Ariana Grande got a new tattoo on the inside of her hand in Kanji. We know because she posted a photo of it, which she assured people was her real hand since it was so smooth and looked doll-like. Ariana thought it said “7 Rings” for her new (very derivative) single. People who can read Kanji quickly pointed out that it really says “shichirin,” which is the name for a little tabletop grill used in Japan. I love those tabletop grills! When I lived in Germany we would have raclette grill dinners and they were so much fun. Now I want a Japanese one, but I digress.

Anyway Ariana deleted the photo and she explained that this happened because the tattoo hurt so much that she decided to leave a few characters out in the middle of it, resulting in the gaffe. She deleted these tweets but PopAlarms screencapped them: [via Cosmopolitan]

That’s partially why you shouldn’t get tattoos with other languages, also because of appropriation issues of course. I’m not into tattoos anymore, I only have a couple tattoos from when I was in my late teens. I keep seeing Instagram ads for semi-permanent tattoos and I look through them and realize I don’t even want to commit to a week with one.

As for this mistake, Ariana should go all out with the tabletop barbecues. She should have a party with all her friends and a bunch of these little grills on the table. She needs to include that in her next video and use it as a theme for her tour. Oh and at Coachella, where she’s headlining. It would be a better strategy than mimicking 2 Chainz’s aesthetic and Soulja Boy’s beats.

As we discussed, we’re going through another moment where Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian are trying to get some headlines for all the wrong reasons. Rob and Chyna have been sniping at each other for years now as they fight over Dream Kardashian’s custody, and Rob posting revenge-p0rm of Chyna, and Chyna getting the cops called on her for allegedly neglecting Dream, and like a million other things. I think they’re both kind of terrible? But now Rob is trying to assume the high road, or perhaps he thinks he’s in a position of strength after Chyna jetted off to Hawaii with her boyfriend when she was supposed to have custody of Dream.

As Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna battle for custody, his famous family is striving to provide a stable environment for little Dream Renée.

“Regardless of the issues that Rob is dealing with, it’s pretty clear that the environment that Rob and his family can offer Dream is the healthiest for her,” a source close to Kardashian, 31, tells PEOPLE. Although Kardashian wants his 2-year-old daughter to spend quality time with the KarJenner tribe, he thinks it’s best that Dream has a healthy relationship with Chyna, 30.

“Rob always wanted Dream to spend time with her mom, too. He has never wanted Chyna to be cut out of Dream’s life,” the source says. “But he also doesn’t want Dream to be raised by a nanny while her mom is off partying out of state.”

Over the weekend, Kardashian reportedly wasn’t able to get in touch with Chyna, who is currently in Hawaii, to drop off their little girl on Saturday, when she was supposed to have custody. While Chyna’s alleged behavior doesn’t come as a surprise to the KarJenner clan, they are concerned about Dream’s wellbeing when she is with her mom.

“Rob’s family always had issues with Chyna. Her public behavior in the past few days, certainly isn’t going to give her a Mother of the Year award. Chyna has long acted like her number one priority isn’t raising her kids. This is very hard for Rob’s family,” says the source. “They don’t feel like Dream is properly cared for when she is with Chyna. They find it to be a sad situation. Dream is the cutest little girl. She is very happy and so much fun to be around. Rob’s family just wants Dream to be raised in the best way possible.”

Crap, I completely forgot that Chyna has a son too – King Cairo is 6 years old. Dream is two years old. I think… well, Rob probably isn’t a great dad, and Chyna probably isn’t a great mom, but the hope was that between the two of them, they would be able to make one okay parent. I don’t even think that’s the case. Now, this People story leads me to believe that maybe Rob’s sisters (Khloe and Kim, specifically) and Kris Jenner think that they can somehow get Rob to be Dream’s primary custodial parent, then they can take over and “help” him raise the little girl. I don’t know. It’s such a mess.

I think Jennifer Lopez looks amazing. I would love to have her figure, her skin, her vampire-like anti-ageing DNA. I know Jennifer lives a very “clean” life – no smoking, no drinking, lots of sleep and water and very healthy food. But if I was given a choice between “no carbs or sugar and you can look like J.Lo” versus “keep eating carbs and sugar and you’ll look like yourself,” I would still choose carbs and sugar. But J.Lo is trying to convince people that they too can look like ageless vampires if they give up carbs and sugar for 10 days. She and Alex Rodriguez convinced the hosts of the Today Show to give her “10-day challenge” a chance last Friday. Carson Daly couldn’t even make it 12 hours. Who knew that Carson Daly would be MY goal?

Carson Daly is not holding back when it comes to his thoughts on Jennifer Lopez‘s 10-day no carb, no sugar challenge. While sitting in front of the “J. Lo Confessional Cam,” Daly explained that his challenge “never really happened,” as he got off on the wrong foot by the temptation of his sister’s homemade chicken pot pies on Friday.

“Forgive me J.Lo, for I have sinned,” he said before entering the camera booth. “The challenge for me — I accepted it on Friday — never really happened,” Daly admitted. “By the time I got home, I had a text from my sister who doesn’t cook that often and she invited my family over to her family’s house. She made individual chicken pot pies. What am I supposed to do, not eat that? Am I supposed to show up with my own bag of broccoli and [say], ‘Oh, I can’t have any carbs?’ It’s Friday night!”

Things got worse on Saturday night when The Voice host went out to his favorite restaurant, known for their crispy french fries. Though Daly explained he did not order the fries on his own — someone else ordered them for the table — he admitted, “I can’t not have one!”

“I don’t know if I can do it. I really don’t think I can, to be honest with you,” Daly candidly said. “Or maybe just deep, deep, deep down inside I don’t want to.” Defending his decisions, Daly explained the challenge “doesn’t make any sense to me,” as he prefers to “celebrate life” with his wife Siri Pinter Daly and their three children: Jackson James, 9, Etta Jones, 6, and London Rose, 4. “I thought it would be easier because I don’t eat a ton of carbs anyway… there’s just a lot of sugar in everything, it turns out,” he finished. “So when you start making these micro decisions in the day you’re like, ‘This sucks. My life sucks now.’”

Sometimes I wonder if it would be worth it to live like a celebrity but be deep in debt. I often think of a story that Suze Orman told in one of her early books about realizing that she was deep in the hole despite driving a Mercedes and wearing designer clothes. Also the fate of Speidi! Remember them? I wouldn’t mind having nicer things, but I would rather have peace of mind, security and a good credit score. That’s what came to mind when I saw that Tori Spelling has been ordered to pay over $88k to American Express. I would ask how she ended up owing so much, but she owes literally millions for debts to multiple creditors, including the US Government and State of California. She’s been plagued by money problems for years and she continued to throw huge parties for her kids and go on luxury vacations even after the IRS seized her assets. We know because she put most of it on Instagram, she’s shameless. So here’s the latest blow to Tori’s finances, but you know she’s not going to address it.

Tori Spelling has been ordered to pay more than $88,000 to American Express, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly.

The credit card company filed a writ of execution, a court order forcing a judgement, earlier this month to collect $88,246.55 from the 45-year-old actress, according to the docs.

Back in January 2016, American Express sued Spelling after she failed to pay her credit card debt for months. The following October, AmEx filed paperwork ordering the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum to pay $87,594.55 that she owed in an unpaid credit card bill.

The former Mystery Girls star, who is the daughter of the late multimillionaire TV producer Aaron Spelling, opened up about struggling with money in her 2013 memoir, Spelling It Like It Is.

“It’s no mystery why I have money problems,” she wrote. “I grew up rich beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. I never knew anything else. Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle, I can’t seem to let go of my expensive tastes. Even when my tastes aren’t fancy, they’re still costly. I moved houses to simplify my life, but lost almost a million dollars along the way.”

Tori’s book where she gave that quote admitting to money problems came out over five years ago. She has had plenty of time to change her ways. Am I an a-hole for hoping Tori’s mom, Candy, gives all her money to charity when she passes? (She’s not even close to that, she’s 73, but I bet Tori is hoping for Candy’s fortune.) Candy knows that Tori is horrible with money and will waste it. As mean as it sounds, I hope she doesn’t give it to Tori and Dean’s kids either because then Tori will just guilt her kids to give her the money. I think Candy already has a plan in place for all that.

As I was looking for news on Tori, I found that her lifestyle website, ToriSpelling.com, has been replaced by a placeholder. Do you think she just didn’t pay the bill or was that deliberate? She’s now has another site, Beauty By Tori launched late last year, where she sells her “curated line of makeup, skincare and body care.” No shame in that hustle.

The Duchess of Sussex had her first royal event of the week today, and we’ll also be seeing her tomorrow and Friday for other events. Today, Meghan visited one of her new patronages, the National Theatre. The Queen was the previous royal patron to the National Theatre, and I still believe that the Queen hand-selected this patronage for Meghan because Her Maj thought it would be a natural fit for the former actress.

Meghan arrived at the National Theatre about an hour after Prince Harry’s Commonwealth event ended. I think they probably coordinated the times with each other, so that royal reporters could have full access to both of their events. It’s one of those little things that I think Meghan has brought to the table – even though the British media has a large role in the smear campaign against her, she still cares about giving them access.

Meghan’s dress and blazer are from Brandon Maxwell, a designer I always associate with Lady Gaga. Right? Gaga used to wear SO much customized Maxwell. Gaga put him on the map. I always liked Gaga’s Maxwell looks – he does a lot of simple, classic, monochromatic looks. The dress – which I thought might be a two-piece but is not – is in a beige/blush shade and it looks cute. I think it probably needs the blazer for the whole “look.” Meghan’s heels are Aquazzura, one of her go-to shoe brands (and these seem to be a repeat). She also repeated her Carolina Herrera clutch (she used it for Trooping the Colour last year).

Meanwhile, did you know that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be apart for their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple? Harry is scheduled to visit Exercise Clockwork in Norway on V-Day. He’ll be spending the day there, but he’ll make it back to Meghan by the evening. It got me thinking that Harry is probably trying to get a few trips in over the next month, because as soon as Meghan’s due date gets closer, he won’t want to travel more than a few miles away from her.

I’ve gotten a vibe from Prince Harry over the past few months. That vibe? Seething and protective. Protective of Meghan, and seething towards everyone attacking his wife. During the Christmas Day church-stroll, I said that it looked like Meghan and Kate were doing all of the heavy lifting of “looking friendly,” all while William and Harry seemed like they couldn’t even look at each other without it turning into a fist fight. I know I’m going off on a conspiratorial limb here, but I really do think that this whole time, “the war of the duchesses” was only a cover for Harry and William having a significant falling out.

In those months of seething, Harry has done some low-key solo appearances, but he hasn’t made many public statements about anything, really. Today, he did a pre-scheduled event on behalf of his “Commonwealth Youth Ambassador” role, and he made some public statements.

Prince Harry spent Wednesday morning meeting young people from around the world as he took the next step in his role for his grandmother Queen Elizabeth. Harry, 34, took part in a roundtable discussion with young leaders from across the Commonwealth. It was part of his position as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, which he took on for the Queen last April. He and wife Meghan Markle, 37, see the Commonwealth as taking an important role in their working life.

Wednesday’s meeting at Lancaster House in London was hosted by Lord (Tariq) Ahmad, Minister of State for the Commonwealth, and saw the young people brief Harry about the issues that are key to them in the run up to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2020 (CHOGM).

Harry made a speech at the meeting, and he referenced his wife’s pregnancy: “As someone who is about to become a father, I am acutely aware of our shared responsibility to make this world more resilient and its inhabitants more accountable for the next generation. The only way to see real progress is not by chance, it’s by change.” A nice reference, but it’s not cloying or anything. I imagine Harry is playing his cards close to the vest these days as he and Meghan are in such a transition phase – Harry doesn’t want to make any kind of statement that will be too revealing, too tabloidy, anything that could be any kind of grist for anyone’s particular mill. It’s fine.
