My original headline was going to be “Moron decides to be president after all.” Or: “Narcissistic douchebag admits obvious.” In the weeks following Donald Trump’s electoral victory, media outlets have been writing frightening stories about the massive conflicts of interest that Trump faces as a businessman/CEO. The Trump Organization has business interests around the world and there would simply be NO WAY that Trump could maintain any kind of controlling interest in Trump Org and still be president. He’s made a lot of noise about wanting to do just that though, especially as the horror stories about his conflicts have grown in the past few weeks. But now it’s fine, because Trump is going to announce that he’s leaving his business. He announced on Twitter that he would be making the announcement in December. Since I don’t want to embed another tweet-storm, here’s what he wrote:
“I will be holding a major news conference in New York City with my children on December 15 to discuss the fact that I will be leaving my great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! While I am not mandated to do this under the law, I feel it is visually important, as President, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses. Hence, legal documents are being crafted which take me completely out of business operations. The Presidency is a far more important task!”
Yeah. I find it disturbing that it’s taken Trump three weeks to realize or understand that he couldn’t do both. I find it disturbing that he’s painting this as his choice, his decision to make, that he could totally do both and there wouldn’t be anything illegal or unethical about it.
What else? Trump’s Treasury Secretary will likely be Steve Mnuchin, a former Goldman Sachs guy who oversaw thousands of mortgage foreclosures during the housing and financial crisis. I hope the Rust Belt really loves how their president doesn’t have any ties to the big bankers and Wall Street.
Trump also had dinner with Bain Capital, I mean, Mitt Romney. This was the scene last night:

Expectant mama Marion Cotillard stepped out on Thursday (November 17). Donning a combination of plaid, leggings, a coat and a cap, the Allied star, 41, was seen out and about in New York City.
The day before, the French actress stepped out in red heels and a yellow baggy top while walking in NYC.
On Tuesday, Cotillard was stunning in stripes at the Big Apple premiere of Allied.
The following day, she looked chic in a tan coat over a black maternity dress while leaving her hotel in the East Village.
On Saturday, the actress was beautiful in a black Christian Dior gown at the Governors Awards in Hollywood, Calif.
And last week, the pregnant actress attended the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming film, Allied, alongside costar Brad Pitt. Cotillard looked radiant in a navy Christian Dior maternity dress at the event.
She recently dished on doing love scenes with her hunky costar in their upcoming romantic thriller.
“We rehearse and had a very determined choreography, and then it allows you freedom. When you know exactly what your body will do, then you can act and you can be free to give the emotions and give the feelings because you won’t think, ‘What am I going to do next? Am I going to go on top of him?’ It’s an awkward situation,” Cotillard told reporters. “We laughed because you need to get it out because this is so weird. And so you get this time of looking at each other and saying, ‘OK, this is so weird.’ And then we go into this and then I’m going on top of you and then we are going to kiss.”
And she helped the father-of-six with his French skills as well.
“He had this commitment to do the best he could, which was really, really impressive, so I helped him by being very tough,” she shared. “I was very honest with him. But at the same time, I really wanted to support him in this process that I went through, and I know how hard it is.”
Cotillard and her actor-director beau, Guillaume Canet, 43, are expecting their second child together. They are already parents to 5-year-old son Marcel.
Recently, Cotillard announced her second pregnancy, and slammed rumors that she’s responsible for the breakup between Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Meanwhile, the Fight Club star, 52, has been cleared of child abuse allegations, although his custody battle continues.
Allied hits theaters on Nov. 23.

Gorgeous like mama!
Bad Moms actress Mila Kunis stepped out with daughter Wyatt, 2, in Studio City, Calif. on Friday (November 18). While the expectant mama, 33, rocked a striped top and maternity jeans, the toddler looked adorable in all pink.
On Tuesday, we spotted the That ’70s Show alum donning another striped top and maternity jeans.
During a Wednesday appearance on Conan, Mila’s husband Ashton Kutcher talked baby names.
“There was a rallying cry from a collective that believed in the name Hawkeye,” The Ranch actor, 38, shared.
“I’m an Iowan, to have a kid named Hawkeye [after the University of Iowa football team], and it’s like, MASH,” Ashton said, referring to the character Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye” Pierce. “He could be a doctor!”
But as it turns out, “Hawkeye Kutcher didn’t fly,” he said. “Didn’t get across the Mila threshold. It came to the threshold but then it got knocked down.”
That said, they have the moniker picked out…maybe.
“We have a name dialed in which we’ve had for a while,” Kutcher said of their son on-the-way. “The problem is if you get the name too soon, there can be slight trepidation around the name. So the other day Mila was like, ‘Do you still like the name?’ I was like, ‘Yeah.’ Why was it the high-pitched ‘Yeah’?” she responded. “Why wasn’t it the low-pitched ‘Yeah’?”
He added: “And I was like, ‘Well, you like the name, right?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah.’ And I was like, ‘Wait, why did you say it like that?’ So now we’re like, ‘Maybe we don’t like the name,’ even though we both love the name. So — I think we have the name.”
Last month, we spotted Mila and Ashton at the Dodgers game in L.A.
The couple expect their son any day now.
