It’s been months since we’ve seen loved-up paparazzi photos of Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. As I always say, the photos dried up quite coincidentally after a Washington Post article calling them the “world’s first pandemic celebrities.” They’ve been off working on projects, sometimes together. Well now we get to witness them again thanks to a very “lucky” photographer who just happened to be there when now-skinny Ben was smoking on a balcony in New Orleans, kissing Ana the whole time. That’s so gross I could not date a smoker, not to mention someone who was smoking WHILE I was kissing them. I guess love is noseblind too. I might say that they were filming a scene together but People specifies that this photo was taken while they were taking a break. Oh and Ana had a ring on her left hand that looked super suspicious, but People, which was featuring this photo of them on top of their site on Sunday, points out that it’s a prop ring for the film she’s working on. She couldn’t be bothered to take it off, huh.

While Affleck, 48, and de Armas, 32, took a break this week from doing reshoots for their new psychological thriller Deep Water, photographers captured the pair, who had not been spotted together in several weeks, sharing a kiss on a balcony.

In one image, de Armas sat on the balcony’s railing as she held up her left hand, showing what appeared to be a diamond ring on her left ring finger, while Affleck smiled at her lovingly.

One source tells PEOPLE that the ring is simply a piece of costume jewelry from the movie the couple is currently filming together, in which they play a married couple.

PEOPLE has reached out to Affleck and de Armas’ reps for comment.

As People mentioned, Ben and Ana are in New Orleans to do reshoots for Deep Water, where they first met on set over a year ago. What does that say about this film that it wrapped a year ago and now they’re doing reshoots? Is Deep Water going to be Ben and Ana’s Gigli? It’s directed by Adrian Lyne (Indecent Proposal, Fatal Attraction, Flashdance, Unfaithful) so it could be amazing or it could be a stinker. It’s based on an original novel by Patricia Highsmith and the screenwriter who adapted it, Zach Helm, does not have a lot of credits so we’ll see. There’s your Afflarmas update, they seem to be doing fine. Will they last until this movie comes out next year?

We don’t have the kissing photos which you can see at People above, but we do have these photos of Ben and Ana leaving their hotel in New Orleans. Look at Ben’s tiny mask! What the hell? At least Ana is taking mask-wearing seriously now. It took her a while.

Dear Gossips, Are you starting to get used to award shows without an audience? Is it becoming more and more “normal” to you? What is it that they say about how long it takes to form a habit? Because while there may be positive news about vaccines, I’m not sure that all that will be rolled out in a, …

Britain's Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (R) and Britain's Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, host a reception to officially open the 2018 Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference at St James' Palace in London on October 10, 2018. - The 2018 Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference is the fourth such international conference bringing together heads of state, ministers and officials from nearly 80 countries, alongside NGOs, academics and businesses, to build on previous efforts to tackle this lucrative criminal trade. The conference is being hosted by the UK Government from 11th – 12th October 2018.

Last week, we discussed the investigation into Princess Diana’s interview with Martin Bashir, which happened in 1995. This year is the 25th anniversary of the interview, and there have been thinkpieces and documentaries about that iconic interview for a while. A recent documentary exposed the lengths to which Bashir went to secure the interview, which almost definitely involved fraud and falsifying documents which amounted to blackmailing the Earl Spencer (Diana’s brother Charles) and Diana herself. Which, as everyone points out, was kind of unnecessary because Diana actually did want to talk and give her side of things. Anyway, investigations have been launched and last week, Prince William issued a rare on-the-record statement saying that he backs the investigation into Bashir’s tactics. There were stories around that about “why is only William issuing a statement” and “where is Harry is all of this.” Now Harry is basically confirming that he too backs the investigation:

Prince Harry fears people are using the Martin Bashir scandal to try and “drive a wedge” between him and Prince William — by suggesting that Harry’s leaving his brother to face it alone. This week, it was revealed that William has been in touch with the BBC after the British broadcaster launched an independent probe into Bashir’s famed 1995 interview, where Bashir allegedly duped the princess into sitting down with him.

Reports have suggested that Harry’s taking a back seat — but we’re told that while William and Harry are not in constant communication, they remain united on their bid to get to the truth about the explosive interview. A source close to Harry — now living in Montecito, CA, with wife Meghan Markle and baby son Archie — told us: “Harry is getting regular updates and is aware of everything that is happening.”

They added that while William has made a public statement about the claims, “You do not need a public statement [from Harry] to imagine how he is feeling privately. People know how much his mother means to him. Sadly, some people are not just seeing this as a drive for truth, but also trying to use this as an opportunity to try to drive a wedge between the brothers,” said the source.

Diana’s furious best friend Rosa Monckton told ITV this week: “For [William] and for Kensington Palace to issue a statement I think shows how deeply involved he has become in this story and about how his mother was treated … I know people are saying she would have done an interview anyway, but she hadn’t and she didn’t … she always said no. There is no doubt in my mind at all [that] Mr. Bashir had persuaded her that she was doing a good thing, that everybody was conspiring against her … And she took it all in. She was vulnerable. It was a disgusting and disgraceful thing to do.”

[From Page Six]

I didn’t mock William’s statement and I think Harry has every right to back the investigation as well. I’m not stanning Bashir in the least – he was always a shady, slimy character and there was never any doubt that he heavily manipulated Diana, and probably a lot worse. That being said, there’s a ton of revisionist history all the way around this, mostly from the Earl Spencer. The Earl is making it sound like Bashir alone convinced Diana that she was being spied on, that she couldn’t trust anyone, that there would be bigger exposures if she didn’t speak. I have no doubt that Bashir did his part in convincing Diana of all of that, but let’s be clear about a lot of this: Diana was paranoid about people watching her and plotting against her long before Bashir came around, and she wasn’t wrong to be paranoid. They were watching her. They were plotting against her. I’ve always felt that neither William or Harry even know half of what Diana went through. Are they now at an age where they’re open to finding out?

A post shared by Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (@kensingtonroyal)

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were first married in 2011, it was said that they knew they wanted to wait a few years before starting a family. So one of the first things they did was get a dog, a cocker spaniel puppy from a Middleton family connection (James Middleton has several cocker spaniels). The puppy was all-black and they named him Lupo. Lupo was a good companion for Will and Kate, and once Prince George came, it seemed like George looked at Lupo as his best friend. Lupo went from “prominently featured in family photos” to “largely forgotten amid three young children.” But he was a good dog and lived a good life. And now he has passed away.

I feel like nine years old is pretty young for a dog to pass away. No one is saying much about the circumstances, so I guess it was a natural death. I’m also assuming that Lupo spent most of his time at Anmer Hall, out in the country, where he could run and play with his kids. I’m super-sad about this! I always wondered why the Cambridges didn’t get additional animals too. Now I wonder if they have the heart to start over with a new puppy at some point (not right now, but maybe next spring).

I went to bed after an hour of the American Music Awards so I missed Jennifer Lopez and Maluma’s performance of “Pa’ Ti,” their new song which is apparently featured in Jennifer’s new movie Marry Me. There was apparently a BIG conversation happening on Twitter, where Jennifer was accused of “stealing” the entire performance concept from Beyonce’s 2014 Grammy performance of “Drunk In Love.” Considering how often Beyonce, uh, homages though… people were also pointing out that Beyonce’s 2014 performance was sort of a rip-off of Bob Fosse’s stage direction of Chicago. So there you go! I mean, J.Lo did copy Beyonce. But Beyonce heavily homaged some stuff too.

Jennifer wore Balmain to the “red carpet” and it looked like she was homaging Kim Kardashian!

Giuliani Press Conference at RNC Headquarters

Intro: Minutes 0 to 3
We’re both having aches from sleeping weird. We’ll be taking off next week for Thanksgiving and will be back on December 6th. We’ll also be taking off the two weeks after Christmas, on December 27th and January 3rd. You can listen below!

The Crown and The Royals: Minutes 3:00 to 19:45
I’ve been watching The Crown and have seen the first four episodes of season four. I’d only watched a couple of episodes of the first season before. Chandra watched season one and two. I love the costuming, settings and how trashy it is. We talk about how unrealistic the dialogue can be, but we love it. Chandra says they’re getting the broad strokes right about the royals.

Minute 7:00: After season four of The Crown dropped there were so many stories discrediting it. You could tell the palace was freaking out. The royal commentators bashed The Sussexes for making a deal with Netflix, just because The Crown is on Netflix. There are so many shows on Netflix and Prince William worked to promote David Attenborough’s Netflix series, which no one mentions.

We also heard that Prince William was enraged “at the way his parents are being ‘exploited’ and ‘presented in a false, simplistic way to make money.’”

Chandra says it sounds like Clarence House issued talking points for royal reporters to defend Prince Charles. They’re all denying that Mountbatten sent Charles a letter, but he did tell Charles to stop messing around and get married. There are also stories that Charles and Camilla stopped seeing each other when Charles married Diana. Camilla did try to befriend Diana as shown on The Crown, but as Chandra mentions she came at it from an aristocrat’s position that all husbands cheat.

Minute 12:20: I play a segment from Zoom where we talk about The Crown. Sara has a personal story about Thatcher Thatcher Milk Snatcher and Zakia, Karen and Lisa talk about The Crown and the palace’s reaction to it. We agree with Lisa that the palace is reacting to The Crown like they did Finding Freedom. The Crown is blowing up 15 years of Charles’ positive PR.

There was an article in Vanity Fair that claimed that Camilla is a fan of The Crown, that she’s watched other seasons and would be watching this one with a glass of wine. It had an odd tone that was similar to what royals said about the show’s first two seasons. In that same article they quoted a royal biographer who half-blamed Diana for Charles cheating on her, it was outrageous. Chandra mentions this is the same false story they’ve told about Diana since the separation, that she’s “hysterical” and “crazy.”

Minute 17:30: There’s an investigation into Princess Diana’s 1995 interview with Martin Bashir. This is getting renewed interest due to a new ITV documentary called The Diana Interview: Revenge of a Princess. The documentary claims that Bashir blackmailed Diana into speaking with him by using fake bank statements. That doesn’t mean Diana didn’t want to talk to him. She planned that interview for maximum impact. Prince William has gone on the record to support the investigation.

Politics: Minute 19:45 to 29:45
I get Chandra to say my favorite new word she uses, ratf-cking. Rudy Giuliani gave a press conference in which his hair dye was dripping down his face and he tried to quote from My Cousin Vinny. He’s been making an ass out of himself trying to represent Trump in court. Here are links to some tweets Chandra mentions about Giuliani not understanding basic legal terms.

Trump is tweeting a bunch of ridiculous crap as usual and insiders claim there’s a “bunker mentality” in the White House.

Obama was on 60 Minutes to promote his new book. Chandra says he looks depressed about the state of the country and the fact that the Republicans are such fascists. I play a segment from Zoom where Karen, Angelina and Ameerah talk about the election and Trump’s ratf-cking. Their whole legal strategy is that votes in predominantly black counties don’t count. Republicans can no longer hide under a veneer of respectability. They’re just racists. I play another segment from Zoom where Ashley, Karen and Ameerah say that the only difference in the Republican party now is that they’re saying the quiet part out loud.

User Feedback: Minutes 29:45 to 32
Thanks Katrina and Jackie for your nice messages! Chandra explains the meaning of ratf-cker, which I didn’t realize was a political word, I thought it was just a creative swear.

Comments of the week: Minutes 32 to 35:30
My comment of the week is from Scarlett on the post about Nigella Lawson’s two part toast buttering process. Chandra wonders if Irish butter is better than regular butter.

Chandra’s comment of the week is from Josephine on the post about Rudy Giuliani representing Trump in court.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank leaving the wedding of Daisy Jenks and Charlie Van Straubenzee in Surrey

As we heard, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have apparently made an arrangement with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank regarding Frogmore Cottage. Harry and Meghan had overseen the complete renovation of Frogmore from decrepit little cottage to family home, and this year, they “paid back” the renovation money which came from the Sovereign Grant. Frogmore Cottage was given to the Sussexes in 2018 by the Queen, and it sits on the Windsor Castle estate, meaning it’s part of a public property (unlike Sandringham, which is privately owned by the Queen). So, while Harry & Meghan don’t technically “own” Frogmore Cottage, they paid for that sh-t and they were basically given a lifetime lease on it. It’s “theirs” to do with as they wish. I suggested, months ago, that it felt perfect for Frogmore to sit there, abandoned and growing dust, for months and years on end. But Harry and Meghan came up with an arrangement for Eugenie and Jack to live there. And apparently… H&M did not go through the Queen or the palace in any way.

Prince Harry and Meghan struck their Frogmore Cottage giveaway deal behind the backs of senior royals, sources claimed yesterday. The couple have formed a new “Fab Four” with Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank, who can now start their new family at the empty property.

It came after direct talks between the two couples, who have been great pals since Meghan first started dating Harry four years ago. Pregnant Eugenie, 34, and Jack, 30, are expected to “house-sit” into the New Year, when they are expecting their first child.

Harry and Meghan, who live in California, insist Frogmore Cottage remains their UK home.

But our exclusive story on their handover to Eugenie has sparked claims they could stay away for good. An insider said: “Senior royals were initially blindsided by the idea for Harry and Meg to let Eugenie and Jack move in. Obviously the Queen was told after the couples had spoken about the plan. But it is very much a deal done between Harry, Meghan, Eugenie and Jack. There is a close bond between them.”

Palace insiders say they are the new “Fab Four”, a term previously used to describe the Sussexes and William and Kate.

Harry paved the way for the deal in September after announcing they had paid back the £2.4million taxpayer bill for renovations to the Windsor cottage. A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Frogmore Cottage is the private residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and as such any arrangements are a matter for them.”

[From The Sun]

Several things about this are just too funny. One, Harry and Meghan working out the arrangement with Eugenie and Jack quietly, without checking in with anyone else… that’s just perfect. Because if the palace had known, they would have had a sh-t fit AND they would have milked it for some petty soap opera storylines. I’m sure Kensington Palace would have liked to use it as a storyline too – “Future King William bans brother from coming home, orders Harry to arrange for housesitters!” Two, the palace desperados trying to claim that the Sussexes and Brooksbanks are the new Fab Four. LMAO. What’s that? The royal-press machinery is already bored as hell with Willileaks and Cathy? Three, it’s hilarious to me that the courtiers rush to announce that they were “blindsided” by Harry and Meghan over anything and everything. Harry and Meg breathe and a courtier has to call up someone and announce that they were blindsided by H&M’s lung capacity.

A post shared by Gabrielle Union-Wade (@gabunion)

Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union honor their children’s personalities and support their identities. However, there are other celebrities who take issue with Dwayne and Gabrielle’s support of their children, particularly their support of their trans daughter Zaya. After it become public knowledge that Zaya, 13, was transitioning, people such as Boosie and Young Thug have been transphobic a-holes about Zaya.

Boosie Badazz and Young Thug’s comments prompted many celebrities to come out in support of Zaya, like Shea Diamond and Cardi B. Mike Tyson also defended Zaya. This summer Mike had Boosie on his podcast, Hotboxin with Mike Tyson. Tyson called out Boosie for comments about Zaya. Boosie tried to defend himself but Mike shut him down. Dwayne recently did an interview with Central Ave. Here’s what Dwayne had to say about his conversation with Mike thanking him for his support and the people who feel it is ok to attack Zaya:

“I actually talked to Mike about that early in the pandemic,” the former pro basketball player said. “We had a conversation. I appreciated from a standpoint of, you know, Mike is someone who has never tried to be perfect. He is someone who has learned from this journey of life.”

“He’s so smart. He is so educated and knowledgeable about life,” Wade, 38, continued. “For him to be able to drop that nugget on the world, to me, it was great to hear him say that.”

Tyson called out Boosie during an episode of his Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson podcast for making transphobic comments regarding Zaya earlier this summer. “I really commented on the Dwyane Wade situation because I got offended because it’s a child,” Boosie tried to explain. “That’s really why I got offended.”

Boosie continued and attempted to defend himself, with Tyson eventually asking him, “What happened to you that you think that you’re somebody that can comment on somebody’s life?”

“I’ve never came out and said anything to anybody that feels a certain way about me or someone else in my family and my loved ones,” he said. “They don’t know us. They don’t know our heart. They definitely don’t know Zaya. So, all I do is what my mama say, ‘Just pray for them.’ ”

[From People]

Keeping it one hundred, I have no idea who the hell Boosie B is and I am happy for it. These rappers who operate from a place of misogyny and transphobia need to take several seats. It warms my cold black heart that Mike Tyson, MIKE TYSON, of all people came out in support of Zaya, Dwayne, and Gabrielle. That to me is a big deal. It would seem that Mike has grown a lot from his mistakes in life.

In my opinion, folks need to learn to mind their own business especially when it concerns a child. I admire Gabrielle and Dwayne for how they are embracing their children and giving them space to figure out life their way. This to me is the best sort of parenting. Dwayne could have easily shamed and bullied Zaya when she came out. Instead, being the amazing father that he is and after d much contemplation, Dwayne embraced and celebrated Zaya. Dwayne and Gabrielle went as far as reaching out to the trans-community for guidance. Dwayne has the right idea in praying for those who are transphobic and say horrible things about Zaya. However, I also agree with Mike Tyson, call them out. Leave no room for that sort of behavior.

Last night’s American Music Awards felt like such a throwback to the pre-Covid era. There were a number of artists on-site, performing live, with an in-person audience. Sure, the audience was limited to maybe dozens of masked people in the balcony area of the Microsoft Theater in LA, but still – it wasn’t actually the best look? The AMA producers claimed that they were doing advance testing and testing on-site during rehearsals, and there would be an abundance of masks backstage (and few masks on stage, as it turned out). All to put on a show which… honestly could have been done virtually the entire way through.

I watched about an hour of the show, and the performances were pretty good. I was STUNNED that producers put Megan Thee Stallion on in the first hour of the show, when (arguably) younger kids were watching – her performance was very sexy and booty-intensive, and sources claimed that ABC’s censors were “freaking out” in advance. Megan also won Best Song – Rap or Hip-Hop. No IDs on her two outfits but that slinky black bodysuit was working overtime, let me tell you.

A post shared by Olivia Culpo (@oliviaculpo)

In September, Olivia Culpo opened up about her battle with endometriosis. She had tried several different holistic treatments and wanted to raise awareness about endometriosis and its connection to infertility.

Last week, Olivia underwent surgery for her endometriosis. Olivia shared a photo from the hospital. She wrote that she had been misdiagnosed multiple times before finding out why she was having such terribly painful periods and that many doctors invalidated her experience. Olivia said that she will continue to use her platform to raise awareness about this invisible disease that also causes depression. Below is her caption to the Instagram story above.

esterday I had surgery for my endometriosis ?? Not a very glamorous post but I felt like I needed to share this to create more awareness around this disease. Endometriosis is a condition where tissue from the uterine lining decides to grow in other random parts of your body, causing pain. This can interfere with fertility and overall health and honestly – happiness. To top things off it is excruciatingly painful but nearly impossible to see through an ultrasound (unless you have endometrioma/chocolate cysts on your ovaries- that’s what I had). I have been in agony for years around my period and I was misdiagnosed countless times by doctors. “Just take Tylenol every day” “ultrasound looks normal,” “ I think you just need to rest more, periods are always uncomfortable for people,” etc. I know a lot of people out there in the Endo community are familiar with these diagnoses which is why I am so passionate about this. Painful periods are not normal!!!

I want to say thank you to @drvilasagar_endosurgeon and the amazing hospital staff at @atriumhealth who took care of me. You guys were literally angels to me and I am so grateful. To anyone out there who has endometriosis, I understand the depression, and overall loneliness that can occur with a condition that is so painful yet so hard to be interpreted by other people outside of the body. It’s hard when chronic pain is not validated and you don’t get an answer or understanding. To my Endo warriors, I will continue to spread more awareness around endometriosis so that your symptoms can be validated. You are not alone and you are so strong !!!!

[From Instagram]

I am so glad that Olivia is raising awareness around this order. When I was younger I would have excruciatingly painful periods as well. However, I was not suffering from endometriosis. I know a lot of women who do suffer from endometriosis, infertility and fibroids. It is encouraging that more celebrities are speaking about these disorders. Women need to know they are not alone.

I like that Olivia also shared her recovery story through her Instagram stories. She took pre and post surgery photos of her tummy, I assume to show that there is nothing to be afraid of as far as the procedure is concerned. I like that Olivia is using her platform to not only bring awareness to a disorder that 11% of women suffer from but also normalize the conversation around it. I believe that we should pull things that were once in the shadows into the light, and openly discuss those issues. I believe by doing so the more open our society becomes and the less people are isolated by fear and shame.
