During a Tuesday appearance on Today, Grammy Award-winning singer Justin Timberlake opened up about family life with wife, actress Jessica Biel, and their 18-month-old son Silas.

“It changes everything,” the Mirrors singer, 35, said of fatherhood. “You literally just wake up and look in the mirror and go, ‘I have no idea what I’m doing.’”

Was his recent hit, Can’t Stop the Feeling!, written for his sweet son?

“I don’t know that [the song] was directly inspired to be something that my son could listen to of mine, because there’s a lot of music he can’t listen to of mine — at least not yet,” he shared.

Not to mention his newfound appreciation for his lovely wife.

“It’s crazy, this new appreciation for both of them [Silas and Jessica]. … It’s humiliating and it’s humbling at the same time,” he gushed.

The new dad was promoting, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, which debts on Netflix Wednesday, October 12.

What a cutie!

Grammy Award-winning singer Pink posted a photo of daughter Willow, 5, via Instagram. “The adventures of Captain Willow,” the Just Like Fire hitmaker, 37, captioned the sweet snap.

The proud mama – who raises Willow with husband Carey Hart – recently shared a throwback photo of her lil’ pumpkin.

“TBT,” the Raise Your Glass singer captioned the image of her then baby daughter inside a carved jack o’ lantern.

And in August, the singer posted a throwback photo nursing Willow in honor of breastfeeding week.

As we learned last week, Sean Penn wants us all to know that he’s currently dating/banging a 24 year old. Her name is Leila George and she’s Vincent D’Onofrio’s daughter. She’s beautiful and a wannabe actress, which I think is the point of this dalliance with Senor Ham Face from her perspective. And from Penn’s perspective… hey, the world knows that he can still “get” beautiful women under the age of 25. The thing is… Penn already had a girlfriend, at least according to Page Six.

Many people were surprised to see pictures of Sean Penn kissing 24-year-old actress Leila George in Hawaii on Thursday — not least his girlfriend. A source tells Page Six that Penn, 56, had been quietly dating a woman since the spring, and she believed that she and the star were in an exclusive relationship — until she saw the steamy shots of Penn and George smooching in the Pacific.

A pal of the scorned lover — who is said to be “heartbroken” by the development and doesn’t want to be named — was in the midst of planning a visit to Ireland to see the actor on the set of his next movie, “The Professor and the Madman.” Throughout their relationship, “it was calls, flowers, dinners, having her over to his house,” said our source. “She was leery at first,” said the pal, but eventually became convinced that “maybe he’s not this jerky-actor type.”

The source says the fling with George — daughter of actor Vincent D’Onofrio, who’s a year older than Penn — proved her pal wrong. Penn has since gone public with George, taking her as his date to an art event back in LA.

[From Page Six]

Sounds about right to me. I imagine this is his pattern post-Charlize Theron. He goes out and tries to seduce the youngest woman he can find and she probably thinks they’re dating and then he moves on without a word. My guess is that this is the kind of thing that only works on women in their early 20s too. The average woman in her 30s probably wouldn’t even bother if Penn tried this crap on her, not that he would… because he only does it to women under the age of 25.

Look who’s walking!

The Hills alum Kristin Cavallari posted a photo with daughter Saylor, 10 months, via Instagram. “My little love! #BabysFirstSteps #StopGrowingPlease,” the proud mama, 29, captioned the image of her daughter taking some of her first steps.

The “obsessed” mama went on to share one more shot of her beautiful baby girl.

“Ok, one more of my girl because, well, I’m obsessed with her,” she wrote.

The former reality star recently opened up about her happy family life with husband, NFL star Jay Cutler, and their three children, including sons Camden, 4, and Jaxon, 2.

“They eat sushi, they eat seafood, the only thing they don’t like is scallops,” the Laguna Beach alum told Us. “We’re lucky because I know how difficult it is for a lot of parents to get anything new down their kids’ throats. I’m very fortunate that mine eat healthy.”

And she’s sure her kids know the house rules as well.

“They have to clean up their toys every night,” said the mom-of-three. “They have to bring their plates over to the sink when they’re done eating dinner.”

She added: “We want them to be respectful of each other. But with two boys, sometimes that can be pretty tough. One minute they’re loving each other and the next minute they’re yelling!”

The DVD of Ghostbusters comes out today, will you get it? Everyone involved is hoping that DVD and streaming will help make up the disappointing box office take for the summer film. The reboot received decent enough reviews but it never quite shook the comparisons to the original 1984 surprise hit. And it came no where near the original’s $700 million gross. Naturally, fingers are being pointed at who is to blame for the flop. Some think the internet trolls won. Others blame botched marketing. Original Ghostbuster co-star, Ernie Hudson, thinks its because they did not develop the relationships in the film enough, which is a shame, he says, because “the girls” in it are fun.

“Ghostbusters” star Ernie Hudson says the “relationships” between characters in the female-driven reboot of the 1984 poltergeist classic didn’t compel him.

“There were things we had in the original ‘Ghostbusters,’ the relationships that I think were important, and it wasn’t in the new movie,” Hudson told us at the Epix premiere of “Graves” at MoMA.

“I knew the studio would do a sequel because honestly, there’s money there,” he said. “(Producers) thought going with the girls would keep people from comparing the two, but the fans were very adamant about what they wanted, they tried to ignore that. I think the result shows.”

“I think the girls are very talented, very funny,” he said. “It wasn’t a bad movie.”

[From New York Daily News]

This isn’t the first time he’s talked about “the girls,” and it is usually as he is praising them. I know he think his descriptions are fine, like when he called them collectively “foxy,” but they really aren’t appropriate. As we are currently witnessing the result of giving people a pass for these antiquated and clichéd terms, let’s agree that labels matter. Do better, Ernie.

What is also questionable is Ernie’s constant flip-flopping on this film. At first he questioned calling it “Ghostbusters” if they were changing it so much (i.e. all-female). Then he softened and said that if they do make it, hopefully it will be funny and if not funny than “sexy as hell.” He initially refused to appear in the remake but changed his mind once the other surviving original leads excitedly filmed their cameos. To his credit, he did back the film earnestly once on board:

Today was one of the most fun days of my career. Great respect for Paul and this amazing cast of ladies. pic.twitter.com/QpNssCDL6L

— Ernie Hudson (@Ernie_Hudson) September 20, 2015

In addition to appearing with the original cast to support the new cast on Kimmel, Ernie said, “I think a lot of the criticism will go away once they see the movie, because I think the movie is going to be pretty extraordinary.” So why the back-pedaling now? At least he hasn’t wavered on his condemnation of the hate Leslie Jones received.

I still don’t know why the movie didn’t do better. It wasn’t a great movie, but I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the first. Neither of them were works of cinematic genius but both had great casts going for them. I am still pretty excited to pick up the DVD, I hear the extended scenes and extras are great. And I do hope it makes a lot in DVD sales, so projects like the all-female Ocean’s 8 continue to get green-lighted. All female movies won’t always get it right, but they deserve the chance to be considered.

Last week, Disney announced that they were fast-tracking their live-action remake of their popular animated film Mulan. Mulan is beloved by many, many people, and many of those people were really, really worried that Disney was going to completely f—k up a live-action film. One of the biggest concerns was and is that Disney will hire white actors to play significant roles. The other big concern is that Disney will change the story significantly so that the story of a woman’s self-sacrifice and badass-ness will become all about some dude-bros.

At first, there were jokes made about all of the whitewashed “dream casts” for Mulan, like Disney was going to cast Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey or something. Disney insisted that of course they were going to hire Chinese and Chinese-American actors, which is good news (and hopefully they’ll stick with it). But then over the weekend, there were reports that the script was changed so that Mulan would have some kind of “white savior” figure. Sources say… no, but with some caveats.

Disney recently began its search for a leading lady to star in its upcoming live-action version of Mulan—an actress that, the studio clarified, will definitely be Chinese. That declaration eased concerns that the film might end up whitewashing a story based in Chinese legend, like several films that have come before it. Much of that goodwill dissipated, though, on Monday, when rumors flew that the film will feature a white male lead. Now a source close to the project has confirmed to Vanity Fair that the lead love interest in the film will be a Chinese character after all.

On Monday, someone who said they had read a Mulan spec script posted an anonymous open letter to the site Angry Asian Man. The post claimed that the script featured a white savior type, a “30-something European trader” who falls in love with a teenage Mulan. Actor Joel de la Fuente tweeted in support of the article, sharing that he also read the spec script. “I can back you up on what you’re saying. I confirm everything you said about that draft.”

A source, however, tells V.F. that the spec script will not serve as the official script for the adaptation. “The spec script was a jumping-off point for a new take on the story that draws from both the literary ballad of Mulan and Disney’s 1998 animated film,” the source said. “Mulan is and will always be the lead character in the story, and all primary roles, including the love interest, are Chinese.”

The statement seems to confirm that the spec script might have included a white male lead, which would have been disappointing had it come to fruition. However, fans should be glad to know that when the live-action movie itself eventually hits theaters, Mulan’s story will stay true to the character’s roots.

[From Vanity Fair]

So yes, there was an original script where Mulan falls in love with an older white guy who “saves” her but the script is being changed and…okay. If Disney insists that they’re committed to making this film with a primarily Chinese cast, then I choose to believe them. I think they know that they’ll be wading into a huge controversy if they don’t hire Chinese and Chinese-American actors. But! I do think that Disney is going to put some white actors and white characters in there just because they can’t help themselves.
