Prince William had a big day full of events on Wednesday. And by that I mean he did two events, one during the day and one in the evening. Poor Normal Bill! What’s always interesting to me is how, where and why William decides to do events solo, because he was alone for both events yesterday. Where was Kate? Coloring at Anmer Hall? Staying at her mom’s house, maybe? Getting her hair done and then doing a spot of shopping?

During the day, William visited a train factory in Derby. He got to play at being a train conductor, which he really enjoyed, and he got to eat some cake from a former contestant on the Great British Bake-Off. Then in the evening, William flew solo at the Tusk Trust Conservation Awards held at the Victoria and Albert Museum. William usually goes solo to Tusk Trust events. Some of you royal-watchers have pointed out that the Tusk Trust is Jecca Craig’s big charity. Jecca is deeply involved with the Tusk Trust, for about the same amount of time that William has been involved with it. I do not know if Jecca was at the event last night. If she did not attend, then as far as I know, Jecca and William haven’t seen each other since he flew to Kenya in March and attended Jecca’s wedding over the Easter holiday. William missed his daughter’s first Easter so he could see his ex-girlfriend get married. Just a reminder! Oh, and Jecca also gave birth to a (secret) baby this year. This whole thing is so… interesting.

Also: I assume Ol’ Work-Shy Will is trying to do a last-minute royal-engagement blitz to get his year-end numbers up. In one month, Buckingham Palace will reveal their official event numbers for all of the working royals and I’m assuming that William and Kate will be the *sad clown noise* least-working royals for the fifth year in a row. They even get to count “private meetings” to their numbers and they still look lazy as hell.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 43, and the Against the Ropes actor, 50, are currently expecting their fifth child together.

Dean is also dad to son Jack, 18, from his previous marriage What’s For Dinner? star Mary Jo Eustace.

The True Tori stars recently announced their fifth pregnancy.

“It was a total surprise,” Tori said. “But we always wanted a big family. I’m really excited.”

Chris Pratt covers the January issue of British GQ, just in time to promote his big movie star movie Passengers. I’ve never really been a believer in Chris Pratt, and that was before I realized that he and his wife don’t take proper care of their animals (not to mention the fact that Pratt is a sport hunter). All in all, not really my type. But I am interested in seeing how Passengers does, because the trailers make it look… not good? Like, it’s a cheesy ripoff of something but I can’t figure out what it’s ripping off. Anyway, Pratt excels when he’s in promotional mode (he has a touch of Channing Tatum every-man) and I didn’t really have a problem with these quotes:

On working with Jennifer Lawrence in Passengers: “She is truly one of the greatest actresses I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She acts like Adele sings. You just sit back and you think, damn, some people… She’s a terrible singer! But she’s a wonderful actress. She could just do it. She could just turn it on and it strikes emotion in you, like some people can just open their mouths and sing.”

Chris Pratt on how Guardians of the Galaxy 2 forcing him to deal with the loss of his father: “The truth is I ripped open some wounds that had been healing for some time. And I didn’t want to. But I knew it was right for the moment… There are wounds that are never going to be totally healed. It would probably make for a better story if it was some emotional thing that I hadn’t dealt with… When we face the death of a parent, you sometimes feel regret that you didn’t fully embrace what you had.”

Chris Pratt on being a struggling actor: “Life was a series of choices based on the price backwards on the menu, when you didn’t look at, ooh, what do I want, you look at the lowest number, that’s what you’re going to get. The difference between a large soda and a small soda was the 49 cents, and you didn’t spend the 49 cents. I heard someone say to me if it’s a problem that can be solved by money, it’s not a real problem. And I thought what kind of f***ing a–hole would come up with that?”

“Tell me the script scene by scene, starting now, to the end, because you f***ing people won’t let me read it.” While I understand his frustration with “the Marvel way” of doing things, I do wonder if, say, the reaction would have been the same if Chadwick Boseman had come in and said that about Black Panther. And what if Boseman then bitched about the Marvel way in an interview? The reaction would have been different, let’s face it. As for what he says about being a broke and struggling actor… that says a lot about his pragmatism. He knows he’s lucky to be making real money now, but he hasn’t forgotten what it was like to struggle.

Remember 2015? Remember the summer of 2015, when we were chuckling about Donald Trump’s candidacy, and everyone was placing a bet on when he would drop out of the race? Remember when Trump would just say random things, like “Sure, I would love to have Sarah Palin in my future cabinet”? Yeah. I guess the joke’s on all of us. Because now that we’re looking at a Trump administration in the bloated orange face, it seems like Donald Trump actually is considering Sarah Palin for a cabinet position. Palin endorsed Trump in a word-salad-y, nonsensical speech back in January of this year, then she mostly disappeared from the campaign. But she’s baaaack. And Trump is considering her for Veteran’s Affairs.

Sarah Palin is under consideration for secretary of veterans affairs, a close Palin aide and a top Donald Trump transition official told ABC News. The Palin aide said that Palin recently told Trump transition officials, “I feel as though the megaphone I have been provided can be used in a productive and positive way to help those desperately in need.”

The Department of Veterans Affairs is the largest government agency, with over 300,000 federal employees and a budget of $182 billion for 2017.

Palin’s son-in-law and Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer posted a SarahPAC video to his Facebook page earlier this week, with excerpts from a speech she gave that heavily focuses on her work with veterans and her connection to the community. Her eldest son, Track Palin, served in Iraq in 2008. The video, which is not new, seems to clearly show her interest in the position, and in the speech she hits the VA “bureaucracy,” saying it is “killing our vets.”

The speech includes Sarah Palin’s ideas on reforming the VA, including improved health care, using military skills to return to the workforce and securing their benefits. The speech also includes a criticism of Barack Obama.

“Stop blaming the victim and wake up, Mr. President,” she says. “While Christians bow our heads to pray for you, radical Islamists want to cut off your head. The only thing standing between us and savages, it’s the red white and blue, it’s the United States military. And if you love freedom, thank a vet. Thank them. Honor them.”

Of course, Sarah Palin was also the person who blamed President Obama for her son’s PTSD (Track served under George W. Bush’s administration) and she used Track’s PTSD as an excuse for his violent assault of his girlfriend. Obviously, Sarah Palin should not be allowed anywhere near any kind of government bureaucracy, but hey… we knew this was coming. Trump told us he would consider her for a cabinet position a year and a half ago. Which brings me to the real point: believe what the autocrat says. Believe that Donald Trump is going to try to do everything he promised, from bombing the sh-t out of other countries, from revoking the citizenship of protesters, to deporting millions of undocumented immigrants, to creating a Muslim registry, to punishing women who get abortions and more. Believe him when he says things.

Co-parenting in peace!

Former couple Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa stepped out with son Sebastian, 3, last week. The friendly exes enjoyed some quality family time together with their adorable preschooler in Studio City, Calif.

Earlier this month, we spotted the Dancing with the Stars alum, 33, and her son at the Natural History Museum in L.A.

Rose announced on Monday that she’s going on hiatus from social media for the rest of 2016, while wishing her fans “Happy Holidays.”

“Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know that I’m taking the rest of the year off of social media,” the single mom said in a video posted via Instagram. “I’ll have Jill, my assistant, post some cool stuff for me and I’ll see you in the new year!”

I know Zoe Kazan from the really delightful romcom she starred in with Daniel Radcliffe, What If, which is available on demand from Showtime if you’re a subscriber. (Free plug for Showtime – their original shows, like Ray Donovan and Shameless, make it well worth the subscription, as do their movies. Disclosure – they give us advanced access to their shows online. We will plug the hell out of any service that does this. Get on board, HBO.) Zoe, 33, is a talented character actress who does a lot of work on stage. She’s currently starring in the off-Broadway play Love, Love, Love, which is getting rave reviews along with praise for Kazan’s performance. Zoe is also a writer, she’s written three plays and has a film she adapted coming out next year in which her boyfriend of ten years, Paul Dano, stars. In a new interview with The Daily Beast, Kazan explains that she’s perfectly happy playing secondary roles and working in plays. She also discusses her teenage bout with anorexia, which she opened up about in a first person essay published last month. Normally I wouldn’t cover Zoe but I was really impressed with her interview and a lot of what she said resonated with me.

On her career
“It’s just what happened. It was what was available to me, and the roles that were really interesting to me. There are fewer films made at a studio level I like than were made 15 years ago.

“I didn’t have the Hollywood dream. I didn’t want to be an actor like Brad Pitt. I auditioned for the school play when I was 14 and came home and was like, ‘This is what I’m supposed to do with my life.’ It was more like a falling-in-love experience. I had that thing inside of myself, without which you can’t get through the terrible rejection that comes with being an actor.”

On body and self image
“I’m lucky. I’m slim. I am lucky that I’ve never been told by my agents that I had to lose weight. When I met my now-agent, I told her, ‘You can’t ever tell me to lose weight because I won’t respond well to it, and I’ll fire you if you tell me to.’ Going through my eating disorder allowed me to put certain boundaries up that I wouldn’t have known how to put up for myself otherwise.

“How many times have I been told, ‘You’re not pretty enough.’ That sucks, but you don’t have any control over that. You get told, ‘You didn’t get this part ‘cos they wanted a different look.’ That’s the code-word.”

On how she’s feeling after the election
“I can still hardly read the news. It’s really hard. It’s upsetting. I’m not being loud and speaking up in order to be a person who’s loud and speaking up. I’m doing it because I don’t feel I have any other choice right now.

“If we don’t raise our voices, we are inviting something so dark into this country I can’t begin to fathom it. The way people are talking about Hitler is totally apropos. The way Trump is trying to marginalize and dehumanize certain people in this country is criminal and un-American, and as a country we’ve always struggled and strived to live up to the ideals our country stands for.”

On Trump’s plans for the country and activism
“I can’t fathom that the country where we want to be is the country where Muslims have to register, or are not allowed in this country, or where gay people have their rights revoked or women have their rights revoked or black people and Jews are targeted or considered sub-human.

“Our rights will recover but our planet will not, and I feel something very precious is being taken from us every day, and he is far more dangerous than the media is reporting on. I have very little hope right now but a tremendous amount of fight left in me. I don’t see any reason to stop. We have to be our own watchdogs right now.”

I cosign all of what she said about politics. There is no way to be “nice” when things get this obvious and ridiculous. There is no way to play fair when it’s a concept that’s foreign to the other side and the entire reason they’re in power. Honestly we do get hate mail for covering politics. We get told to stay in our lane and only cover celebrity gossip. We are not going to stop covering politics because there is no longer a division between politics and entertainment. There is an unhinged reality TV star who is about to take office. Entertainment and politics have collided and created a baby-fisted monster.

As much as Kazan’s interview felt like a rallying cry, she did defend her friend Lena Dunham while completely missing the point of why people call out Lena. She chalked it up to misogyny, saying “She’s very powerful, and that’s why people are so hard on her. I think if this election has taught us anything it’s that misogyny is alive and well in this country, and smart, powerful women get a lot of rough treatment, especially by the media.” They do, but sometimes that’s warranted. It is definitely aimed more at women however I don’t think Lena is a decent example of that.

Johnny Depp’s passive-aggressive sniping at his ex-wife would be a lot funnier if we didn’t have evidence that he’s a gaslighting, drunk, abusive jackass. You know what I mean? It would be funny because it’s SO obvious. It’s sort of ridiculous how Depp and his people are still leaking to TMZ and trying to make Amber Heard look bad. They don’t realize that they’re only making themselves look terrible. So, earlier this week, TMZ got some “sources” to talk about how Amber was so, so terrible because she hadn’t donated any money from her $7 million divorce settlement, and that’s why it was so brilliant that Depp was going to donate the money on her behalf, right? Except that Amber’s lawyer came out and said, oh right, Depp hasn’t coughed up the settlement money yet and the lawyers are still finalizing everything. And now TMZ has a new story. They’re trying so hard to make Amber sound like the bad guy.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard finally hammered out their divorce settlement, and the charities she promised to fund will get their cash … with a slight delay. Sources connected to the exes tell us Johnny will pay Amber $6.8 million — that’s the $7 mil originally agreed upon, minus the $200k he already donated to the ACLU and Children’s Hospital L.A. in her name. We’re told she’ll get all the money within about 12 months.

Amber will then follow through on her vow to donate ALL of her settlement dough. We’re told she’ll make multiple payments to CHLA and the ACLU … with the plan being to pay the full amount by the end of 2018. Sources not connected with Amber are scoffing, saying they don’t think the charities will ever get the money.

Bottom line — Johnny will get a charitable tax write-off for $200k, Amber will write-off her $6.8 mil worth of donations … and they can both put the nightmare marriage and divorce behind them.

Basically, Depp’s lawyers have worked it out so the Scarf Monster will be paying Amber’s divorce settlement directly to her in installments over the course of a year, and Amber has promised to donate the money to the ACLU and Children’s Hospital in installments as it comes in. And Amber is being painted as the bad guy by TMZ because…??? Because she doesn’t already have the money in her hands to donate right now, because Depp has withheld it?

Also: Amber was in LA this week, and she was spotted out with a “mystery man.” That’s how this guy was described for a day, until someone finally ID’d him: the guy is country singer Mark Wystrach, and he and Amber dated back in 2007. So, she was in LA and she had dinner with an ex (who was not Johnny Depp). You can see the pics here.

Friendly exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner stepped out with 4-year-old son Samuel on Monday (November 28).

The trio stopped for breakfast and coffee to go at the Brentwood Country Mart in Brentwood, Calif.

The day before, we spotted the former couple and their three kids — including daughters Violet, nearly 11, and Seraphina, nearly 8 — at church in Brentwood.

The Accountant actor, 44, and the Miracles From Heaven star, 44, recently celebrated Thanksgiving together with their kids.

“I’m cooking!” the Danny Collins star said. “I’m cooking — always, everything!”

And it sounds like the Garner-Afflecks are set to have a very Merry Christmas together as well.

“Family all being together [makes me happiest],” Garner said. “My sisters and nieces and nephews and parents will all be together for a week at Christmas.”

The Walking Dead star Alanna Masterson posted a photo of 1-year-old daughter Marlowe via Instagram Tuesday.

The new mom, 28, captioned the image while slamming “body shamers” and online “trolls.”

“Dear Instagram trolls, body shamers, and the men and woman who think it’s ok to comment on my weight: I hope that you don’t have children. And if you do, I hope you teach them about kindness and acceptance. I hope they learn that it isn’t ok to make fun of people or call people names. I hope one day YOU learn what it takes to be a parent. A kind, selfless parent. A working parent. A parent that puts themselves in someone else’s shoes. Maybe you can’t get it through your thick fucking skull, but nursing a baby for a year (and pumping in a van between takes, in the dead of summer in Georgia) is a lot of work, determination, and scheduling. So before you decide to make a comment about my chest being “too large” or how “fat” I’ve become, just know that this little girl got the best start to life. I wouldn’t have changed it for a second. I would’ve gladly continued to eat enough calories to produce milk for her little bones to grow,” she captioned the image.

The new mom – who plays zombie fighter Tara Chambler on TWD – went on to identify the online trolls as judgemental bullies.

“Also, grow the fuck up. Your mother should be ashamed for raising such a judgmental bully. I’m sure she knows how “courageous” you must be for trolling and hiding behind your Iphone and computers. P.s. I would LOVE to see any man or woman give birth to a baby, nurse the baby, and then work 17 hour days and NAIL their own stunts. P.s.s. Be kind to each other. We need it now more than ever,” she wrote.

Masterson and her boyfriend, Brick Stowell, welcomed their first child in November 2015.

Covering photos from the annual Victoria’s Secret show is never one of my favorite jobs, so this year I’ve decided to make it a little bit easier (for myself) by just focusing on the Instamodels/nepotism models. While there were some big-name models on last night’s runway – Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio – my guess is that the Instamodels are getting the most attention anyway. So here are some photos of Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

This was Bella Hadid’s first time walking for VS, and she was really proud to be chosen for this Paris show. Bella looked very model-y, I have to say. She even kept her composure when she had to walk the runway while her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd, was performing. Reportedly, The Weeknd and Bella left things on good terms when they did break up, and they were hanging out together backstage last night. He even seemed to be flirting with Bella while she walked the runway.

As for Gigi and Kendall… to me, Gigi looks fine, but I’ve always thought that Gigi and VS are a perfect fit. She’s got that “Victoria’s Secret aesthetic,” which is to say… blonde, pillow-lipped, bedroom-eyed. I also think Gigi looks like she’s lost a lot of weight in the past few months. I noticed that when she was hosting the American Music Awards too – she looks very, very slender these days. Kendall is, to me, the odd model out. Looking through the photos, she’s the one who looks like she doesn’t belong. ¯_(?)_/¯

PS… Bonus Bruno Mars, because why not?
