Carrie Underwood is Expecting Baby No. 2 With Husband Mike Fisher: ‘We Are Over the Moon’

Carrie Underwood will soon be on diaper duty again! The country singer is pregnant with baby no. 2 with husband Mike Fisher, 38. The 35-year-old singer announced the joyous news in an Instagram video on Wednesday, August 8. The couple is already proud parents to their 2-year-old son Isaiah.

“Mike, Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another fish to our pond. We’re just so excited and glad you guys can share this with us and be a part of it. Love you guys!” The American Idol alum also used the opportunity to promote her latest album release Cry Pretty which is due out on September 14. We will see you on the road in 2019!”

Fans have wondered when Carrie would give her son Isaiah a sibling for quite some time. Carrie has admitted in the past that Isaiah may not be so stoked when that time would come. Back in April 2017, she revealed, “If a dog climbs up on my lap, I feel like he gets a little jealous!”

Don’t expect Underwood and her retired ice hockey player hubby to stop at two children. In an interview for Redbook‘s September issue, the country singer revealed she and Mike hope to continue to expand their family via adoption down the road.

“We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older,” she shared. “In the meantime, we’re lucky to be part of organizations that help kids, because our focus right now in our lives is helping as many kids as possible.”

The couple’s exciting baby news comes after celebrating eight years of marriage. The duo married in July 2010 in Greensboro, Georgia at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation.
