ACZONE Gel, 7.5% Launch In NYC

These are photos of Kate Bosworth in New York on June 3rd. She was at the launch of an acne treatment, where she was quite overdressed in a pink gown, and out casually dressed in bell bottoms, fug patent flats, and a sleeves striped scoop neck sweater. Self Magazine spoke to Kate at the skincare event about her diet and exercise regime because that’s their subject matter and no one wants to hear what she thinks about fashion. Kate said that she’s on an 80/20 diet, similar to the diets that Gisele Bundchen and Olivia Munn follow, in that she eats a very restrictive diet 80% of the time with indulgences the other 20%. She said that she doesn’t eat wheat, dairy or sugar most of the time but does make allowances when she’s on vacation. I would assume that she eats a very calorie restricted diet regardless, just because she’s so small. She doesn’t look as thin as we’ve seen her in the past though and she does seem healthier overall.

“One day in my mid-20s it hit me that I can’t have a burger for lunch. I’m going to fall asleep,” she said in a recent one-on-one interview with SELF during the launch of Aczone Gel 7.5 percent, a topical acne treatment.

So what’s in her fridge to keep her going through the post-lunch slump? Bosworth stocks up on lean meat, fruits, avocados, walnuts, eggs, and olive oil—ingredients packed with healthy fats. And while she’s filming The Art of More, she is following a wheat-free, sugar-free, dairy-free meal plan (except for goat cheese and goat milk). For Bosworth, a typical breakfast might include a goat cheese omelet with avocado and tomatoes. But of course, the 33-year-old actress has that one thing she could never cut out. “Ketchup is the indulgence that I never give up. Ketchup on everything,” she said.

Bosworth knows that although this diet is delicious, it’s a bit strict. And she revealed that she only eats this way 80 percent of the time. When she goes to Montana to spend time with her husband Michael Polish, it’s a totally different story. She’s drinking whiskey, chowing down on burgers, and cooking ragu in between riding horses and swimming.

So you could say that her healthy living plan subscribes to the “all things in moderation” adage. And that’s her same philosophy when it comes to exercise. “I had a hard time with my exercise routine because I felt like it had to be an hour, and it had to be really rigorous and intense,” she said. “Then, I realized you can go down and get on the treadmill for 20 minutes, and you’ve done something.” And something is always better than nothing!

[From Self]

I have the same question I had about Olivia Munn’s 80/20 diet, how do you count that exactly? Do you just eat well 8 days out of 10 or is it only a rough estimate? In terms of burgers making you tired, on Saturday I actually had a burger for lunch and noticed that I got very sleepy afterwards. (I do eat burgers but only once every couple of weeks and for dinner, so my body wasn’t used to it.) I also can relate to pushing yourself too hard while exercising, just because I don’t feel like I accomplish anything if I don’t work hard for an hour or more. As one of my spin instructors says however, abs are made in the kitchen. It looks like Kate’s kitchen is very regimented. I hate this idea that you have to give up entire food groups to lose weight or keep it off though, it makes a lot of people think it’s impossible.

I never expected this to turn into a multi-post saga, by the way. I thought Tony Visconti popped off unfairly, and that it would come to nothing, that Adele would ignore him and that would be it. I wasn’t expecting this. To recap, Toni Visconti is a producer responsible for many of David Bowie’s most iconic albums. Visconti is also part of a new reality show competition called Guitar Star. To promote the show, Visconti chatted with the UK’s Daily Star and said:

“You turn the radio on and it’s fluff, you are listening to 90% computerised voices. We know Adele has a great voice but it’s even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated. We don’t know. There’s a sound to pop now that is so perfect it’s boring, because everything is fixed.”

As we discussed last week and again on Monday, I took his comments one way and other people took his comments a different way. He left room for different interpretations, and I personally believe that Adele was one of the crappier examples to use if you’re talking about autotuning and voice manipulation (remarkably, a great example of voice manipulation would probably be DAVID BOWIE). Adele didn’t appreciate what Visconti said either, and in the middle of one of her concerts, she told him to suck her D. So now Visconti has responded to Adele. Billboard got the exclusive and they’re saying it’s his “apology.” Let’s see if you agree with Billboard.

“I’m sorry that what I said in regards to what’s being played on radio was misconstrued yet I cannot apologize for something taken the wrong way. If Adele has taken my comments as offensive that was certainly not my intent…Adele has a great voice and it brings pleasure to millions.”

[From Billboard]

Is this an apology? Yeah, not so much. I read this as terse and shady. He’s sorry… that some people “misconstrued” his words. He’s sorry that Adele is offended. He’s also sorry, I fear, that Adele has millions of fans. Again: “it’s even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated.” Maybe try to apologize for that?

Johnny Depp has been “recuperating on his private island” for about a week now. The Hollywood Vampires’ European tour was over last week, and Depp flew to the private island he bought, years ago, for himself and his family. A source told People Magazine that:

“Johnny is doing okay. He likes retreating to his private island whenever he can. He hasn’t been there for a while, and really seems happy being there now… He wants to see his kids, but otherwise he isn’t looking forward to returning [to L.A.]. He doesn’t seem too worried about court though. He has an excellent lawyer who is taking care of things.”

[From People]

Yeah, I’m so glad we got this important update on how HE feels. People Mag also says that Depp is due back in LA tomorrow, Wednesday, in time for Friday’s restraining order hearing and court appearance. So, we’ve established that Depp is away from LA… so why were his friends removing a bunch of stuff from the apartment Depp once shared with Amber? Yesterday afternoon/evening, Depp’s people began removing items from the LA apartment and Amber Heard’s people called the police. While Depp had permission, from the temporary restraining order, to have some of his items removed, there is some question whether these items fall into that description.

Amber Heard’s camp just called the police … claiming Johnny Depp’s people are taking items from his downtown L.A. home in violation of the restraining order she has against him. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … LAPD officers are responding to a possible violation of a court order. Johnny was ordered to stay 100 yards away from his home with Amber when she got the temporary restraining order.

Sources connected to the former couple tell us Johnny himself is not there, but his people are removing things from the walls and taking furniture out of the home. Part of the restraining order includes a “move-out order” … which allows Depp to take personal clothing and belongings needed until Friday’s hearing. Amber’s camp believes his people are overreaching, especially because Johnny is in the Bahamas right now. The insinuation is clear … why the urgency? Sources close to Depp confirm his team is taking “personal items” and they believe it’s within the scope of what the order allows.

[From TMZ]

Amber was apparently not home either – she’s probably in London, or en route to London right now for her Aquaman/Justice League fittings. Apparently, Depp’s people really were trying to take furniture and bigger items from the apartment but the police officers made them put everything back?

And finally, Amber’s lawyers have just filed new paperwork withdrawing Amber’s request for temporary spousal support. Amber doesn’t want to deal with the money side of things at Friday’s hearing, she just wants to deal with the restraining order alone, and deal with spousal support at a later date, probably through the divorce settlement negotiations. Sources tell TMZ that Amber only requested spousal support because she “thought it was standard operating procedure in a divorce case, but now feels Depp’s team is twisting it in the media. In the docs, she says it’s being ‘used against me to distract and divert the public away from the very serious real issue of domestic violence.’” That’s a really smart move, I think.

RED HEELS!!!!!!

Duchess Kate is wearing red heels! No wedges of doom. No nude pumps. No beige stilettos. She’s wearing honest-to-God red heels! And they’re good, aren’t they? I also have to say, I’ve always had a great deal of affection for Kate in red. She wears a lot of blue, probably because she A) thinks blue is her signature color and B) wants everything to match Big Blue, her sapphire engagement ring. But red looks amazing on her and she wears it too infrequently.

These photos are from yesterday’s Order of the Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle, William and Kate’s fourth public outing in as many days. Kate’s Catherine Walker dress and coat were repeats, but I actually didn’t remember them. She wore this ensemble for the first time in 2011, during her first royal tour to Canada. She actually styled it differently this time too – she wore her hair back and she wore a rather fancy hat. She accessorized with the same diamond drop earrings that she wore for her wedding (purchased as a gift by her parents), a silver pendant (which she has been wearing a lot lately) and an Art Deco-ish bracelet, which we’ve seen before. I’m totally fine with the whole look. And I’ll say again: she should seriously consider adding more red pieces to her wardrobe. And just say no to nude heels!

Meanwhile, Vanity Fair reports that William and Kate will be stopping by the Royal Ascot this week “much to the Queen’s delight.”

After a spectacular turn out for the Queen’s 90th birthday over the weekend, the royals will be out in full force again this week to celebrate Royal Ascot. Royal Watch has learned that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will make their debut at the annual race meet/high-society outing in Berkshire, much to the Queen’s delight. In the past, William and Kate have always turned down offers to join the Queen and her guests in the Royal Enclosure, but this year they are turning out as a birthday surprise for the Queen, who has attended every Royal Meeting at the Ascot during her reign.

“They know how much Ascot means to the Queen and they will be there for one day this week,” says a source about the event, which commences Tuesday. “They will enjoy an afternoon in the royal box with Her Majesty.”

[From Vanity Fair]

What’s interesting to me is that the Queen has requested their presence apparently multiple times over the past five years and they were always too “busy,” I suppose? I always imagined that when the Queen asks you to go somewhere, it’s not a request, it’s an order. However will William and Kate recuperate from this harried work schedule? I mean, they’ll be doing five events in one week! That’s a lot of keen-ness.

I always find it bizarre when someone’s haircut becomes HUGE news. But it happened last Friday when Kendall Jenner previewed a “radical” haircut on her Snapchat. Kendall is somewhat famous for her long hair, and I actually think her long hair suits her. It gives her that ‘70s vibe, a vintage Ali McGraw vibe. But Kendall’s new haircut isn’t a crazy change. It looks like she just went for a blunt shoulder-length cut, and I bet her hair has more body and fullness now. These photos, of Kendall in that pukey mustard ensemble, are from Saturday – she and Kanye went to a fashion show in LA.

Still, no one knew why Kendall cut off her famously long hair. Was it a spur of the moment decision? Was it a break-up lob? Who cut her hair? Well, according to Us Weekly, Kendall chose to cut her hair for one of the best reasons ever: Anna Wintour wanted her to. Because Kendall is the cover girl for Vogue’s September issue!

For a most fashionable cause! Kendall Jenner debuted a short haircut via Snapchat on Friday, June 10, and according to an Us Weekly source, the cut was for Vogue’s September issue. As seen in the Snapchat photo, Jenner, 20, chopped her long, silky brunette tresses into a lob style. While most of her sisters consistently change their hairstyles, especially Kim, Khloé and Kylie, Jenner has maintained the same layered ‘do since the start of her modeling career.

But it all changed when Vogue called! A source on the set of Jenner’s shoot tells Us Weekly that the top makeup artists, hairstylists and photographers were brought in and told that they were styling the model for the cover of the fashion bible’s famed September issue. Us Weekly contacted a rep for Vogue, who stayed mum on the issue. “We never comment on rumors of future editorial,” the spokesperson said.

If Jenner does appear on the September issue, it would mark her first cover for the magazine. She has appeared in numerous fashion spreads inside the magazine. She also landed the cover of a special-edition minimagazine for Vogue in April, for which she posed in a polka-dot bikini.

[From Us Weekly]

Yes, Wintour has allowed both Jenner sisters to model inside Vogue, but so far only Kim Kardashian has gotten an American Vogue cover. And I’ve actually been wondering if Kim isn’t “due” for another American Vogue cover. Like, every month around this time, I start wondering, “Is this the month for her second cover?” But probably not if Wintour is giving Kendall the September cover, the most prestigious issue of the year. Will Kendall’s September cover cause the same kind of drama as Kim’s cover? Hm.

Kim Zolciak Celebrates Her 37th Birthday

Embed from Getty Images

I don’t think anyone watches any of the Real Housewife shows to get parenting tips, and if you ever thought any of those ladies would make good maternal role models, you might want to think again. Former Real Housewife of Atlanta Kim Zolciak recently posted a video to Snapchat of her 14-year-old daughter, Ariana, wearing the family dog’s shock collar. What? Why?

Apparently, Ariana offered to wear – and get zapped by – an electronic dog collar in exchange for being able to go out with her friends. Kim, who recently celebrated her 37th birthday (again?), called her daughter “crazy” while she put on the collar. Ariana said “I really like this” and before Kim’s husband Kroy Biermann gave her a jolt, you could hear him say to her, “But you can’t cry.” Sounds like something straight out of “Jackass”, doesn’t it? Only it’s not in the least bit amusing.

Kim continued her running commentary through the clip, saying, “You like getting shocked, you psycho? You two are not right,” She later added, “Are you guys idiots?! Who does this? These two are not right, I’m not even playing.” Oh, and Kim did offer an alternate to wearing the dog collar, helpfully offering Ariana the option to “Eat poop.” Yep, mother of the year. What an odd household. It’s no wonder Ariana has already expressed her interest in being emancipated and living with her sister. Check out the video from Entertainment Tonight.

Of course, the outrage was swift. A Real Housewife fan tweeted, “Sometimes in life you have to just not post things on social media. My word just sad that she posted what she did.” One person who was more surprised than outraged was Kim’s older daughter, Brielle, who jokingly questioned her sister’s sanity, writing, “Ariana what is wrong with you?”

— brielle biermann (@BrielleZolciak) June 10, 2016

As much as I think the while thing is dumb, it’s not like Kim forced her daughter to wear the thing – but her decision to post it to Snapchat might not have been the best idea. Kim told ET she liked the social media networks the best, as people can’t talk back and make comments about her posts, claiming “Snapchat is my newfound love.” As for her haters, Kim shrugs them off with a dismissive, “if you don’t like it, don’t look at my page.” Ugh.

FFN_STOI_Bieber_Justin_052716_52074508

Last week, Justin Bieber made the unwise decision to enter into a street fight with Cleveland resident Lamont Richmond. Fighting on its own is generally not a good idea but to throw a punch at someone who towers over you is ill-advised at best. Now that more information is coming out about the incident, Bieber’s actions are becoming even more suspect. According to Lamont, the whole thing started over a request for an autograph and Bieber mouthing off before throwing a punch. To add insult to injury, Bieber felt the best response were some smart a** comments on social media.

Justin Bieber has made fun of himself for trying to take on a large fan after watching game three of the NBA Finals in Cleveland, Ohio, on Wednesday.

During a short clip posted to Instagram on Saturday, the 22-year-old pop star brings up violence as he talks to a pal in the back seat of a car: ‘Is that a fighting video? Because fighting’s not cool.’

His pal, looking like a street smart fellow with a dose of common sense, then added, ‘That’s why you don’t take on 6ft5in guys.’ Justin then looks at the camera and smirks.

This isn’t the first time Justin has reacted to the fight.

The day after the battle the singer took a cocky stance by posting a black-and-white pinup image with the caption: ‘Not a scratch on this pretty boy.’ Soon after he took down the post as followers did not react well to the attitude he was taking, with some even telling him he was not pretty.

According to Cleveland native Lamont Richmond – as reported by TMZ – things escalated when the fan asked Justin for an autograph for his girlfriends, while running into the star outside of the Westin hotel.

The group had reportedly chatted for a few minutes with no issue, before Lamont asked for the autographs/photos, after which Justin allegedly said: ‘no autographs tonight, motherf***er.’

A shoving match ensued and Justin threw a flurry of punches as the confrontation devolved into a brawl before the pair were restrained.

Lamont explained his side of things in a short video posted to Facebook, sharing: ‘I was with the girls. We just asked the d*** for an autograph.’

However his version of events seems to have been contradicted by a photo showing Justin posing with a female fan outside the hotel moments before the fight.

Lamont said that the star smelled of alcohol, and was certain he could have ‘killed’ the 5ft9in singer if had gone ‘full force.’ He also said that he has since met with a lawyer, and plans to sue the pop star.

[From Daily Mail]

No, Bieber, fighting is not cool and neither are your precious little asides on the matter. I know he feels like a caged animal and all, but I think he owes the fans who have shelled out money for his Purpose tour a proper explanation and not these cryptic little missives on Snapchat. Why is he punching people asking for an autograph after taking photos with fans minutes before? You can see the video of Lamont’s statement here. He’s angry; Bieber should lawyer up.

Apparently, since the scuffle, Bieber has been taking a series of “sad selfies”. Is this a ploy garner sympathy? If he wants me to feel sorry for him, he needs to stop acting like a d***. The more I read about Bieber, the more I feel he is burnt out. According to Entertainment Tonight, those around Bieber are keeping a close eye on him as there is some concern for his erratic behavior. I hope this is true because it doesn’t always seem like his “people” have his best interests at heart.

Joel McHale has that sitcom coming up this fall on CBS, The Great Indoors, which I hope does well for him. It doesn’t look promising from the preview, but I’ll watch a couple of episodes and give it a chance. McHale was also a guest host on Live with Kelly last week, where he was so funny and sarcastic. At one point he riled up the audience by claiming they had all won Hamilton tickets, which was so not true, and he kept joking that Gelman, the show’s producer, was getting antsy because he wasn’t following the format. You can tell he’s not going to become Kelly’s plus one, but if he was I would watch it every day just to see what he would do.

Joel has a new interview with People about his family life, particularly his two boys aged 8 and 11. He also shared a photo of them on Live. Judging from the interview they inherited their dad’s sense of humor as they demanded cash to pose for the photo. I have an 11 year-old son and I could relate so much to this.

“How have my children changed my life? I don’t have that Lamborghini Diablo because of all the money I’ve spent on them,” McHale tells PEOPLE of sons Eddie, 11 and Isaac, 8. “Instead of wiping one, I now wipe three butts. But that’s happening less and less now.”

McHale, star of the upcoming CBS sitcom The Great Indoors, admits that even though having kids takes up all your free time, he wouldn’t want to spend it any other way.

“When we’re in New York and just walking with them, I feel so happy,” he says. “Like, these are my boys, I’m walking down the street with my boys. That makes me proud. Then a TMZ reporter will come over, shove a microphone in my face, and then Eddie will go, ‘Do you know this guy?’ and then the reporter will leave and Isaac will go [mimics extreme sarcasm voice], ‘Oooo, is that one of your fans? Do they want your photo?’ They are as sarcastic as I am which is terrifying.”

The former Community star, who will release a memoir Thanks for the Money in the fall, reveals that while his kids inherited their good looks and hair from their mother, they have developed a fine talent for bargaining and negotiating.

“They literally negotiated for this shoot,” McHale says of asking his sons to participate in the PEOPLE Father’s Day photo shoot. “I said, ‘You want to do this shoot? We’re going to have a pillow fight for a photo shoot.’ And the older one was like, ‘Yeah, if I get paid.’ And then we negotiated down to $125 a piece.”

(Writer’s note: PEOPLE asked McHale’s son Eddie what he likes most about his dad. The answer: “That he gives us money,” so this particular theme rings true. McHale jokes that he offered his boys more money to answer PEOPLE’s questions.)

[From People]

This is typical for kids around that age. I promised my son I wouldn’t talk about him much on the site, but so much of what his kids said and did was familiar to me. That’s all I’m saying! That’s excellent that McHale has a memoir coming out this fall. I’m really looking forward to it. It sounds like the title, Thanks for The Money, was inspired by his boys.

Also, McHale got papped out in New York! I can’t tell you how happy Joel McHale paparazzi pics make me.
