and he made one for me. It was before we got married and before we had kids. He’s not a cook. He can do it apparently, but I was amazed that he could make me a vegetable omelet.”

They don’t do romantic getaways anymore: “We cannot do that anymore, because I can’t bear to either leave my children or take them all on a plane trip when it doesn’t have anything to do with work because it’s so stressful. So we stay home a lot.”

The kids – Carmen, 5, Rafael, 3, Leonardo, 1 and Romeo, 3 months – are picky eaters: “All four of my children have different dietary needs right now. Rafa is the pickiest eater in the world, but as the pediatrician pointed out to me when I was worrying about it, the eight things that he eats, more or less, are all extremely healthy. It’s not french fries and grilled cheese sandwiches. He’s eating tofu and kale chips and pretzels and stuff like that. He won’t eat anything else. I realize that dinner time, bath time, and bed time is ‘roll your sleeves up, we can do this.’ Just get one foot in front of the other, it’s gonna be okay.”

She eats out of her own garden: “We’ve been eating lots of salads and grilled veggies and stuff like that, which has been so magical. And being New Yorkers, you order in a lot, but I do like to cook and it’s different everyday.” But she adds: “I’m still waiting for a second omelet.”

[From People]

There are some men who are helpless in the kitchen, truly, even though that’s such a dumb gender stereotype. It doesn’t sound like Alec is truly helpless in the kitchen – I bet he can do various simple things, like grilled cheese or heating up soup or making a good sauce or whatever. He just doesn’t do it because he’s 60 years old and he has no interest in making a meal for Hilaria. I would assume he also has no interest in helping Hilaria and the team of nannies with the kids whatsoever. He’s “old school,” which means he probably has no idea what his kids’ dietary needs are. Nor does he care that much. That’s Hilaria’s job, right?
