Thanks to Hello! Magazine for pointing me to this lengthy post by Daisy Ridley in which she opened up about her health struggles with endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and chronic acne. It’s actually quite candid and revealing, about which Ridley seems a little self conscious. Ridley, 24, writes that she was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 15, that she recently found out she has PCOS and that she’s now dealing with bad skin, which can be a complication of PCOS. Here’s what she wrote and notice the hashtags at the end:

At 15 I was diagnosed with endometriosis. One laparoscopy, many consultations and 8 years down the line, pain was back (more mild this time!) and my skin was THE WORST. I’ve tried everything: products, antibiotics, more products, more antibiotics) and all that did was left my body in a bit of a mess. Finally found out I have polycycstic ovaries and that’s why it’s bad. I can safely say feeling so self conscious has left my confidence in tatters. I hate wearing make up but I currently don’t want to leave the house without it on. HOWEVER PROGRESS IS BEING MADE! (With some help from a dermatologist and cutting out dairy (waah, except for spontaneous ice creams) and cutting down sugar (bigger waah but gotta do what you’ve gotta do)). Finally. Finally. (Throughout all this I’ve only had people being wonderful and encouraging and occasionally making me realise I’m being ridiculous and there’s more to life)… My point is, to any of you who are suffering with anything, go to a doctor; pay for a specialist; get your hormones tested, get allergy testing; keep on top of how your body is feeling and don’t worry about sounding like a hypochondriac. I love those hashtags. I’ve heard that cutting out dairy helps reduce acne. It’s something that Woody Harrelson swears by and credits for his veganism. As far as what she wrote about sounding like a hypochondriac – people need to hear that, especially women. So many times we’re told by doctors that it’s “stress” when some simple tests would show that it’s not. Things are changing, but it can be intimidating to go to the doctor and frustrating not to get answers.

From what I understand about endometriosis it can be devastating and difficult to get a diagnosis. Other celebrities who have opened up about their battle with endometriosis include Jamie King and Lena Dunham.

Daisy isn’t letting PCOS keep her from kicking ass. She posted this video last week with highlights from her workouts and it was impressive to say the least. Her trainer seems brutal.

I’ve always been on the fence about Hopper Penn, the 22-year-old son of Sean Penn and Robin Wright. While I think their daughter Dylan turned out okay, Hopper often seems rather messy, and very much like his father at that age. Well, Hopper has a role in his dad’s terrible new film, The Last Face. TLF premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and the reviews were awful, across the board. But Hopper still has to promote it a little bit, which is how we got this amazing short interview in Interview Magazine. Hopper reveals that his dad wanted to name him “Steak.” Steak Penn. I thought for sure it would be Ham Penn.

Where Hopper lives: “L.A., unfortunately. I hate almost everything about it. I don’t fit well there, with the people. It’s very hard to find a genuine person in L.A. Also, I’m the big fan of rain and overcast weather. So it’s either Seattle or New York for me.”

Why he’s named Hopper: “It has to do with Dennis Hopper; my dad was friendly with him and idolized him. My dad wanted to name me Steak, the food, because he loves it so much. But my mom was never going to go for it. What they told me is that I hopped in her stomach, I didn’t kick, so they went with that.”

How he started acting: “Two and a half years ago, my dad was working on his movie called The Last Face, and I asked if I could PA for it. He said, “No, you’re going to act in it.” I said no, because I’m very shy; I didn’t know how to act. He said, “Well, you’ll get paid.” So I was like, “I’m onboard.” After the first day, I fell in love with it.

Whether he worries about measuring up to his parents: “My dad is a really good actor, and there are a lot of sh-tty actors, and I definitely think I’m one of them.”

Robin Wright should have let Sean name the baby Steak Penn. Let Sean (or Ham Senior, or perhaps Señor Ham) live with that choice and then see how quickly Sean admits he made a mistake by naming a baby Steak! And if we’re just naming babies by our favorite foods now, how many babies would be named Cupcake, Peanut Butter M&Ms, Potato Chips, Pecan Pie and Beer. Mojito Penn? Baked Potato Penn? Meatball Penn?

Last November, it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were keen and energized about the issues of cyberbullying and mental health. While they did a handful of appearances around their keen-ness for mental health issues, much of what happened around the issue of cyberbullying was a lot of “this is what we’re going to do at some point.” Also, Kate sort of dropped out of the issue and now William is just focused on cyberbullying and he’s getting the credit for “convening an industry-led taskforce” on the issue that the industry has already been working on for years. While I hoped for the best, I had concerns about just how empathetic William would be, and whether he would end up taking credit for work being done at different levels.

But this is a good step for William: he covers the new issue of Attitude magazine, which is an LGBT-centered magazine in the UK, much like the American magazines Out or The Advocate. William totally says the right things in his interview too. For the most part.

William says: “No one should be bullied for their sexuality. The young gay, lesbian and transgender individuals I met through Attitude are truly brave to speak out and to give hope to people who are going through terrible bullying right now. Their sense of strength and optimism should give us all encouragement to stand up to bullying wherever we see it. What I would say to any young person reading this who’s being bullied for their sexuality: don’t put up with it. You should be proud of the person you are and you have nothing to be ashamed of.”

William had invited the magazine to bring members of the LGBT community to Kensington Palace in May to listen to their experience of bullying and the mental health affects it can have. During the meeting, the group spoke with William about how bullying over their sexuality had led to low self-esteem, suicide attempts, eating disorders, depression and drug addiction.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: ‘The Duke of Cambridge is working hard to support the fight against bullying and to help break the stigma around mental health. He has established a taskforce on the prevention of cyberbullying and along with The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry is leading the Heads Together campaign on mental health and well-being. He knows that LGBT young people suffer unacceptably high rates of bullying and he was grateful to Attitude for facilitating such a serious conversation on this topic. He was moved by the stories he heard and impressed by the positivity and courage of the people he met.’

I don’t want to shrug off or negate the power, to LGBT youth, of Prince William standing up on their behalf and saying that they are who they are, that they should love and respect themselves just as they are, that no one deserves to be bullied. That’s an important message and I’m happy that William is here, putting his face on that message. But! I take issue with this: “What I would say to any young person reading this who’s being bullied for their sexuality: don’t put up with it.” That’s putting the onus on the victim to stop being victimized. As opposed to squarely telling cyberbullies “stop bullying and stop victimizing or you will be punished.” It’s like saying “Are you a victim of abuse? Don’t put up with it!”

Model mom Heidi Klum stepped out with her four children – daughters Leni, 12, and Lou, 6, and sons Henry, 10, and Johan, 9 – on Tuesday (June 14).

Joined by some friends, the Project Runway star, 43, was all smiles while walking hand-in-hand with her kids in New York City.

On Monday, we spotted the German beauty and her big brood in the Big Apple. And last week, we spotted the group also in NYC.

The mom-of-four recently enjoyed a romantic getaway with her beau Vito Schnabel, 29, in the Mediterranean.

The former Victoria’s Secret model raises her four children with ex-husband, musician Seal.

Khloe Kardashian did a lengthy interview and exclusive photoshoot with Harper’s Bazaar. The editorial is sort of interesting because, as Bazaar notes, their styling people asked Khloe “to wear minimal makeup, a natural nude nail lacquer, and no shoes.” That was the prerequisite! So, they gave Khloe a makeunder. And she looks nice, honestly. I still think her face looks plastic and her lips are killing me, but she looks a lot better when she has professional magazine stylists working with her. As for the interview, it’s pretty good – you can read the full piece here. Some highlights:

Losing weight & fashion: “I definitely think the fashion industry, and people in general, look at me more now that I’ve lost weight. Even on shoots, I would never have options for clothing. There would always be this attention on Kourtney and Kim, but I was too much work for [stylists] or they had nothing in my size. I wasn’t even that crazy big!”

She’s worked with the same stylist for years: “At my fattest, Monica would always come with racks of clothes and make me feel special. She never told me, ‘Oh, they don’t have that in your size.’ Other people actually said, ‘I just can’t work with you’—because I was too big. That always hurt my feelings, of course.”

Now those stylists offer to dress her but she refuses: “I’m just like, ‘F–k you. I’m not going to reward your bad behavior.’”

What she dislikes about being a Kardashian: “The thing I dislike the most is the judgment on us. If I want to go out with a group of friends, it’s never as harmless as that. There has to be some story the next day that I’m dating somebody.”

Dating celebrities: “I used to wonder why celebrities only dated celebrities, but when you’re in it you understand. You feel a little safer… If you’re seen with someone on your first date, you’re automatically getting married the next day. It’s so extreme! So when you’re two celebrities, you can keep it really quiet at first, to see if you even like each other. Dating someone in your world is a little easier.”

Insecurities: “I like to say I don’t care what people say about me, but that’s not true. Not wanting to go to certain places because I wonder what will be written about me the next day—I hate that I carry that with me.”

She reads the comments: “I think people who say they don’t are lying. What’s sad is that I can read 10 beautiful comments and then one bad one and I’m like, ‘Ugh!’”

Becoming a gym-rat when her marriage failed: “My home [with Odom] was dark and toxic. At the time, my family didn’t know what I was going through. It was the biggest secret I’ve kept. I just needed a place to go.” She couldn’t hide out at her mother’s house—”she would start asking too many questions”—and she was too scared to find sanctuary at a hotel (“the paparazzi would see me and it would look shady”), so she simply started going to the gym. “They had a TV and I could watch The Real Housewives on an elliptical. No one talked to me. I loved that solitude.”

The goal was never a number: “I never thought about the number. When I started seeing that I could lose weight—because I just thought my body would never change—I started taking it more seriously and eating better.” She favors Pilates and SoulCycle, but concedes that circuit training “and really intense cardio” gives her the best results. “I’m a beast at the gym. I’m super competitive and I’m a sweater. I’m like, ‘Don’t f–k with me and don’t mess up my routine.’”

She loves working out with Kourtney but not Kim: “I love that we can work out together. Because Kim sort of prances and is super cute and gorge, while Kourtney and I are dripping wet.”

I’m like Khloe before she got a trainer – I love the solitude of working out by myself, being alone with my thoughts. But I understand why she got a trainer and started taking her diet and exercise seriously too, and I believe her when she says that it was not about the numbers on the scale. She had always been “the fat one” (even though she wasn’t fat) and it must feel great to suddenly have more access to fashion and stuff now that her body is so different. The only thing I don’t really understand is why she’s all “f—k you” to the people who didn’t want to dress/style her when she was bigger? I mean, does she realize that Harper’s Bazaar wasn’t offering her editorials five years ago either?

Expectant mama Megan Fox stepped out on Tuesday (June 14).

Sporting a tee that read “Spiritual Gangster,” the Transformers star, 30, held onto a book while visiting a friend’s house in Los Angeles, Calif.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows actress recently revealed that she and her unborn baby have been communicating throughout her entire pregnancy.

“You don’t hear an audible voice, but you hear messages, if you’re open to it,” Fox said of speaking to her baby in the womb.

The mom of Noah, 3½, and Bodhi, 2, went on to describe her baby’s desire to move.

“For instance, this baby wanted me to live somewhere else,” she shared. “So we’re moving to a whole different place in Los Angeles because I feel like that’s where this baby wants to be raised.”

She added: “I also feel like this baby is telling me it’s kind of like a Wernher von Braun or an Elon Musk, like a super genius.”

The actress and her estranged husband, Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Brian Austin Green, expect their third child together.

E! has a new sort-of dating/reality show called Famously Single. It premiered last night. Basically, E! stuck eight barely “famous” celebrities in a house together and filmed their dysfunction and cat-fights. Brandi Glanville is one of the eight. Other cast members include: Aubrey O’Day, Somaya Reece (from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta), Pauly D, a dude from The Bachelorette, Calum Best and others. Guess who caused the most problems? Yeah. Brandi. I wasn’t even really aware of this show until I glanced through these absolutely hilarious quotes from People:

It wasn’t love at first sight for Brandi Glanville and her Famously Single cast mates. In an exclusive sneak peek at Tuesday’s premiere of the new E! series, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum instantly alienates a few of her housemates with her signature brassiness.

After Glanville mentions that she brought along sex toys for the two-week experience, former Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star Somaya Reece gives her snap judgment in an interview: “Brandi, she’s a real typical type of basic chick. She’s very mediocre.”

Dumblonde singer Aubrey O’Day adds in a separate interview: “I met Brandi about a month ago. It was probably the most painful 45 minutes that I’ve had in a long time. I had to, like, reduce my mind a lot to converse with her.”

Several cast members revealed at a recent party for the series that things will start off rocky and get even more heated as the show progresses.

“We didn’t quite mesh with her,” O’Day, 32, told PEOPLE at the event. Explained Reece, 32: “We’re strong. We went head to head. The first episode is explosive.”

Glanville herself confirmed that she and Reece “almost got into a physical fight on day one” – though the former model, 43, is pointing a finger in another direction: “It was kind of Aubrey getting into everyone’s heads and manipulating and saying, ‘We don’t like Brandi.’ And I was like, ‘Is this Housewives again? This is so stupid.’ Finally I was like, ‘You guys! No one’s getting voted off, we’re not on Survivor. No one’s winning a million dollars. We’re here for ourselves, stop!’ And it took a little while, but it did stop. And once it stopped, and all the walls came down, we all became really close.”

Is it possible to sort of like Brandi AND agree that “she’s a real typical type of basic chick. She’s very mediocre”? Because that’s how I feel too. I sort of like her in spite of everything and I think she’s the most basic Becky ever. As for Aubrey O’Day saying that she had to “like, reduce my mind a lot to converse with her”??? OMG. I’m not even sure that works as a burn. It’s a self-burn to say that you have to “reduce your mind” to speak to someone.

Blac Chyna is preparing for the baby.

Amid some 4moms boxes, the expectant mama, 28, Instagrammed an image posing in a casual gray jumpsuit which showcased her growing baby bump.

The model and her fiancé Rob Kardashian, 29, are set to star in the upcoming E! reality show, Rob & Chyna.

“Like no lie, my goal is to gain 100 lbs. this pregnancy,” the mom-to-be previously said in a Snapchat video. “I’mma tear it up, and then I’mma snap back.”

She added that she was “having a really good pregnancy. No morning sickness, no cravings, just baby.”
