Prince Harry met with KP Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal, and his wife Radhika Shakya today at Kensington Palace. Harry travelled to Nepal in 2016, meeting with survivors of the Nepal earthquakes and toured the restoration efforts in the country. He also visited the British Gurkha Camp in Pokhar…

Here are some photos from last night’s premiere of The Dead Don’t Die, Jim Jarmush’s latest film about zombies. It’s like an art-house zombie film with dry hipster humor. So it should be fun. Selena Gomez actually came out for the premiere, which is surprising because Selena doesn’t come out for a lot of stuff these days. She’s been taking time away from the celebrity life to focus on her mental health and physical health. Selena wore this $16K Celine minidress, which is so billowy, it actually makes me wonder if she’s been hiding a secret pregnancy. I think it’s just a loose, billowy dress though, no secret pregnancies.

At some point, Chloe Sevigny stopped dressing like an avant-garde It Girl and just started dressing in really ugly sh-t. This is a terrible mullet dress.

Vanessa Hudgens in a Vera Wang dress. This is appropriately glam-goth for an art-house zombie movie.

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga at 'A Star Is Born' press conference photocall

When Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga began promoting A Star Is Born late last summer, I remember doing the math on the preproduction and production of the film, and figuring out when Bradley just dove into the film. He directed ASIB and starred in it, of course, and most of the preproduction happened in Irina Shayk’s last trimester. Their daughter Lea was just a few weeks old, basically, when Bradley was away filming ASIB for months. And then the post production – editing, music, all of that. My point is that Bradley missed a lot of his daughter’s first months, and he probably wasn’t around to support Irina that much either. My point is that would put a strain on anyone’s relationship. So, obvious story is obvious:

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk were unable to repair their relationship after drifting apart.

“Bradley was emotionally absent during the long time filming A Star Is Born,” an entertainment source tells PEOPLE. “They tried to save the relationship but it had changed.”

Although Cooper, 44, and Shayk, 33, were having troubles, not many people knew, as they’ve always kept their romance out of the spotlight.

“Since Bradley and Irina have always been very private about their relationship few knew there was really for sure something going on,” the source adds.

Cooper had a big year in 2018 with the release of A Star Is Born, which was nominated for eight Academy Awards and marked his directorial debut. While attending the BAFTA awards earlier this year, where Cooper accepted the award for best original music, the actor and director thanked Shayk, who also made the trip across the pond, for “putting up with me” throughout the years-long creative process.

“Most of all I have to thank Irina, for putting up with me for all the music I was trying to make in our basement for a year,” he said. “Thank you very much. Thank you.”

[From People]

I believe it. I think Bradley is just an emotionally absent guy in relationships anyway, but he also gets absorbed in work easily, and at the expense of his personal life. I think Irina stuck with it because she thought he would come back and be emotionally present once he was done filming. And then maybe she stuck with it because she didn’t want to dump him right before the awards season. But the feeling I’m getting is that she was probably unhappy for a while, and she got out.

Also: for those ASIB Gaga-Cooper shippers out there… I mean, what can I say? I still don’t believe there was anything between them. Just because he was emotionally absent during ASIB doesn’t mean he was emotionally “present” for Gaga personally or sexually at any point.

Rihanna attends Fenty Beauty's 1-year anniversary at Sephora

Interview Magazine basically does seasonal issues now, and Rihanna is the cover girl for Interview’s Summer issue. You can see the cover package here – the photos by Pierre-Ange Carlotti are striking, but the real gem is the interview by Sarah Paulson. Paulson and Rihanna met and became good friends while working Ocean’s Eight. You could just tell from their promotional work together that they really got along. And Sarah brings out the funny side of Rihanna in this interview too, the way a good friend can. Some highlights:

Scheduling “personal time” in her calendar: “I never used to be this way. It’s only the last couple years that I started to realize that you need to make time for yourself, because your mental health depends on it. If you’re not happy, you’re not going to be happy even doing things that you love doing. It’d feel like a chore. I never want work to feel like a chore. My career is my purpose, and it should never feel like anything other than a happy place. I’ve made little things a big deal, like going for a walk or going to the grocery store. I got into a new relationship, and it matters to me. It was like, “I need to make time for this.” Just like I nurture my businesses, I need to nurture this as well. I’ll shut things down for two days, three days at a time. On my calendar we now have the infamous “P,” which means personal days. This is a new thing.

Whether she sleeps: “I don’t have a sleep pattern. I have sleep pockets. I fit it in when I can. That’s why I take those personal days so seriously. Because it’s like, “You had all of me. I gave you the answers.”

The biggest misconception about Rihanna: “People don’t know that I’m shy. [Paulson tells her she knew right away that she’s shy.] And you are good at reading someone’s character, because that’s what you do for a living. Your gift is that you would know the exhibited behavior of a shy person. Because I kind of pretend it’s not happening, people read me as being confident. But I’m so shy I don’t even want you to know I’m shy.

Whether she’s in love: “Of course I am.”

Whether she’ll get married: “Only god knows that, girl. We plan and god laughs, right?”

Whether she wants to be a mother: “More than anything in life.”

The first thing she does in the morning: “Pray. Unless I have to pee or something. I always want to start my day with a little devotion. I buy these devotion books and they’re dated, so you just pull up the date and that devotion is for that day. I’ve always been [a person of faith]. My first time praying and fasting was when I was 7 years old. I did that on my own, because I wanted to go to New York, and I knew that this was a sacrifice I had to make in order for god to make sure I could get there.

[From Interview]

So, she’s in love, she doesn’t have immediate plans to get married, and she wants kids. She’s also shy and a workaholic who only recently started making personal time a priority. I remember when Rihanna’s life seemed like a nonstop party – remember those days? When she would go down for Carnival and spend a month in a booze-and-marijuana haze on the beach? But that was years ago. Now she’s works, works, works. And loves and schedules private time. And describes herself as “shy.”

Martha Plimpton has always been one of the most righteous people in Hollywood/entertainment industry. She’s been a working actor almost all of her life, and sure, she’s spent time in LA, but her life is in New York, and she’s embraced the theater scene and everything else. She’s currently starring in Sweat, a play by Lynn Nottage, which recently transferred to London’s West End. Martha has been staying in London for several months by the sound of it, and she’s been viewing the current assault on American women with horror. Martha is a long-time advocate for reproductive freedom, and a few years back, she made headlines for talking about her abortions. She recently chatted with the Guardian about how she views Hollywood, how she views Trump’s America, and the assault on choice. Some highlights:

She’s not interested in Hollywood movies: “Hollywood movies have no appeal for me. I rarely even go to see one – and I’ll tell you why. There are about five women in all Hollywood movies for a period of about three years. Then you get a new crop of five women who are allowed to make movies for the next three years and so it goes on. And the men are allowed to age but not the women. TV is more diverse and interesting and so are independent films. I like films that are made in Britain and in Europe.

Looking back on her classic ‘80s tomboy roles: “It was a great time to be in movies because there were tomboys in films and those were the parts I used to get. But we don’t see tomboys on screen any more. American cinema doesn’t like women or girls who don’t fit a certain mould and that’s because movies aren’t being written or made by women. But there’s so much great content now on other platforms that Hollywood is quickly becoming irrelevant.

How she feels about the recent abortion-ban attempts: “Obviously, I am enraged. I am furious. I am terrified for the women of my country and the girls. Alabama’s not alone. We know their endgame is ultimately to have Roe v Wade struck down. We need to see the writing on the wall and recognise that Trump is an incredibly dangerous individual. My country is in the throes of something extremely serious and women are paying the price, as they always have.

Why she discussed her abortions: “I want to end the shaming that goes on around abortion and you can’t de-stigmatise something if you’re not willing to talk about it.

Whether she’ll relocate to England full-time now: “I have my UK residency now, so who knows? New York isn’t the city I grew up in any more. Even though I love my neighbourhood, my home and my friends, I feel alienated from my country. I know you guys are having similar problems here but I feel more optimistic about the future in the UK. Something tells me that sanity will prevail here. But in the States, I don’t know. I am feeling mournful about my country.

[From The Guardian]

I feel mournful about America too, but it’s probably even more profound in another country, when you’re on the outside looking in at the horror show of the Trump presidency and just how awful everything is now. No, that’s not true – it’s more awful being in America right now. “We need to see the writing on the wall and recognise that Trump is an incredibly dangerous individual.” I don’t understand why more people aren’t saying this now, and why they haven’t been saying this for the past three years. Or rather, people say it and then they move on and treat him like everybody else, like he’s not going to kill us all.

Wow, this is some vintage gossip. I feel so old, because I remember when this stuff happened the first time around. In 1989, Robin Givens and Mike Tyson got divorced. They had only been married for a year, but he was abusive and she walked away, and she began dating other men quickly, which irritated Tyson. In that same year, she had a fling with a then-up-and-coming actor named Brad Pitt. This was before Thelma and Louise, mind you, when Brad was just some struggling actor getting bit parts on TV shows. There were many rumors – later “confirmed” by Mike Tyson – that Tyson had confronted Brad and Robin, something like that. Tyson even claimed that he found Robin and Brad in bed together at one point, I guess? Well, Robin Givens was on Watch What Happens Live and she says that wasn’t the case at all:

Robin Givens is setting the record straight on her rumored affair with Brad Pitt. During her appearance on Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a fan asked Givens, 54, if the claims made by her ex-husband Mike Tyson regarding her relationship with Pitt, 55, were true. In his memoir Undisputed Truth, Tyson, 52, alleged that he once drove to Givens’ house and saw her in a car with Pitt in the driveway after they had split. Tyson also claimed he caught Givens and Pitt in bed together while they were still married.

“Pulling up in the driveway, that part is true,” Givens said. “I didn’t read the book, but I was told he says he caught us in bed, which never happened. Never, ever, ever happened.”

When asked to elaborate on why she and Pitt were in the car together, Givens said, “We were coming from like a screening or something.”

Pitt had guest-starred on her show Head of the Class in the late 1980s. Host Andy Cohen went on to question another claim Tyson made — that he startled Pitt when he approached them in the driveway. Cohen, 51, explained Tyson alleged that Pitt said, “Don’t hit me, don’t hit me.”

“No,” Givens said, adding, “Does that sound like Brad? I mean, Brad’s got some swag, you know what I mean?” Givens said.

[From People]

I sort of believe her. I think Tyson was obsessed with her and he was following her around, but I don’t think he would have confronted Brad. But I have to say, I remember when those rumors were going around the first time, and they weren’t all from Tyson’s book. That was basically one of Brad’s first tastes of the celebrity life, tabloid drama, all of that. And People Mag is basically implying that Robin denied that the affair with Brad took place – she is not. They definitely had a somewhat brief relationship. What she’s denying is that Mike “caught” them.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were back to work today in Keswick, Cumbria, which is part of the Lake District, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, I had no idea. Kate has some history in the area – according to People Magazine, the Middleton family used to take holidays in Cumbria and Kate spent chunks of her childhood “boulder hopping” and exploring. Today, the Cambridges had a busy schedule – they did a walkabout, then they joined in a local celebration for several groups including mountain rescue and mental-health first aide workers/volunteers. Then they went to shear some sheep (say that ten times fast) at a local farm. Agriculture and farming is very important to this community.

For today’s lowkey outing, Kate decided to forgo several costume changes for each event, and she just went casual for everything. She wore jeggings (sorry, she totally did though), her Chloe boots (which she’s worn before) and a £275 jacket by Taylor London, which I think is new-to-us. Kate has a few militaristic jackets like that, which look like faded combat fatigues, but this one looks different. You can guess what attracted her to this jacket: the giant f–king buttons. They’re everywhere. I have to laugh. Also: from what we can see of the ensemble under the jacket, it looks like she’s wearing some frilly high-collared blouse underneath the sweater. It’s too much.

Kate completed her look with a cute little ponytail. As I’ve said many times now, her ability to change up her look a bit more has improved a lot since Meghan came on the scene. If Kate attempted a casual-jeggings look five years ago, she would have paired it with big fluffy sausage curls and a full face of heavy, dark makeup. Kate’s makeup situation has improved so much over the past few years too.

Jonathan Van Ness is the grooming expert on Queer Eye. He is also the perennial fan favorite for those who watch the show. One of the reasons fans love him is because he lives every thought and emotion out loud. In addition to being emotive, Jonathan has a very feminine energy about him or, as Fran Tirado who interviewed Jonathan for Out said, “in addition to being very publically queer, you are very publically femme — like the femme-iest femme-femme femme.” Jonathan wears whatever he feels like and that includes dresses, skirts, heels and shawls. He will wear makeup when the mood strikes him and he always has beautifully painted and manicured nails. Because of his nail art love, Jonathan is partnering with essie nail polish with Pride-themed colors. In the Out interview, Jonathan discussed being non-binary and how he didn’t come to realize that was how he identified until they had a name for it.

So, are you feeling ready for Pride? I feel like I’m still catching up on sleep from last year’s Pride.
Totally — are we ever ready? I’m so ready for Pride. I love being able to celebrate it, and I love all the fun, but I also feel like Pride is a great opportunity for all of us to like, not only celebrate ourselves but also bring new people into the fold of allyship and into the fold of awareness — the people that were really excited to get away from when you moved out of your hometown — like, when you see them next or on Facebook, reach out and make some contact with folks that may not look the way you look, or act the way you act. Let people celebrate you that are maybe not in your community.

How do you feel about being a spokesperson for a brand that is predominantly marketed toward women?
It’s really cool! The older I get, the more I think that I’m nonbinary — I’m gender nonconforming. Like, some days I feel like a man, but then other days I feel like a woman. I don’t really — I think my energies are really all over the place. Any opportunity I have to break down stereotypes of the binary, I am down for it, I’m here for it. I think that a lot of times gender is used to separate and divide. It’s this social construct that I don’t really feel like I fit into the way I used to. I always used to think “Oh, I’m like a gay man,” but I think any way I can let little boys and little girls know that they can express themselves and they can like be — like, making iconic partnerships with brands like essie no matter now they present is really important and exciting.

I know you never came out, but did you ever have an “a-ha” moment of any kind where you realized your femme identity?
Growing up, I definitely put on every nail polish, every heel, every scarf — I definitely had my mom’s knock-off Hermès scarves in my hair and around my waist — those were my skirts, and I loved it.

But when I was really young, I had really femme-shamey, gender-shamey [comments] when I would dress like that. When I would play with those things, I knew it needed to be before the sun came up or after the sun came down, like, in the basement and it needed to be something I couldn’t wear to school — like when I would do it, it had to be behind closed doors. As an adult, I really busted out of that, but it didn’t occur to me that when I was doing dances in heels — but I didn’t really put that together with “gender nonconforming” or “nonbinary” or owning that as an identity until recent because I think I just thought that I loved skirts and heels and like a kind of Whole Foods Face.

Some days I’ll just wear like, little high tops and little short-shorts and a little croppy toppy. But then other days I’m like in a heel, and then other days I’m like in jeans and a sweatshirt, and then other times I’m in like jeans and a poncho. I just am either like gender-bendy or nonconform-y or nonbinary and somedays I feel like a boy and somedays I feel like a girl. I didn’t think I was allowed to be nonconforming or genderqueer or nonbinary — I was just always like “a gay man” because that’s just the label I thought I had to be.

Is the label of nonbinary one you’ve come into recently?
Well like, no. I just didn’t know what the name was. I’ve been wearing heels and wearing makeup and wearing skirts and stuff for a minute, honey. I just like didn’t know that that meant — that I had a title.

[From Out via Towleroad]

My family and I were discussing this over the weekend, about kids being allowed to identify who they are. My husband and I did not experience that growing up. You were straight until you got to college and then you were either straight or gay, like Jonathan said. Any child claiming otherwise would have been told it was a phase or they didn’t know what they were talking about. I can’t imagine what that was like for them. Thank god we’ve evolved as a society. Not just for the children, but for the adults like Jonathan who grew up with only the gay label to place upon himself. During the interview, Jonathan said that his femme-shaming came not only from the straight community but from the LGBTQ community as well. He noted that, “either it’s getting better, or I just don’t care as much.” I would argue it’s both. I think the more comfortable we grow with ourselves, the less we care about what others say about us, but I also think we’ve grown culturally to embrace the many facets of what makes up people.

I also really appreciated Jonathan’s first answer, about using Pride to invite new allies into the fold. I especially love his comment, “Let people celebrate you that are maybe not in your community.” I just love that.

Side-note: Jonathan’s Gay of Thrones is a treat you all deserve.
