Has the Sienna Miller Rebrand stuck? I think it worked, sort of. Sienna is no longer a constant in the tabloids, British or American, and she seems to be working consistently, at times to great acclaim. I think she’s living most of the time in New York too, and she and Tom Sturridge co-parent their daughter Marlowe pretty successfully. I say that because I hear about any issues between them, and they seem to still get along pretty well and spend time together with Marlowe. But it’s not all sunshine and roses for Sienna – apparently, Marlowe is a “petri dish of germs” and the four-year-old recently came home with lice.

It may seem like celebrity parents and kids don’t have to deal with the same challenges of everyday life that many do, but in Sienna Miller‘s case, that’s just not true. Case in point? Her 4-year-old daughter Marlowe came home from school recently with something most parents dread having to deal with.

“She got nits for the first time — like head lice,” the actress, 34, told PEOPLE Tuesday at an N.Y.C. screening of her new gangster drama Live By Night. Adds Miller, “She’s like a petri dish of germs. She just brings home things from school. It’s the joy of having a child in school. She said, ‘I’ve got ants in my head,’ ” recalls Miller. “And I was like, ‘Oh no!’ I knew exactly what it was.”

The single mom — she and Marlowe’s dad Tom Sturridge split in July 2015 — says that despite the slight panic in hearing her daughter brought lice home, she nipped it in the bud quickly.

“Yeah, we dealt with it. We had the hair fairies over,” she says.

Now that the lice issue is behind them, the mother-daughter duo is focusing on enjoying the holiday season together in a low-key, relaxing way.

“We’re gonna be in England. We’re gonna be snuggled up with old movies and fireplaces, and Mama’s gonna have some wine,” shares the actress. “Gonna stuff our faces with turkey and food, like we do every year, and try not to squabble as a family.”

[From People]

I guess I was a blessed child because I never had lice. I do remember that there were some kids who had lice, but when I was growing up, people always associated lice with being low-class, which I’m just now understanding is a ridiculous notion. Anyone can get lice! Now, I did pick up nearly everything else going around though, and that was my M.O. through college even. Like, as soon as a school year started, I would get sick with whatever was going around. I remember chicken pox going through my elementary school like the plague – kids were dropping like flies! So yes, I do think ALL kids are petri dishes of germs. Gross.

Jamie Oliver’s Father-Son Selfie

Author: Admin | Filed under: Celebrities

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver shared a sweet selfie with son River Rocket, 4 months, via Instagram Wednesday.

“Chilling, Just hanging out by the River,” The Naked Chef star, 41, captioned the image.

Last month, Oliver posted a photo of wife Jools babywearing River on her 42nd birthday.

Jamie and Jools – who are also parents to daughters Poppy Honey Rosie, 14, Daisy Boo Pamela, 13, Petal Blossom Rainbow, 7, and son Buddy Bear Maurice, 5.– welcomed their fifth child on Aug. 7.

It sounds like the Oliver family-of-seven are set to have a very Merry Christmas together.

“I’ve put a lot of hours in this year, River’s come along and now in a routine, which is important when they’re that young, and I thought, Let’s change it up and have a slightly more sane Christmas, which I’ve never had,” Oliver recently said of spending the holidays with their kids.

The father-of-five went on to gush about his sweet baby boy.

“River is really good now, so we’re relieved. Sleep deprivation is hard. But it’s a dream now,” he said. “We’re like teenagers all of a sudden. We just need to get River into a bit more of a routine before we leave the house. Having time alone with Jools is the rarest thing.”

It sounds like he scared the household a few years ago when he dressed up as Santa Claus.

“I think they thought I was some kind of dodgy geezer,” said Oliver. “Instead of spending up on a quality velvet outfit, I invested in something from Amazon that was highly inflammable and slightly see through. I looked like a dirty Santa. I jumped out and said ‘Hi!’ and the two little kids just screamed and started to cry. I won’t do that again.”

Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed opens today. As you probably know, it’s based on the video game. Video game film adaptations are usually sh-t. We were supposed to think that maybe this one would be the exception because Michael Fassbender is a Serious Actor. And presumably has the Good Tast…

Fast and Furious star Jordana Brewster shared a sweet selfie via Instagram Wednesday.

While walking in a winter wonderland, the proud mama, 36, stopped to take a family photo with husband Andrew Form and their two sons: Julian, 3, and Rowan, 6 months.

The Lethal Weapon actress also shared a sweet snapshot of her elder son hitting the slopes during their winter getaway.

Earlier this month, we spotted the multi-tasking mama and her boys shopping at the Brentwood Country Mart.

Here’s wishing the Brewster-Form family a very Merry Christmas.

Michael Phelps is retiring. It’s official, he’s out. Well, it’s mostly official. He says it’s for real but nobody believes him. And with good reason: he said the London Olympics were his last as well. Of course, he memorably turned around, trained for and won six medals at the Rio games this past summer. However, if you read Sports Illustrated’s end of the year issue with Phelps on the cover, it sounds like this is it, probably. Phelps, as most of you know, has won 28 Olympic medals, which is the most won by any Olympian in history. 23 of those medals are gold. Michael’s personal life has been much messier than his professional life, riddled with a stand-offish attitude, entitlement, addiction issues and more objectionably, DUIs. After successfully completing rehab and reconnecting with his then-girlfriend Nicole Johnson, Phelps decided he needed one last Olympics on his terms. The SI article is long but, if you like swimming, it’s really good. The opening is so melodramatic I kind of rolled my eyes. But then I got caught up in the moment and ended up as emotional as when I watched Phelps compete. During the course of the interview, Phelps reiterates not only that he is done but why he can let go now as opposed to before.

“I’m coming into my last four or five strokes, and I remember thinking, Whatever happens, this is how it’s supposed to end,” says Phelps. “Maybe I’m going 6-for-6 and that’s perfect, or maybe Joe is going to hang on and I’m O.K. with that. That’s when I knew I was ready to retire. Any other time, I would have been livid about finishing second.”

Schooling won the gold. Phelps finished in a three-way dead heat with Chad le Clos of South Africa and Laszlo Cseh of Hungary, two of his longtime rivals. “And that was perfect,” says Phelps. “It was time to move on.”

The next night Phelps got his 23rd gold, in the medley relay, and, his Olympics over, he celebrated with family and friends. During the small party Debbie wrapped her arms around her son’s neck and whispered in his ear, “Tokyo 2020. Four more years, question mark.”

Michael pulled back. Debbie had coaxed him similarly after the London Games, but in 2016 the son lovingly scolded the parent. “Mom,” he said, “don’t start this now. If you want to go to Tokyo, I’ll take you to Tokyo. We don’t need the Olympics for that.”

[From Sport Illustrated]

The article said Debbie was kidding about asking Phelps about Tokyo. Debbie wasn’t kidding, she’d be sitting in those stands until she was so old they’d have to prop her up. Although every other person quoted in the article seems to think Tokyo is a possibility, the one person who doesn’t is Phelps’ coach Bob Bowman. When Phelps texted him his ‘goal sheet’ that showed he’s never gotten the world records in the 200 butterfly and 200 individual medley, Bowman’s response was, “Let it go.” Bowman told SI, “I was certain he wouldn’t come back after London because he hated it so much. This time I’m certain he won’t come back because he loved it so much.” Honestly, I think Bowman knows Phelps better than anyone. If he says Phelps is done, I believe it… even more than I believe Phelps.

As for Phelps’ secret wedding to Nicole in June, it turns out it was really just a logistical thing to help them avoid trouble in traveling to Rio. The had another wedding October 29 in Cabo San Lucas and that’s the date they will celebrate as their anniversary. And this is unrelated but did anyone else wonder what cracked Phelps up on the podium for #20? Apparently it had to do with stretching out the “Ooooooohhhhh,” at the end of the Star Spangled Banner. It’s an Orioles thing.

khloe1

Khloe Kardashian covers the latest issue of Health Mag and she’s showing off her “revenge body” or whatever. This is Khloe’s brand now – health, exercise, fitness, self-love, revenge bodies and more. I kind of don’t hate it? I mean, if her brand has to be something, at least she’s being body-positive and encouraging people to take their fitness seriously. Of course, I also strongly believe that Khloe has augmented her body with the Pinocchio Butt (which she still half-heartedly denies), but that’s a conversation for a different time. Here are some highlights from her Health interview:

Why she became a gym rat: “I was going through my divorce, and I just really needed an outlet. I had turned to food and had an unhealthy relationship with food my whole life, and I was like, ‘Food has never helped me lose weight. So I joined Equinox, and I would go there and put my headphones on and get on the elliptical or the stairs, and no one would bother me or ask me questions because even at Starbucks, I would get the, ‘I’m sorry…’ I would watch the Real Housewives or something mindless, and I felt like all the stress I was under, all the paparazzi, I blocked out all that noise. I escaped there and as a byproduct, I started losing weight. Then I thought, ‘OK, i’m gonna call a trainer and Gunnar Peterson has been a family friend of ours.’ He changed my body.”

She doesn’t care about a number on a scale: “I don’t care what weight I am. It’s genuinely about me being healthy. I was never like, ‘I want to lose 30 pounds in 30 days.’ Trust me: I’ve done juice cleanses. I did the Master cleanse. Like, what would Beyoncé do? But it didn’t work for my body and my lifestyle.”

On her body vs Kim’s: “Kim can eat anything, and I’m like, ‘I hate you.’ The nutritionist was like, ‘Kim has a body like a Ferrari, and you have a body like a Honda.’ I was like, ‘Yep, that sounds about right. That’s my life—you just summed it up right there.’”

On if she thinks the idea of beautiful shape is changing: “With the Ashley Grahams of the world, it’s like a body revolution…. She’s so beautiful and confident—she glows from within. I love that this is a social change. I love that pop culture now has realistic body images for women to look up to, especially for kids.”

On why she calls her new line Good American: “America’s sweetheart used to be the blond, blue-eyed, perfectly poised young lady, and nowadays, it’s a badass melting pot, all different ethnicities, heights and colors…. Also, everything is done in the U.S.”

The reason her line goes from 00 to 24: “I love women of all shapes and sizes. I love empowering women, and I’m obsessed with confident women. For our campaign, I booked real women.”

Who’s the cook in your family: “Kylie and me. Kourtney is horrendous. I don’t think she knows how to scramble eggs.”

Khloé’s fitness advice: “I always say to set realistic goals, because then you don’t get discouraged. Do something, and then set a new goal from there. I don’t believe in a quick fix. I like making lifestyle changes.”

Her boyfriend Tristan Thompson. “I love athletes. Someone who has the same interests as me, who likes to work out, like that’s their hobby or their job, that’s fine. Tristan is who I’m into. He’s a little cutie.”

[From Health Mag]

Oddly, I feel the same way about weighing myself and I always have felt that way. I think that’s why I like Khloe’s current branding, because I feel like we have a similar outlook. I never weigh myself. I never set weight-related goals for myself. I know I’ve lost weight in the past few years, but I know that because my body feels and looks different and I feel stronger overall.

Now if we could only get Khloe to stop messing with her face.

Just chillin in my Good Americans

Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon covers the latest issue of PEOPLE and opens up about her Christmas plans traveling to see family in Georgia and Tennessee, and her favorite holiday traditions with husband Jim Toth, their son Tennessee, 4, and her teenagers: daughter Ava, 17, and 13-year-old son Deacon.

On her family’s holiday traditions: “Even though they are growing up, my kids already have really fond memories of our Christmas traditions. Gingerbread houses, and we have to have Advent calendars. These are things where you think, ‘Oh, they’re not noticing …’ but then I forgot the Advent calendars this year, and Deacon was like, ‘Mom! Where are they?!’ I didn’t realize how important they were to him!”

On her favorite childhood memories at Christmas: “I love Christmas caroling. I remember bundling up and walking around the neighborhood. It’s one of my favorite holiday memories from being a kid in Nashville.”

On her kids’ favorite Christmas traditions: “Ava bakes tons of cookies, Tennessee likes to make waffles with me, and Deacon is such a good helper, he’ll help with anything,”

On her New Year’s resolutions: “I usually have the same ones everyone has. Drink more water, exercise, eat healthier … but I just break all of ’em, so I don’t pressure myself. I’m like, I’m doing enough! If I do any more, I’m going to fall over!”
