Hilary Duff was a cohost on The Talk Thursday when they brought up Jennifer Aniston’s longstandingpoint that she shouldn’t be judged for not having children. The Talk mentioned Aniston’s essay for The Huffington Post, which came out in July, and her Marie Claire interview last month, where she said she shouldn’t be “whittled down to a sad childless human.” Aniston was asked again about this on a recent British talkshow, Lorraine, and she repeated her point that tabloids are unfair to women and that “we’re reduced down, if we don’t have a baby or a white picket fence or a husband then we’re useless.” Aisha Tyler posed the question to The Talk pane “have you ever been judged through a narrow lens?” and that’s when Duff said that she gets judged for being a mom.

“I see her point and she is such beautiful role model, and a smart woman to have the courage to say these things in Hollywood. But like I feel like I was judged for having a baby and now, I’m pigeonholed for being like a ‘mom,’ but then lots of women in the industry that don’t have a child yet are judged for like not having a child.

“It’s crazy that women we are the most in demand and the most desirable but the most judged and the hardest on one another. So much scrutiny. No one cares about men’s personal lives as much as women.”

She was responding to a specific question so it wasn’t as bad as I initially assumed. Duff’s career now is all about pap walks and social media and trying to drum up interest in her personal life. Don’t get me wrong she seems harmless and superficially “nice,” albeit clueless, I just haven’t read one article about how she had kids too young or which reduces her to being a “mom.” Aniston played into the “childless” narrative by talking about it post-split with Pitt, but it was very much real and the tabloids harped on it. Duff may feel judged and that’s real to her, but she’s not dealing with anything like what Aniston went through.

Twinning!

Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves struck a pose with their three kids – sons Levi, 8, and Livingston, nearly 4, and 6-year-old daughter Vida – donning matching suits at the Los Angeles premiere of Sing on Saturday (December 3).

While the Dallas Buyers Club star, 47, was dapper in a black suit, his model wife, 34, looked lovely in an off-the-shoulder black and white polka dot chiffon gown.

But their adorable children stole the show in their matching ensembles. While Levi rocked a black suit to match his famous father, Livingston went with red and Vida looked beautiful in blue. All four completed their looks with white flower boutonnieres.

The proud mama shared a family photo at the event with legendary musician Stevie Wonder.

While walking the red carpet at the premiere, the Interstellar star dished on their upcoming Christmas plans.

“We switch it up,” he told E! News. “Usually we are with our families. My family is in West Texas and her family is in Brazil. So we are going to go over and spend time with her Brazilian family.”

The Accountant actor Ben Affleck and his estranged wife, Miracles From Heaven star Jennifer Garner, stepped out with their three children – daughters Violet, 11, and Seraphina, nearly 8, and 4-year-old son Samuel – in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

The family-of-five were photographed attending church together on Sunday (December 4).

On Thursday, we spotted the Alias alum, 44, celebrating Violet’s 11th birthday with an after-school playdate.

Last weekend, we spotted the former couple and their three kids at church in Brentwood.

The Gone Girl actor, 44, and Garner recently celebrated Thanksgiving together with their kids.

“I’m cooking!” the Danny Collins star said. “I’m cooking — always, everything!”

And it sounds like the Garner-Afflecks are set to have a very Merry Christmas together as well.

“Family all being together [makes me happiest],” Garner said. “My sisters and nieces and nephews and parents will all be together for a week at Christmas.”

Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth were all smiles with Ava, 17, Deacon, 13, and Tennessee, 4, on Saturday (December 3).

The famous family rocked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Sing held at the Microsoft Theater.

In September, Ava made her solo red carpet debut at the Chanel No. 5 L’eau fragrance in West Hollywood, Calif.

The Wild actress, 40, recently gushed about her growing girl.

“She’s so much cooler than I am!” the Legally Blonde actress said of Ava. “She’s very cutting edge, and she knows a lot about fashion, and she has her own sense of style, which is amazing. We try to confer about new styles. She tells me whether or not I can wear things.”

The mom-of-three – who will next appear in HBO’s Big Little Lies – voiced a shy pig mother-of-25 called Rosita in Sing.

The actress shared a video via Instagram from the red carpet.

Sing hits theaters Dec. 21.

Double the congratulations are in order for Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris Ackles.

The Supernatural star, 38, and the One Tree Hill actress, 37, welcomed twins – Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes – on Friday, Dec. 2. The proud papa announced the birth of his son and daughter via Instagram Saturday.

“Danneel, JJ and I are excited to announce the birth of our twins Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes. They were born early yesterday morning.Everyone is doing great! #twinning,” the former Days of our Lives star announced.

Zeppelin and Arrow join 3-year-old big sister, Justice “JJ” Jay.

In August, Ackles announced the couple’s pregnancy news.

“Adding a couple of pairs of boots to the family later this year. #crazytimesahead,” the Smallville alum captioned the image of the blue and pink baby cowboy boots.

It’s a Supernatural baby boom. Ackles’ longtime costar Jared Padalecki and wife Genevieve Cortese Padalecki are currently expecting their third child.

I actually had some concerns that Alec Baldwin would never appear on Saturday Night Live following the election. In the immediate wake of the election, sources did say that he wasn’t interested in continuing his Donald Trump impression, and that Lorne Michaels was probably going to have to scramble to find someone else. But Baldwin came back. And he keeps coming back. I suspect that Baldwin’s motives are something of a high-level trolling. He saw that his impression of Trump pissed off the real Trump, so Baldwin is going to keep doing it as long as it keeps pissing off Trump. Here was last night’s Trump skit, which would be funny if it wasn’t so bloody terrifying.

The mature answer from Donald Trump should have been to laugh at himself, or treat it all in good humor. The mature answer would have been to simply own it. I mean, after all, Donald Trump is the president-elect (*SCREAMS INTERNALLY*). But no. The PEOTUS is just as thin-skinned as ever.

As SNL’s skit showed, what’s terrifying is NOT that this is all some kind of media-driven feint to get people to talk about stupid stuff rather than the “important stuff.” Trump does this because his brain is bad. Truly. Because he really is this petty, broken, needy and thin-skinned. SAD!

Welp, it looks like Us Weekly actually did have the scoop after all. In the current issue of Us Weekly, their sources claim that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were having serious issues in the weeks leading up to Kanye’s hospitalization. It sounds like Kanye was going through a real “manic” phase and Kim did not want to be around him, nor did she want the kids around him, and she told him they were taking a break. Soon after Kanye was released from the hospital, People Magazine’s sources claimed that Kimye was not and had not been on a break. Except guess what? Kanye may be out of the hospital, but he did not go home. All of that talk about how Kim didn’t want him around the kids was true: Kanye is now living separately from Kim and the kids.

Kanye West is out of the hospital, but the rapper is not back home with his wife Kim Kardashian West and their two children. A source close to the family tells PEOPLE the entertainer, 39, is living apart from his family for the time being and continuing treatment for undisclosed mental health issues after leaving UCLA’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital earlier this week.

“He is receiving outpatient care else with a medical team,” says the source. “Kim still seems concerned but is supportive. They don’t know for how long Kanye will need outpatient care.”

Though Kardashian West, 36, was a constant presence by her husband’s bedside while he remained hospitalized, an insider told PEOPLE she was “overwhelmed” by the situation and concerned about West’s relationship with their children, North, 3, and Saint, 11 months.

“She is very worried about the kids being around Kanye,” said the insider, who added that the children had not accompanied Kardashian West to visit their father.

It feels like a tough-love situation. It feels like Kim is telling Kanye that he needs to take his mental health seriously, listen to the doctors and take care of himself… or else she won’t let him come home. That’s just my reading of it. As for Kanye taking better care of himself, TMZ reports that this whole thing possibly started because Kanye wasn’t taking his meds as prescribed:

Kanye West is out of the hospital but not out of the woods, and it all stems from the rapper’s erratic pattern of taking his meds … sources connected with the family tell TMZ. Our sources say Kanye has long suffered from psychological issues controllable by medication. We’re told Kanye is steady on his meds, but deviated from the prescribed dosage … and that’s what led to the downward spiral and eventual mental breakdown.

It’s still unclear if Kanye flat-out stopped taking some of the pills or just decided to take different amounts — but we’re told he made the biggest changes in the wake of Kim’s Paris robbery. Doctors were able to keep Kanye in the hospital for 8 days, and during that time were able to medicate him, and get him more stable. We’re told he’s getting outpatient treatment and he’s okay right now, but since he’s not under 24/7 observation … it’s up to him to stay on the correct dosage.

If this is true, it would explain a lot about Kanye’s behavior over the past few years in particular. He’s always been eccentric (if not batsh-t crazy), but the swings in his mood and behavior were particularly wild over the past few years. I also wonder if he’s the kind of person who has mental health issues which can be well-stabilized by medication, but once he becomes stable, he thinks he doesn’t have to take his meds.

There are several layers of awfulness around this story. The first layer is just a general disgust that Mattel has given the greenlight to make a film about Barbie. It just feels… unnecessary and dumb. The next layer of awful is that the leading candidate to play Barbie is… Amy Schumer??? Are you joking? Apparently not. All the trade papers are buzzing with leaked details, trying to get people excited about the idea of Amy Schumer-as-Barbie. While the script details make sense, I still think this idea is no bueno.

Amy Schumer is in negotiations to play the title role in Barbie, the live-action Sony Pictures film based on the venerable Mattel toyline. The PG movie will begin production in the spring for a global summer 2018 tentpole bow, after Schumer puts her imprint on the Hilary Winston script, doing a rewrite with her sister Kim Caramele. Given her edgy stand-up comedy and her movie breakthrough writing and starring in the R-rated Trainwreck, what makes Schumer the right actress to play the embodiment of a beloved toyline that for years featured a doll with impossibly perfect physical proportions? Aside from the fact that she has Barbie hair, Schumer’s growing stature as a role model for female empowerment fits perfectly with how the film will exploit Barbie’s evolution into dolls of different sizes and shapes.

Schumer will play a character who lives in Barbieland, among all of the various Barbie characters beloved by doll collectors (there are dolls covering over 180 careers). In a fish-out-of-water story reminiscent of films like Splash and Big, Schumer’s Barbie gets kicked out, basically because she’s not perfect enough, is a bit eccentric and doesn’t quite fit the mold. She then goes on an adventure in the real world and by the time she returns to Barbieland to save it, she has gained the realization that perfection comes on the inside, not the outside, and that the key to happiness is belief in oneself, free of the obligation to adhere to some unattainable standard of perfection. Mattel, with a lot at stake since the toyline has generated $3 billion in sales, signed off on the take.

The studio will now lock in a director, and the clear intention is that the filmmaker be a woman. Word around Hollywood is there is a short list of directors including Me Before You helmer Thea Sharrock (who is apparently unavailable for the slot), but it’s a big job and the studio expects to fill it shortly.

Deadline basically says that this role was delivered on a silver platter to Schumer, and that Mattel wants the film to deflect the body-diversity and racial-diversity mission of New & Improved Barbie, which was launched in January of this year. Mattel “remade” Barbie in all different colors and shapes, in an attempt to appeal to millennial moms. It’s also worth noting that the Barbie doll redo came about because Barbie sales fell off a cliff about three years ago. That’s probably why Mattel was suddenly so eager to greenlight a Barbie movie too.

As for Amy Schumer as Barbie… I get what they’re trying to do. I get that Amy Schumer isn’t anyone’s idea of Barbie and that the message is supposed to be “every woman is unique, be your own individual Barbie.” But I just don’t think Amy should be the face of it. Oh, and if Skipper is involved, they should cast Lena Dunham. That would be Peak White Feminist Barbie nonsense.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt were in Europe all of last week doing the first wave of press for their holiday film, Passengers. I’m calling it a “holiday film” because it’s being released the week before Christmas in the hopes that bored holiday moviegoers will want to see two of the biggest Hollywood stars be romantic together. Anyway, I’m including photos from their stops in London (J-Law in the red-and-black printed Proenza Schouler dress) and Berlin (J-law in the black-and-white polka-dotted Dolce & Gabbana two-piece). I weirdly like the Proenza Schouler dress and absolutely loathe the D&G. I also dislike Jennifer’s current extensions, they look so fake and cheap.

Anyway, during their stop in London, Chris and Jennifer filmed an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Both have appeared on the show before, to great results, and I can understand why Graham wanted them both on the couch. He probably thought it was going to be Peak Charisma. But the result was actually sort of annoying. Jennifer told one story about filming on one of the Hunger Games movies in Hawaii, and how she kept scratching her butt on sacred rocks, so much so that she actually dislodged one of the rocks and almost killed someone.

The headlines for this story are along the lines of “J-Law’s butt almost killed someone” and “J-Law’s butt-scratching put someone in mortal danger.” But the story is really f—ked up, right? If the rocks are sacred, um… don’t use them to scratch your ass. And it’s not funny that she destroyed a sacred site and almost killed someone, and did extensive damage to the production. I get that we’re supposed to be like “OMG, she’s so relatable and puppy-ish.” But this story is the worst.

Speaking of the worst, Chris Pratt tried to bring the charm by doing a magic trick. I’ll admit, the last part was sort of cool, but this bit just went on way too long. It seemed like something Tom Hiddleston would do.

All in all, not the best couch. Sometimes Norton gets a really good combination, sometimes it falls flat.

New mom Elisabetta Canalis stepped out with daughter Skyler, 14 months, on Friday (December 2). Joined by a friend, the mother-daughter duo visited Santa Claus at The Grove in Los Angeles, Calif.
