Over the past few years, it feels like “rose gold” is the color du jour. It keeps popping up everywhere, from electronics to jewelry to clothing and now to hair color. Kylie “Wig Starter” Jenner has debuted a new hair color on her Instagram: Rose Gold. That’s what she’s calling it. And I think I sort of agree? Kylie is a natural brunette who has been “platinum blonde” for several months. I honestly thought she was wearing wigs – since she “started wigs,” remember – this whole time. But maybe she really did go platinum blonde. And now she’s added a layer of pale pink to the blonde, and the result is… rose gold.

So here’s what I think… it actually looks kind of great? Granted, Kylie looks like a 40-year-old woman trying to achieve the perfect “sex doll” look through a mountain of plastic surgery. Granted, I think all of Kylie’s hair changes are diversions from all of her monthly surgeries. Granted, much of what Kylie does these days could be described as “cries for help.” All that being said, the rose-gold look is surprisingly awesome. It’s younger and fresher than the white-blonde she was doing, which made her look like a Hollywood madam.

Throughout this election cycle, I’ve been missing Jon Stewart so much that at times it feels like a physical ache. Jon Stewart was never “the voice” of whatever generation, but most of the time, he could make me feel better about our insane country and our insane world. While I love John Oliver and Samantha Bee (both are my dream spouses), it does feel like our comedy has been severely kneecapped this year by a bunch of dudes who don’t know how to talk about or to Donald Trump. Before this very moment, though, I didn’t realize how much I had been missing David Letterman. Trump used to go on Letterman’s show all the time, and they were friendly in a showbiz way. But Letterman gave an interview to the New York Times this week and he makes it clear that if he was still in charge of things, he would be going after Trump HARD. His interviews with Trump over the years: “I’ve known Donald Trump for a long time and I always thought he was exactly what New York City needed to have: the big, blowhard billionaire. “By God, I’m Donald Trump and I date models and I put up buildings, and everything is gold.” Nobody took him seriously, and people loved him when he would come on the show. I would make fun of his hair, I would call him a slumlord, I would make fun of his ties. And he could just take a punch like nothing. He was the perfect guest.

The breaking point for Letterman: “So now, he decides he’s running for president. And right out of the box, he goes after immigrants and how they’re drug dealers and they’re rapists. And everybody swallows hard. And they think, oh, well, somebody’ll take him aside and say, “Don, don’t do that.” But it didn’t happen. And then, I can remember him doing an impression, behind a podium, of a reporter for The New York Times who has a congenital disorder. And then I thought, if this was somebody else — if this was a member of your family or a next-door neighbor, a guy at work — you would immediately distance yourself from that person. And that’s what I thought would happen. Because if you can do that in a national forum, that says to me that you are a damaged human being. If you can do that, and not apologize, you’re a person to be shunned.

Whether Trump will be elected: “I kept telling people he will absolutely not get elected. And then David Brooks said he’ll get the nomination and he will be crushed in the general election. And I thought: Yeah, that’s exactly what’s going to happen. I stand by that. The thing about Trumpy was, I think people just were amused enough about him to keep him afloat in the polls, because nobody wanted the circus to pull up and leave town.

How Hillary Clinton used a clip from his show in one of her ads: “I was flattered. I was pleased. I felt like I still have a small voice in this. I thought it was good. Slowly but surely, everybody got sucked into this vortex. “Did you hear what Donald Trump said?” And everything downstream got worse and worse. Poor Ruth Bader Ginsburg gets sucked into it, and I’m thinking, Oh, don’t take the bait, ma’am. Then she says so-and-so and she has to apologize. Kids, if you turn off the light, the moths will stop coming.

How he would handle Trump as a guest now: “If I had a show, I would have gone right after him. I would have said something like, “Hey, nice to see you. Now, let me ask you: what gives you the right to make fun of a human who is less fortunate, physically, than you are?” And maybe that’s where it would have ended. Because I don’t know anything about politics. I don’t know anything about trade agreements. I don’t know anything about China devaluing the yuan. But if you see somebody who’s not behaving like any other human you’ve known, that means something. They need an appointment with a psychiatrist. They need a diagnosis and they need a prescription.”

This reminded me of Letterman’s longtime affection for the old-school news men like Ted Koppel, Tom Brokaw and such. Like, that’s the kind of voice we’re missing here. Someone older and stable and decent, someone with gravitas who says, “No, it’s not acceptable to say that. We can’t allow that.” Letterman does radiate an inherent decency, that vein of Midwestern authenticity. I hope people are listening.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is promoting a new line of baking kits she created called Foodstirs, She describes them as “curated, healthy baking projects and mixes” which families can make together. They range from slightly pricey at $5.99 for brownie mix (for reference Ghirardelli is $2.08 a package) to very expensive at $17.99 for a brownie pop kit that includes popsicle sticks, frosting and sprinkles. For $17.99 at least throw in a pan! I can’t fault Gellar for getting in on the celebrity product bandwagon and at least she’s putting out products that have meaning for her and her family. Plus she’s not one of those celebrities calling the paparazzi, going to every opening and talking about her kids constantly, we barely see her.

In a promotional interview with People, Gellar talks about her 14 year marriage, to Freddie Prinze, Jr., and how she doesn’t want her kids to go into show business unless they chose it, which is sensible. She has a son and daughter with Prinze, Rocky James, four, and Charlotte Grace, seven. Her son is named Rocky?! How did I forget this?

For [Sarah Michelle Gellar] it’s important to let her son Rocky James, 4, and daughter Charlotte Grace, 7, do their own thing.

“It’s different because I wasn’t the child of someone that was in the public eye, and so unfortunately I think the rules are different,” she told PEOPLE at Kids in the Kitchen at The Grove in Los Angeles on Sunday.

“I think there’s a very different pressure for ‘the children of’ … They can decide what they want to do for themselves. I’ll never push them. But, in the meantime, they have to stick to schooling. My kids have too much stage fright anyway.”

As for her 14-year marriage to Prinze? Gellar says the key to a strong relationship is putting in effort.

“It evolves daily, and anyone that tells you that relationships aren’t work isn’t in a real one — and that goes for married couples, friends, family,” she says. “It takes work. We think we’re so connected now because of these different devices, but ultimately we’re becoming more and more disconnected.”

She adds, “It’s about putting that effort in, whether it’s a girls’ night, whether it’s making the most of any moment. My partner and I believe in that. One of the reasons we started [Foodstirs] was to spend time together.”

I agree with her about relationships, but I always thought that there must be those people who just adore each other and for whom things go much easier than the rest of us, right? I’m not one of those type of people, but they exist and they end up together in mutual admiration and harmony, in some idyllic small town. (I know, TV and movies have ruined me.) I have friends I believe are like this – they’re always saying nice things about each other and they seem truly in love after twenty years together. I’m sure they get on each other’s nerves but if so you can’t tell from the outside. I guess you never really know what’s going on in someone else’s relationship though. We’ve seen that play out a lot lately.

When Lena Dunham does, says or writes something awful, many people are justifiably frustrated because Lena actually IS a smart person. She’s an educated, intelligent woman capable of critical thinking and growth. Somehow that makes it worse though – the fact that she is a smart woman makes it sting even more when she still consistently f—ks up so profoundly. I was reminded of this when I was reading through some of the interview Lena gave to The Breakfast Club (radio show) on Wednesday. She was hit with a lot of questions about all of the controversies she’s been a part of. And to her credit – ??? – she answered all of the questions head-on. She was even sort of thoughtful at times. Some highlights:

How ‘Girls’ was super-white: “I think everyone’s criticisms of Girls were totally valid…[At 23, I wanted to] write from a place of accuracy and passion and understanding,” and thus likely would not have been equipped to tell the stories of young black women with the same degree of understanding or empathy.

Telling stories with women of color: “It’s not one size fits all, and there are issues that women of color deal with that white women have no idea. White feminists do not have a great history of carrying their black sisters along with them.”

Her hopes with her Lenny letters: “[To] support female voices of color the way that our voices have been supported” and to allow these women to write their own stories “instead of trying to co-opt their stories so I have a cast that looks great on a poster.”

Long-term goals: She acknowledges that “looking back, I never want to see another poster that’s four white girls.”

On Kim Kardashian & how the media treated her: “What I really hate about this Kim thing is that people are feeling so much license to make jokes, and it’s like, that’s a human being. She may have put her life on display in this specific way, and you may not agree with everything she does, but that is a woman and a mother and a daughter who just went through something so heinous. So my heart is with Kim.”

The comments she made about Odell Beckham Jr.: “I was in my own head. It was a great lesson to me in how your humor can be misconstrued…In the written word, it did not translate. I was at the Met Ball and feeling super self-conscious… I was sitting there and had this whole projected thought process of like, ‘Odell doesn’t want to be sitting next to me. He doesn’t want to talk to me. He thinks I’m garbage. He thinks I look like a boy.’ I thought all of that was coming across, and it seemed like I was actually accusing him of some type of misogyny. I was unintentionally perpetuating the stereotype of a black man as someone who will holler at anything that’s near him. Especially, at this moment in history, we have to be hyper-vigilant about the way that we depict each other because of how much darkness and tension exists…I will be much more careful in the future about making sure my humor translate and it’s not creating destructive images.”

Are we going to nit-pick? This stood out: “White feminists do not have a great history of carrying their black sisters along with them.” That came across as both incredibly true and incredibly patronizing. Historically, white feminists have not “carried” their “black sisters” with them, that’s true. But do we still have to put it in those terms in 2016? Black women don’t expect Lena Dunham to carry them anywhere. Black women just want to point out that Lena has more access and privilege than most women of color, and they want Lena to acknowledge that fact too. But no one expects to be “carried” – it’s a matter of having a seat at the table. Still, I guess good on Lena for at least trying to create spaces where women of color have more of a voice? Eh.

It feels like Sean Penn has been searching for his next big love affair since Charlize Theron ghosted him so hard last year. Penn tried to make something with Minka Kelly happen, but it seems like that was a no-go. There were other sightings with some “mystery” 20-somethings too. But yesterday, some photos came out of Sean in Hawaii with a young woman. At first, no one could ID her and all of the sites were running headlines like “Sean Penn makes out with mystery blonde” and “Ham-Face Attacks Innocent Young Woman” (okay, I’m only teasing about that last one). So who is this young woman being seduced by Senor Ham? She’s Vincent D’Onofrio’s daughter. Hmm…

Sean Penn has a new woman in his life — and she’s got a famous dad! The actor was spotted locking lips with Leila George, the 24-year-old daughter of Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Vincent D’Onofrio, in Hawaii on Wednesday. In photos that surfaced Thursday, George, an actress and Australia native, looked cozy swimming with Penn, 56, in the Oahu ocean. Before getting out of the water, the actor held her face in his hands and landed a kiss. They were joined on the getaway by Australian actress Gracie Otto.

George was born in 1992 to D’Onofrio — who recently starred in The Magnificent Seven — and his then-girlfriend Greta Scacchi. George recently starred in the TV movie Mother, May I Sleep with Danger alongside James Franco and Tori Spelling. Her new film, The Long Home, also stars Ashton Kutcher, Josh Harnett, Robin Lord Taylor and Franco, who is also directing.

Penn, meanwhile, split with Charlize Theron in June 2015. The former couple were first photographed together in Hawaii in 2010. He was previously married to Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010, and Madonna from 1985 to 1989. Penn has two children from his marriage to Wright: daughter Dylan Frances, 25, and Hopper Jack, 23.

Didn’t Greta Scacchi also have an affair/relationship with Daniel Day Lewis? Greta had great taste in men, because Vincent D’Onofrio is amazing. He’s like Orson Welles to me – I’m attracted to him even when he’s a lot heavier. I don’t know if Vincent has much of a relationship with Leila, although I think I remember hearing over the years that he did try to be involved, even though he and Greta fell out rather spectacularly back in the day. Still, I think it’s interesting that Leila doesn’t use her father’s name. Leila D’Onofrio would sound nice, but I bet everyone would be like, “Oh, I loved your dad in Full Metal Jacket.”

Anyway, Leila is absolutely trying to make the most out of her dalliance with a Ham-Face. People is already running a “getting to know Leila George” piece, and my guess is that Leila will get some auditions out of this. Is it worth it? Would you bang a Ham-Face (who is 32 years older than you) just to further your career?

At nearly seven months along, mom-to-be Peta Murgatroyd posted an updated baby bump photo via Instagram Thursday.

“It’s the little things. We love you baby daddy @maksimc … #babychmerkovskiy is kicking through my rib cage right now. 7 months on Monday,” the Dancing with the Stars pro, 30, captioned the image donning a light blue maternity dress.

The beautiful bouquet was from fiancé, fellow DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Last month, the parents-to-be radiated the red carpet at a pre-Emmys bash in L.A.

The couple – who expect a boy in January – got engaged in December 2015. The Ukraine native proposed during a performance of Sway at the Olympia Theater in Miami, Florida.

30 Rock star Alec Baldwin and wife, yoga instructor Hilaria Baldwin, rocked the red carpet with their 3-year-old daughter Carmen on Thursday (October 6).

The trio attended the screening of Loving during the Hamptons International Film Festival in East Hampton, New York.

After the event, Hilaria posted some family photos via Instagram.

“She walked out on to the red carpet and wanted to take a picture with her bread stick,” Hilaria captioned the image.

“The moon is the mommy and the sun is the daddy” -Carmen,” she captioned the image of Alec holding their daughter.

The Departed star, 58, and wife welcomed their third child – son Leonardo Ángel Charles Baldwin – on September 12, they announced via social media.

“We are so pleased to introduce you to our new baby, Leonardo Ángel Charles Baldwin. It was such a special day bringing him into this world,” Hilaria captioned the image with her newborn.

The couple are also parents to son Rafael, 15 months. Baldwin is also dad to daughter Ireland, 20, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

This ^^ is a photo of Kim Kardashian carrying North West yesterday. This is the first time Kim has been photographed in days. The paparazzi were waiting for her outside of her NYC apartment, and they only got the family walking out of the building and into the SUVs, where Kim and the kids traveled to the airport and took a private plane back to LA. They arrived back in LA last night. Yesterday’s travel agenda also highlighted the fact that Kim and Kanye have added much more security personnel to their details – Kim’s longtime guard Pascal Duvier was there, as were some new guards. Apparently, Kanye stayed behind in New York because he’s resuming his Pablo tour tonight.

Let’s see, what else? According to TMZ, Kim has already filed the insurance claims on her stolen jewelry. I imagine there will be some criticism of Kim for filing insurance claims – because she’s criticized for everything – but I also suspect that the insurance company was notified in the hours after the robbery, don’t you? It would have to be part of the police report, and the police would need to know which pieces were stolen and how much they were worth.

Kim Kardashian is no faker … we found out the stolen ring at the center of the Paris robbery really was as advertised … insanely expensive. Kim showed the ring off frequently, and seemed happy that media outlets were setting the value in the millions. After it was stolen, Paris authorities said it was worth $4.5 million. Sources familiar with the case tell us … Kim has already submitted an insurance claim, setting the value of the ring at an even $4 million.

The insurance docs describe the ring in detail … a 20 carat emerald cut stone. According to the docs, 13 items were taken, with a total value of $5.6 million … significantly less than the reported $10 million or $11 million.

So 13 items TOTAL were taken and the value was $5.6 million, including the $4 million diamond ring? That makes sense to me… in the fashion shows she attended before the assault and robbery, she was wearing simple yellow-gold jewelry without a lot of big jewels. The biggest piece she likely brought to Paris was absolutely the 20-carat ring. She may have even borrowed some pieces from Paris jewelers too. As for the ring, an interview Kim did with Andy Cohen pre-robbery was just made public, and she talked a lot about how much she loved her new ring and how Kanye had surprised her with it after his lucrative Adidas deal went through. Kanye even had “Adidas” inscribed on the ring. Reportedly, Kanye wants to replace the ring but Kim doesn’t want him to.

E! also has a story about how Kim is still feeling really traumatized. A source tells E!: “It’s crazy to her that people, even for a second, think she is fabricating this story. She feels like no one understands her and what she been through. Kim is surrounded by her friends and family now. She is really upset and is going to speak to a therapist in deeper lengths about this.” I think that’s a good idea, for Kim to speak to a professional. It might also help for Kanye to speak to someone – I know it didn’t happen to Kanye, but I get the feeling that he’s pretty messed up about the fact that he wasn’t there to protect Kim, and he’s feeling pretty helpless too. As for the idea that Kim somehow “made this up,” Jezebel ran a story where they asked four publicists if it was possible that Kim was just making this up for attention. Every publicist said no, of course she isn’t.

For about a week now, we’ve known that Angelina Jolie’s brother James Haven has been sticking close to Angelina and the kids since Jolie filed for divorce. While James hasn’t been Angelina’s go-to premiere date in nearly 16 years, James has always been around. Angelina and James never had a falling out or an estrangement or anything – they’ve always been close and they’ve always been in each other’s lives. I honestly don’t know what James does for a living, but according to Us Weekly, he’s dropped everything so he can sort of work as a “manny” to Angelina’s kids. Hm.

All in the family. While Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt work out the terms of their divorce, Jolie’s older brother, James Haven, is currently playing manny to the couple’s six children at their temporary home in Malibu, a source tells Us Weekly.

“He took on a more active daily role in June,” the source explains. “The kids call him ‘Uncle James.’”

Haven, 43, is perhaps best remembered for sharing an infamous kiss with Jolie, 41, on the Oscars red carpet in 2000, when his younger sister, in full goth mode, won the Academy Award for best supporting actress (for Girl, Interrupted) and said, “I’m so in love with my brother right now” at the podium. The shocking moment caused fans to make accusations of incest and criticize the siblings’ too-close-for-comfort relationship. But, the source tells Us, there’s at least one important person who isn’t bothered by the brother-sister duo’s dynamic.

“Brad thinks highly of James,” the source adds. “He’s always been incredible to the kids and is welcome in his home.”

Yeah, at this point, I don’t think anyone cares if Brad “approves” of James, although I guess it’s nice that Brad isn’t throwing a tantrum about his kids’ uncle spending a lot of time with the kids during a difficult time. I think it’s less about James acting as a manny and more like he’s just a hands-on uncle and supportive brother to Angelina.

Meanwhile, People Magazine made a big deal about how Brad finally saw the kids this week. Or as People said, “Brad Pitt has reunited with his children.” He hadn’t seen the kids since Angelina bolted with them following the airplane incident, and while the DCFS investigation isn’t over, the terms of their temporary custody arrangement means that Brad gets to see the kids as long as there’s someone there to monitor him. Perhaps James Haven is the monitor? Anyway, a source told People: “Brad has spent some wonderful time with children recently.”

What a cutie!

Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio stepped out with son Noah, 4, on Thursday (October 6). While toting her smiley preschooler, the Brazilian beauty, 35, ran some errands in Los Angeles, Calif.

Later that evening, the proud mama shared a sweet snapshot with her son via Instagram.

“Sunset kisses … #homesweethome #love #myboy #calilife,” she wrote.

On Tuesday, we spotted the model mom with both of her children — including 8-year-old daughter Anja — at the Brentwood Country Mart.

The model mom has recently returned from France where she attended Paris Fashion Week.

Last month, we spotted Alessandra and Noah lunching in L.A. together.

And over the Labor Day long weekend, the model was seen with longtime love Jamie Mazur and their two kids at the Malibu Chili Cook-Off.
