The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Bristol, England for a day full of activities on Friday. It was snowing in Bristol hours before they even arrived, but they didn’t cancel anything, not even their “walkabout” upon their arrival. Judging from what the royal reporters said on Twitter, it sounds like they were only a little bit late because of the snow, but they still greeted people and did some kind of snowy, truncated walkabout and Meghan is on camera telling people to go inside and get warm and have a cup of tea.

For this day of events, Meghan dressed warmly for a change! I like to think that Prince Harry wouldn’t let her out of the house without her boots and a good coat. Meghan wore an Oscar de la Renta dress – which you really can’t see that well, but involves a horse print – and a vintage William coat. She looks warm, and I’m a little bit surprised that she decided to wear her hair down! She knew it was snowing! I wonder if a royal woman has ever done a pre-scheduled event in snowy, wintery conditions while wearing a warm wool hat, ear muffs and ten scarves. Anyway, from what I can see of the vintage coat, it’s cute? I like that she’s phasing in some vintage, but this looks like a lot of her stuff – a dark color, a simple silhouette, not covered in buttons.

Also: Meg’s skin is crazy!! In wintery, snowy conditions, my skin is dry AF and itchy, but look at her – she’s glowing. (She’s probably too warm because Harry made her wear a coat, lol.)

The Off Camera show released more of their interview with Dax Shepard. He continues to impress me with how open, honest and vulnerable he is. I haven’t listened to his podcast but I’ve heard that he’s wonderful at interviewing other celebrities. He definitely is self aware. On the last segment we covered from Off Camera, Dax opened up about his relationship with Kristen Stewart. In this new one, below, (there’s more and I’ve linked them too) Dax spoke about his sobriety, how he went to AA and had so many relapses, and how he probably hit rock bottom about a year before he finally got sober. He lost two to three days worth of time and had taken handfuls of pills and drank so much alcohol during his blackout. He easily could have died. A year later, when he was still using but was experiencing incredible success and had a million dollars in the bank, he realized that he was still a mess.

I’m embarrassed how many times I quit and couldn’t do it. He sees someone who just won’t quit. He starts crying, I get emotional. I’m proud of myself for the first time that I didn’t quit. To truly be powerless over something is demoralizing. [His optimism] affected me. You didn’t die from this. A lot of us do.

He lost about three days of time once
Most addicts have many bottoms. I have many events that are worse than the one that ended up being my last. One one occasion I went out on a Friday… got 100 Vicodin, 80 Percocet, 40 Xanax, 50-60 diet pills. I get an 8 ball [of coke]… two fifths of Jack and a case of beer. That’s Friday night. I come to in my bed and it’s dark out… I go out in the kitchen, everything is gone… the pill box is empty. I come to realize that it’s Monday. You would call this a rock bottom. 90% of people are not waking up from that amount of stuff. You would assume that would be it. There was a good year beyond that moment.

When he decided to quit drinking
The moment for me. I was about to start this movie Zathura. I go with a friend to Hawaii [for a week] I bought crystal meth, got in a car accident, it’s just a disastrous trip. I’m sick most of the time. When I get to San Francisco I’m so physically sick I have to go to the bar. I’ve been in AA at this point so I’m terrified someone is going to see me that knows I’m supposed to be sober. There is a mirror right (next to me). I have this moment where I take stock in my life. I’m about to star in this movie, they’re paying me a ton of money, people recognize me. I’m doing everything I had dreamt of doing for 30 years, it all came true. I am the least happy I’ve ever been in my life. The closest to not wanting to be alive as I’ve ever been and I have every single thing on paper that I wanted.

I feel grateful for this because I was able to say ‘something much more profound is broken.’ Up until then I could tell myself ‘oh if I had money… if I was doing the thing I wanted to do that would solve everything.’ A lot of us proceed through life thinking ‘we would be happy if….’ Those are illusions that most people don’t get to find out are illusions. I was lucky enough to have a million dollars. My whole life if I had a million dollars, do you know how I would feel if I had a million dollars? Well I had a million dollars and I f’ing couldn’t get on a flight to fly 30 minutes. I was like ‘oh it’s none of those things.’

I’ve heard amazing stories like this in AA, of people who should have died so many times and have now been sober for years. I often think about how famous and/or highly successful people talk about their sobriety, like it’s the most precious and valuable thing to them. Many people describe their sobriety are more meaningful than anything else they’ve achieved. I think about that a lot when I’m going through tough times in sobriety, that it’s so much better than it could be. I could still be waking up every day like that. I was so mad all the time. Even if I had all the money and the career success I would still be miserable as a drunk. I hope I don’t ever go back there, and stories like this help.

It’s powerful and I like him more now! This isn’t shock value stuff like Jada Pinkett Smith is doing, he’s just talking about his life and what he’s learned and he’s doing his best to be upfront.

Gabrielle Union just welcomed her daughter, Kaavia James, in November, after suffering several miscarriages. She’s been posting adorable photos of Kaavia to Instagram. Like most famous moms, Gabrielle has of course had her share of mommy shamers,many of whom she’s responded to. Where does she draw the strength to take these folks on? It’s easy, Gabrielle loves herself.

Gabrielle Union is learning how to live her best life without apology.

The actress — who welcomed her now 3-month-old daughter Kaavia James with husband Dwyane Wade, 37, via surrogate on Nov. 7 — is often candid (and hilarious) when it comes to parenthood, but being so open has a downside.

Ever since her daughter’s birth, Union has taken flak on social media for everything from not wearing what some consider “age-appropriate” clothing to kissing her baby on the mouth.

“I had to hit the mommy shamers day one,” Union, 46, tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue, on newsstands Friday. “I’m going to do it my way. I’m sure I’m going to make all kinds of mistakes and when I ask for help, which I will, I would love to hear all y’all’s advice. Everybody has been on my journey of pain and anguish and trauma, and I owe it to myself to enjoy every second of my joy.”

“If you’ve been rocking with me, in my misery and my pain and my failures, I want you to enjoy my joys,” she says. “If you can’t just sit back and enjoy the miracles without offering every piece of advice Nana ever gave you, it’s okay to unfollow. It’s okay to just enjoy the ride.”

By standing up for herself online, Union wants to show people that they can live their best lives on their own terms and have agency over their body and choices.

“I want to be able to make whatever choice I want to make and not have to answer to anybody but me,” she says. “As long as I feel good, as long as I feel confident, screw you. Look in the mirror and fix your own life. [I want to] give people that example of somebody who refuses to let anyone dictate what the hell I do or don’t do or say or don’t say.”

She adds, “It’s okay to rock with yourself. I’m my favorite person on the planet. I enjoy my own company. I find that people who don’t enjoy their own company tend to comment the most on other people’s lives — take your life back. The world doesn’t end when you do what the hell you want.”

I wouldn’t say I am my favorite person, but I do enjoy my own company. Especially when I’m complaining because I almost always agree with myself. I also don’t let others determine what I do. I do try and listen to advice and have made positive parenting changes. However, the people offering me advice are very different than the trolls and commenters Gabrielle is referring to. She’s listening, though. When she was hit with all the criticism about kissing her baby on the mouth, she responded, “Hey guys I appreciate all the concern about kisses on the mouth and labored breathing, I am blessed enough to have a nurse here with us while at work.” This is how I’ve come to handle it too. I also get a second opinion. Sometimes people who give advice are well-intended. And sometimes they’re right. And if they aren’t right? Then I sit alone in a room and bitch about them while agreeing with myself.

As I’ve said before, one of the reasons why I don’t get *really* mad about the nepotism-careers of Bella and Gigi Hadid is because I actually, genuinely like both of their looks. We could argue that Gigi sucks as a runway model (it’s true tho), but she’s a great print model, and Bella is good at runway and print modeling. Bella has a darker, witchy vibe and Gigi is sunny and “wholesome” looking. But, as I’ve also said, parts of their looks are somewhat manufactured, especially in Bella’s case. I honestly don’t know if Gigi has had work done, or if she’s Botoxing or whatever. But Bella has definitely had some work done, in my opinion. A nose job, likely some lip enhancements, and possibly some fillers and such. According to their mom Yolanda Hadid though, both of her daughters are completely natural. O RLY?

Bella and Gigi Hadid’s mom, Yolanda, is addressing speculation that her model children have used Botox and fillers. The Hadid matriarch posted a photo of herself in sheer lingerie to Instagram earlier this month, writing, “Living in a body free of breast implants, fillers, botox, extensions, and all the bulls–t I thought I needed in order to keep up with what society conditioned me to believe what a sexy woman should look like until the toxicity of it all almost killed me.”

The post racked up hundreds of thousands of likes, but others questioned her certitude. One commenter in particular wrote, “I agree with you but what about your daughter? Especially Bella? She is beautiful but must use fillers?!” the fan wrote. “And she is in the [modeling] business so how do you rationalize that?”

Hadid, who has documented her long battle with Lyme disease in a book and on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, came back to the platform to clear the air on her children.

“None of my children have never done fillers or Botox or put anything foreign in their bodies,” she wrote back. “They know better after seeing what I went through.”

To be fair, a nose job for Bella wouldn’t have “put anything foreign” into her body. So that speculation can run rampant. I still believe Bella is getting lip plumpers too, but other than that… I don’t know. Am I wrong for buying the idea that Gigi isn’t getting ‘toxed? I think she is pretty natural. I even believe that both young women have natural racks too. Ah, to be in one’s early 20s again and have naturally perky boobs.

Max Greenfield took his nine-year daughter, Lilly, with him to the Late Show with Stephen Colbert the other night. It was probably too cold for his three-year-old son, Ozzie, to comed. Max explained that he takes Lilly to the set of his CBS show, The Neighborhood, and while he sees it as this father-daughter bonding time, she’s mostly bored and hungry. During his segment, Colbert kept throwing the camera to her backstage. She was adorable, clearly having more fun than at Dad’s other job. However, at one point, Colbert called her on stage and asked her to go to the dressing room because he and her dad needed to “have an adult conversation” – about Veronica Mars! Max played Leo on VM. Leo was cute and he kept getting implicated in stuff because of Veronica so he earned the sympathy crush as well. He was also in the 2014 VM movie but I can’t even remember him in that. Colbert asked if Max was going to be in the new VM limited series and Max said yes but then he dropped some major news – VM is going to be hella sexy, including a sex scene with Leo that is so explicit, it made Max’s Neighborhood co-star, Beth Behrs, gasp when she heard it:

Stephen Colbert: You’re going to be in the (Veronica Mars) limited series

Max Greenfield: Yeah, I’ve been kind of going back and forth between Veronica Mars and The Neighborhood. It had been going very well up until the other day when I received and email from one of the producers I know very well, Dan Ethridge and he said, ‘What’s your comfort level with eroticism?’ And I go, ‘it’s zero now, that you’ve asked me this. What are you talking about?’

SC: Okay so, what’s the scene? What do you have to do?

MG: Stephen, it’s crazy man. I read it to Beth Behrs, who plays my wife on The Neighborhood… her reaction as I read it, there are no lines, it’s just all descriptive, and her reaction as I kept going down (the page) was just (gasps). They use words like ‘thrust.’ Stephen, I don’t know who they think they cast in the role.

SC: What else happens, what other words do they use?

MG: Moan. Thrust, moan. And they use these words multiple times.

SC: Is this a two-person scene?

MG: It is a two-person scene

I’m not ashamed to say, this excites the hell out of me. Like I said, Leo was adorable, but he was most certainly not the hunk on the show. So, if he’s getting busy, then we are definitely getting a scene with Veronica ripping Logan’s Navy uniform off him as he throws her on the dining room table. Remember, Kristen Bell just said that her husband has no problem with her sex scenes, the cast is totally setting us up for Fifty Shades of Neptune. Even if it isn’t the scene I am focusing on, I will be happy to see Leo get some, he deserves it. Plus, Max’s wife, Tess Sanchez, is totally on board with it. She thinks it’ll be good for Max’s career. And when Max told her he didn’t think he could do it, his wife said, “I know you can’t. Act.”, which made me like her even more. Maybe this is why Max takes Lilly to the set of The Neighborhood, so she’ll think all TV sets are boring and won’t ask to tag along to the Mars set.

And shout out for that windowpane suit Max wore on Colbert. Heck ya, Leo could get it
