Earlier this week it was reported that Tori Spelling was ordered to pay nearly $40,000 to American Express to settle a debt of about $39k plus court fees. AmEx sued Tori in January for failure to make payments on her bill. Over the summer we heard that she also owed over a quarter million dollars in back taxes to the state of California and it’s been rumored that she has other extensive credit card debt. That’s to be expected given her lifestyle, which included an extended trip to Europe this summer, although she did do some promotional appearances. So Tori has money problems, and she also has four children, ranging in age from four to nine, with her husband of ten years, Dean McDermott. Tori and Dean predictably marital problems, she claimed he cheated on her in 2014, but she forgave him and they had that romantic vacation over the summer. It looks like they didn’t take precautions because Tori is pregnant, at 43 years old, with her fifth child.

And baby makes seven: Tori Spelling is expanding her family once again.

“It was a total surprise,” Spelling tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week’s issue of her impending fifth child with husband Dean McDermott. “But we always wanted a big family. I’m really excited.”

The pair are already parents to Liam, 9, Stella, 8, Hattie, 5 and Finn, 4. Dean also has an 18-year-old son, Jack, from his previous marriage.

“Dean was saying, ‘We just got Finn out of diapers; I thought we were in the clear!’ ” says Spelling, 43, with a laugh. “For the first time this year, they’re all in school. So it’s like, wow. We’re basically starting over.”

Regardless of the inevitable adjustments — “We need a Sprinter van!” says McDermott, 49 — the couple, who recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary, say baby number five is definitely meant to be.

“This baby happened at the best time,” says Spelling. “Nothing is ever perfect, but I’m so madly in love with my husband and with our kids. The idea of adding to that is such a blessing.”

So was Tori actively trying to get pregnant without telling her husband? He had to know something was up, he was in on it too, but the way she describes it makes it sound like he didn’t want any more kids while she did. How do you have a “surprise” baby after you already have four freaking children? It’s not a surprise if you had sex while you were ovulating and didn’t use precaution. This baby is Tori’s way of staying relevant and trying to drum up more interest in her life. Also, I’m the same age as Tori and I have absolutely zero interest in having another baby. I can’t imagine going through all that again, raising kids is hard and Tori has four under ten at home now. Kids are wonderful but they’re also so much work. I know some people enjoy having big families but her life must be chaotic.

Over the summer, we learned that Laura Prepon and Ben Foster had started dating quietly. We learned this when Ben and Laura got pap’d on the streets of New York. It seemed like an odd pairing. Ben’s last high-profile relationship was his on-and-off engagement to Robin Wright, and Laura’s most high-profile romance was with Chris Masterson, because both Masterson and Prepon are Scientologists and Scientologists tend to date other Scientologists.

Reportedly, Ben and Laura just started dating around late June/early July, so this is a pretty new thing. “New” as in they’ve maybe been dating seriously for a little more than three months. So is it weird – or right on schedule? – that Laura and Ben are already making their red carpet debut as a couple? These are photos of Ben and Laura at last night’s premiere of The Girl on the Train. Look at the way they’re positioning themselves… it’s almost as if they not only want everyone to see that they’re red carpet official, but they’re also engaged. Look at her diamond ring!! During a Monday appearance on The Tonight Show, The Girl on the Train star Emily Blunt opened up about family life with husband, The Office actor John Krasinski, and their two daughters: Hazel, 2, and Violet, 4 months.

“Hazel had my accent for a really long time and would say things like ‘water’ which I was really proud of,” the British actress, 33, told Fallon. “And then the other day she goes, [American accent] ‘Can I have some water?’ And I went, ‘It’s water.’ And she was like, ‘No, it’s [American accent] water.‘ ”

That aside, it sounds like Hazel is adjusting well to big sisterhood.

“We were concerned Hazel would be disinterested and … she quite likes her,” Blunt shared. “I turned my back for a second yesterday and I went to the kitchen to make us some lunch and I came back to discover Hazel just dragging Violet off her play mat … Violet looked a bit wide-eyed and I just said, ‘Oh, Hazel, I don’t think we want to do that.’ And she goes, ‘I just want to get her in a better spot.’ ”

Blunt was pregnant with Violet while filming The Girl on the Train, and the costume designers tried everything to conceal her growing baby bump.

“I had very hideous costumes … horrible overcoats,” she admitted. “There are a couple of stunts in it, so I was being a bit wussy about standing up too quickly, and Justin Theroux — who is fabulous and in the movie with me — he’s been a friend of mine for a long time and he was like, ‘Are you pregnant?’ and I was like, ‘Yes, but you can’t tell anyone.’ He was the only one.”

The Girl on the Train hits theaters on Oct. 7.

LOL, no, of course Brad Pitt’s side isn’t leaking to Us Weekly! Of course not! That’s why Us Weekly put this glamour shot of Brad on their cover this week. That’s why their cover story is all about Angelina’s temper and how she’s “spinning” the press in her favor, at least according to sources close to Brad who are spinning the press in his favor. Us Weekly says that Brad is “putting his kids before his pride” and that the temporary custody agreement reached last Friday is not “sole custody” for Angelina, which no one said it was – everyone reported that Jolie got primary temporary custody while the DCFS investigation is ongoing, and now Brad is trying to spin it like that was his call and his choice, because he cares so much about the kids.

Though spun in the press as a win for Jolie, 41 — TMZ originally reported Jolie got “full custody” — a Pitt insider slams that assessment in the new issue of Us Weekly, noting that the voluntary arrangement is a parenting plan, not a custody agreement. In other words, the two continue to share legal custody, as they always have. Letting the children live with their mom in Malibu — where Jolie secretly rented an $8.5 million home before filing for divorce — is “a logistical thing,” says another source. “They have six kids and want things to be as uninterrupted as possible. It didn’t make sense, all of a sudden, for the kids to have two different households. You don’t just immediately create a new world for those children.”

The Allied star, 52, under investigation by the FBI and the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services after drinking and allegedly becoming physical with one of his children aboard a private jet September 14, “will cooperate in any way he can to see the kids,” says a Pitt friend. “By agreeing to this, he can see them, which is what he wanted.”

An amicable resolution would have been unthinkable just a few weeks ago. With DCFS investigating his behavior aboard the plane, the social services organization — and Jolie’s camp — could reasonably restrict his access to the children. And at first, Jolie — who, sources say, disagreed with Pitt’s strict parenting style — was out for blood. “Angie says she’s going to destroy him,” a source told Us in the days after she quietly filed for divorce just as the courts were about to close. But Jolie’s attorneys, knowing a custody battle in court could get ugly and public, talked her off the ledge. “Her legal team worked with her temper,” says a Jolie friend, “so they could reach an agreement for the sake of the kids.”

Both Pitt and Jolie let the DCFS be in charge. According to Beverly Hills divorce attorney Hossein Berenji, who is not involved in the case, “A social worker probably interviewed Brad and Angelina and maybe the kids as well.” (Because Maddox is older than 14, he can state which parent he’d prefer to live with, according to California law, but officials still have final say.) After assessing the situation, the DCFS, confirms the insider, “made some suggestions and recommendations for Angie and Brad to consider.”

For days, attorneys on both sides hammered out fine points. Pitt “was dealing with this all day, always on the phone with his lawyers,” says the Pitt friend. Jolie too had the phone glued to her ear as she paced around her home, according to her friend. Finally, after days of back-and-forth, both Jolie and Pitt agreed to the terms.

There’s a lot more, but it’s basically overkill analysis about a temporary three-week solution that is supposed to give both sides the space and time to work out a more permanent solution to their problems. Considering the moves both sides have been making… I’m doubtful that they’re using this time to work through issues.

Let’s see… Angelina is “staying strong for her kids” through “a traumatic situation.” Her brother is staying with her and the kids. Brad is “absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the events of the past several weeks, both in terms of how those events have been wrongfully portrayed and how they have threatened to jeopardize his family’s ability to heal and move forward.” Wrongfully portrayed? Can he really say that when he couldn’t even get his story straight in the immediate wake of the divorce filing? What else? Angelina and the kids have been staying in the house, playing in the pool and just spending time together.

During a Tuesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Grammy Award-winning singer Kelly Clarkson promoted her children’s book, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, and dished on family life with husband Brandon Blackstock and their two children: daughter River Rose, 2, and son Remington “Remy” Alexander, 5 months.

“She’s a terrorist,” Clarkson joked about her toddler. “She’s so bossy. She can be the most loveable human and then just … mean.”

As it turns out, DeGeneres got a glimpse of her daughter’s assertiveness.

“I said, ‘Are you River? I’m Ellen’ and she goes, ‘Sit,’ ” DeGeneres said of their backstage conversation. “Like you’re a dog,” Clarkson joked.

Not to mention her latest movie obsession.

“She went from Finding Nemo to Jurassic Park,” admitted Clarkson. “I know, judge me. It’s fine.”

After seeing dinosaurs in various museums, River Rose became obsessed with the prehistoric creatures.

“I was like, ‘This is too old … So I’ll just play it real quick and she’ll be like, ‘No!’ ” Clarkson shared. “Seen all of ’em. She loves ’em. When people are being attacked, she literally laughs and is like ‘Ahhh!’ I don’t know what that says about her here [pointing to her heart] … or here [pointing to her head].”

The American Idol alum, 34, was sure to defend her parenting style.

“I’m a good mother,” she laughed. “It’s just, she loves [the movies] and she’s not scared. I think we teach them fear. She doesn’t know to be scared. She thinks they’re playing.”

Does River Rose enjoy sharing mom’s attention with her new baby brother?

“She doesn’t like that,” she said about the times the singer is holding her son. “She is so jealous of that moment, but she loves him. She loves feeding him and she loves — I’m such a mom, I’m so boring.”

While she loves raising her babies and her husband’s two children for his previous marriage, the Piece of Me singer said they’re done with having kids.

“No, not kids. I thought you meant books! Ah! My husband full on just had a heart attack. No,” she said of expanding their family further. “We have four because I married into two. So we have a 15-, 9-, 2[-year-old] and 5-month-old … I already have days where I cry, so we don’t need any more kids. It’s a lot.”

That same day, Clarkson appeared on TODAY and continued her conversation about motherhood.

“I’ve never felt more confident or more like a woman,” Clarkson said. “Because the amount of things that I accomplish in a day — I’m gonna say it — it’s astonishing … We do everything, though. I feel like moms, we’re just amazing humans. I literally tell my mom all the time, ‘I’m sorry,’ because I just didn’t respect that enough … It’s a hard job.”

I haven’t spent much time discussing Sarah Jessica Parker’s big return to HBO. Probably because I think her new show, Divorce, looks really… privileged? Like, the show is about two rich white people getting a divorce in New York – although they own multiple homes – and all of their friends are white and rich and there are so many emotions! Like, if this was done as a glitzy soap opera, I might understand the vibe. But there’s an earnestness to it, like we’re supposed to really, really care. Here’s the trailer:

Anyway, the premiere was held last night in NYC and Sarah Jessica wore this Dolce & Gabbana dress which is just… bad. Cheap. Awful. Tacky. Ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy SJP transition from 30-something fashionista (the Sex & the City days) to a more mature fashion matron at the age of 51. She still has fun with fashion and you can tell that she still loves getting dressed up and all of that. But this looks like a cheap party dress that has cheap rhinestone jewelry glued across the bust. It’s AWFUL!

I think we’ve all been anxiously awaiting Taylor Swift’s next big move. Tom Hiddleston, in particular, is probably sweating bullets right about now. When will Taylor release her next album? How many blind-item songs will there be? What kind of promotional tour will she do? What will those interviews sound like? Yes, it’s going to be crazy. I theorized at some point that Taylor is breaking her cycle of releasing a new album every two years, always in October or November – my theory is that she’ll release a new album next spring. Well, it might be sooner than that! Because Tay-Tay is making moves to dominate next February. She’s just signed on to perform at the big pre-Super Bowl event in Houston.

Time to shake it off! Taylor Swift will headline an AT&T DIRECTV pre–Super Bowl show the night before the big game in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, February 4, the company announced on Tuesday, October 4. Whether she will debut new music is yet to be determined! The performance is in conjunction with an exclusive multi-year deal that Swift, 26, just signed with AT&T. A custom 64,000-square-foot venue is being built just for the star, and fans will have a chance to get tickets throughout a variety of AT&T promotions and campaigns.

“We’re thrilled to reach a deal to bring Taylor and her unique talents to her fans and our customers in new and exclusive ways,” AT&T CEO John Stankey said in a statement on the company’s website. “We’re excited to get event tickets into the hands of Taylor’s fans and exclusive content from the event to our customers and celebrate the combination of one of the world’s biggest artists with one of the world’s biggest sporting events.”

Swift already has major sponsorship deals with Apple Music and Diet Coke. She became a brand ambassador for the Coca-Cola company in 2013. Its arch rival, Pepsi, has sponsored the Super Bowl halftime show for years. This is Swift’s first big music announcement since ending her 1989 world tour in December 2015.

Her brand-ambassadorship with Coke has long been the “excuse” for why Taylor has never been invited to do the Pepsi-sponsored Super Bowl Half-Time show, although there are many theories floating around that Taylor has actually shown some interest but the NFL didn’t want her. Just like there are theories that Taylor offered a song for the Olympics but NBC went with Katy Perry instead. I have no idea if any of that is true. Anyway, the bigger story here is that Taylor scored another lucrative endorsement deal, and that she’s making the kinds of moves that would seem to indicate that she’s going to release a new album… soon. Maybe January/February? Which means that Taylor might appear on January magazine covers, which come out in December. Swiftmas!!!

By now, I think we have a pretty good idea of the general points of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s falling out. First, they had lots of issues throughout the year. It got so bad this summer that Angelina began looking at house rentals in LA and Malibu, and she reportedly found an expensive Malibu rental just a week or two before she filed for divorce. Then the plane incident went down and Angelina bolted with the kids to said Malibu rental, leaving Brad in the dust. Angelina was called many terrible things because she had an exit strategy and a plan, but I guess what we didn’t know was that the Malibu rental was always a temporary solution. Entertainment Tonight claims that Angelina has once again bolted with the kids, this time to a less expensive rental.

Angelina Jolie left her Malibu hideaway for an estate in Hidden Hills, California, overnight, and ET has details on the new pad. The property is nearly double the size of her 4,409-square-foot Malibu rental, boasting 8,284 square feet. Within that space are two beach entry pools, a cascading waterfall, an 800-sqare-foot cabana and a wine tasting room.

The new mansion is also cheaper than her former property. While the Malibu estate is worth close to $12 million and rents for $95,000 per month, the Hidden Hills residence is listed at a price of $6,895,000, renting at monthly rate of $30,000. And the Oscar winner isn’t the only famous person in the gated neighborhood. Her address is nearly a mile and a half away from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

The new place should make her children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8 — feel right at home.

That interior design looks like a ‘90s goth nightmare, but I’m pretty sure someone (possibly Denise) revamped the interior at some point. Which is too bad, because I bet Angelina would have liked some ‘90s goth interior design. Anyway, I think it’s interesting that Angelina bolted once again and this time she’s way out in Calabasas with the Kardashians. The Kardashians actually live in a gated community, and I bet that’s what attracted Angelina to a rental in that area: it’s more secure, the paparazzi will have less access and there will be fewer people noting her comings and goings.

PS… Angelina’s shoe game is worse than Duchess Kate’s. Someone needed to say it!

Kim Kardashian’s is famous, at least partially, because she’s really “good” at social media. We can argue about what came first, the chicken or the sex tape, but Kim was able to stoke interest in her life and promote herself extensively because of social media. Much like her E! reality show, it’s not that Kim “reveals all” on social media, but she does interact with fans and give a certain degree of accessibility online. This, according to self-proclaimed security experts, was her undoing. This is the “reason” why she was assaulted and robbed: because she was on social media, because she flaunted her wealth online. While I think that rationale is a bunch of crap, it also doesn’t surprise me that sources close to Kim say that she’s re-evaluating her business-as-usual online and in life.

Things are going to change for one of America’s most famous families after Kim Kardashian West‘s terrifying ordeal. A source tells PEOPLE the entire Kardashian-Jenner family “is cutting down on all public appearances for the time being” after Kardashian West, 35, was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning in Paris.

“This scared everyone,” says the source. “They’re not taking chances …. It was a really scary situation for the entire family and it’s just not worth it to put themselves out there unnecessarily right now.” Another insider tells PEOPLE the star plans on upping her security significantly. “[She will have] a much heavier security team,” says the source. “There will be a focus on security personal who aren’t in traditional clothing. There will be a lot more undercover security.”

And Kardashian West isn’t just going to scale back on public appearances — she’s also likely to pare down her public presence in general, particularly in the way that she approaches social media.

“When something like this happens everything changes,” says the source. “Everything will change. It changes the whole family — how and where they travel. [Kim] will reassess traveling for work and feeling safe.”

The source says the star “has been spending all her time with kids and Kanye” and is trying to keep things “as normal as possible.”

“She’s not ready to talk about anything other than being with family, says the source, who says Kardashian West is “very emotional. She’s barely slept. She’s had no anxiety medication or alcoholic drinks as she doesn’t do any of that stuff. She’s just got comfort from being around her kids and friends. Her best friends rushed to her side yesterday: Jonathan Cheban, Simon Huck and La La Anthony. They have been her rocks and spent the day with her yesterday.”

It’s true, Kim has never been much of a drinker or drug-taker. It wouldn’t surprise me if some doctor does prescribe something for her in the anti-anxiety or sleeping-pill variety, because she really does sound like she’s still really freaked out. While I know she’ll take more precautions and of course she’ll have more security around her family, I also think that her best revenge might be to just live her life the same way she’s been living it. It’s like an act of localized terrorism: don’t give in, don’t change, because then the armed assailants “win” somehow.
