Busy weekend in Hollywood. Halloween parties all over the place. Katy Perry went to several of them. Maybe that’s why Taylor Swift went to none of them? Taylor’s been pretty quiet since going to Drake’s birthday party last week. And Halloween can be a good diversion.

So here’s the speculation…

Grammy Award-winning singer Adele covers the December issue of Vanity Fair and opens up about suffering from postpartum depression after welcoming son Angelo with beau Simon Konecki in October 2012.

On suffering from postpartum depression: “My knowledge of postpartum—or post-natal, as we call it in England—is that you don’t want to be with your child; you’re worried you might hurt your child; you’re worried you weren’t doing a good job. But I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate; I felt like I’d made the worst decision of my life. It can come in many different forms…You’re constantly trying to make up for stuff when you’re a mom.”

On suffering from depression for years: “I have a very dark side. I’m very available to depression. I can slip in and out of it quite easily. It started when my granddad died, when I was about 10, and while I never had a suicidal thought, I have been in therapy, lots.”

On how her social life has changed since motherhood: “I don’t mind, because of the love I feel for him. I don’t care if I don’t ever get to do anything for myself again. Having a hangover with a child is torture. Since I’ve had my baby, I’m not as carefree as I used to be. I’m scared of a lot of things now because I don’t want to die; I want to be around for my kid. I’m very cautious.”

On quitting drinking: “I used to love to be drunk, but as I got more famous I would wake up the next morning and think, ‘What the f–k did I say and who the f–k did I say it to?’ I can see from an outsider’s perspective that I will never write songs as good as the ones that are on 21, but I’m not as indulgent as I was then, and I don’t have time to fall apart like I did then. I was completely off my face writing that album, and a drunk tongue is an honest one. I would drink two bottles of wine, and I would chain-smoke. Then I’d write the lyrics down and the next morning think, ‘F–k, that’s quite good.’”

On her partner of five years Simon Konecki: “It’s the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in; we’ve got a child together and we live together. I have no desire to be with anyone in show business, because we all have egos. He’s not threatened by any stage of my life that I’m going for, and that’s an amazing thing.”

On the 14-year age gap with Simon: “After releasing my first album, all the other people I ever was with were so insecure about themselves—they couldn’t handle it at all. When I try to describe this to my friends they don’t always get it, because they go out with people that are our age, but Simon is already who he is, and I’m still becoming who I’m going to be. He’s confident. He’s perfect.”

On her priorities: “All of my relationships are more important to me than any tour I’ll ever do. If my relationship with Simon or my relationship with Angelo started to flounder a bit now, I would pull out of my tour. My life is more important to me than anything I’m doing because how the f–k am I supposed to write a record if I don’t have a life? If I don’t have a real life, then it’s game over anyway.”

Expectant mama Katherine Heigl stepped out for coffee with husband, musician Josh Kelley, on Saturday (October 29) in Los Angeles, Calif.

Wearing a white maternity tee, the Grey’s Anatomy alum, 37, paired her maternity ensemble with a denim top and black leggings.

Last weekend, we spotted the pair with their two daughters – Naleigh, 7, and Adalaide, 4 – shopping in Glendale.

Earlier this month, the Doubt actress posted a photo of her daughters dressed in their Halloween costumes.

The Knocked Up actress and the Naleigh Moon singer, 36, are currently expecting a son.

Miracles From Heaven star Jennifer Garner stepped out with her three children – daughters Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and 4-year-old son Samuel – on Sunday (October 30).

While holding onto umbrellas, the famous family braved the rain after church in Los Angeles, Calif.

Earlier this month, we spotted the Danny Collins actress, 44, doing the school run in L.A.

The actress is co-parenting her three children with estranged husband Ben Affleck.

The Gone Girl star, 44, recently gushed about his lovely ex.

“I’m so impressed by it — her and everything she does,” Affleck said of Garner. “She’s a great mom and that’s how it is.”

The former couple announced their plans to split in June 2015, and are trying their “best” to make co-parenting work.

“We both take them trick-or-treating,” Affleck said, adding that they don’t have their costumes picked out yet. “They’re still working on it. They haven’t decided on a character. I’m not gonna dress up this year. I’m gonna go as Dad.”

New mom Nicole “Coco” Austin posted festive photos of daughter Chanel, 11 months, dressed in various Halloween costumes.

The proud mama went on to shared more snaps of her adorable tot who is set to celebrate her first Halloween.

“Oh no,my little Snow White ate the apple!! LOL @babychanelnicole 2nd look for Halloween,” she wrote.

And the baby girl looked so cute as a monkey.

“I got 5 Halloween costumes for Chanel.. Over the week I’m gonna post them all. Here is her lil monkey suit.. Years ago Ice named me monkey neck cuz I like to climb on him when he is busy with other things..the nickname has transfered to Chanel so it was only right I get her a monkey costume…lol,” Coco captioned the image.

When Jennifer Lopez’s side-eye says it all.

Well, this was not how I expected the penultimate weekend before the election to go. I honestly expected more disclosures about Donald Trump, perhaps more sexual assault claims, or something about his taxes, or something about his dodgy foundation. But no. On Friday, FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to congressional committee chairs and ranking members, informing them that the FBI was “reviewing” some new information in Hillary Clinton’s email probe, the same probe that was closed down over the summer with no charges being brought against her. We found out that the FBI was investigating Anthony Weiner’s inappropriate contact with a minor, and while reviewing his computers, they came across emails belonging to Huma Abedin, HRC’s long-time aide and “second daughter.”

What followed was absolute chaos. Within 24 hours, Democratic leaders were attacking Director Comey, and Trump was declaring victory. What seemed like tightening polls now seems like a complete rejiggering of the electoral map. Reportedly, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and other DOJ officials warned Comey against sending the letter because every DOJ and FBI protocol requires not commenting on ongoing investigations. People within the FBI say that Comey felt he had to inform Congress officially, lest people within the FBI leak the information anyway.

Former AG Eric Holder wrote a Washington Post op-ed where he explained why Comey’s actions were wrong – go here to read. Senate gremlin Harry Reid also had something to say, and it was such a mic-drop moment, I have to post his open letter to Comey:

Your actions in recent months have demonstrated a disturbing double standard for the treatment of sensitive information, with what appears to be a clear intent to aid one political party over another. I am writing to inform you that my office has determined that these actions may violate the Hatch Act, which bars FBI officials from using their official authority to influence an election. Through your partisan actions, you may have broken the law. The double standard established by your actions is clear.

In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government – a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity. The public has a right to know this information. I wrote to you months ago calling for this information to be released to the public. There is no danger to American interests from releasing it. And yet, you continue to resist calls to inform the public of this critical information.

By contrast, as soon as you came into possession of the slightest innuendo related to Secretary Clinton, you rushed to publicize it in the most negative light possible. Moreover, in tarring Secretary Clinton with thin innuendo, you overruled longstanding tradition and the explicit guidance of your own Department. You rushed to take this step eleven days before a presidential election, despite the fact that for all you know, the information you possess could be entirely duplicative of the information you already examined which exonerated Secretary Clinton.

As you know, a memo authored by Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates on March 10, 2016, makes clear that all Justice Department employees, including you, are subject to the Hatch Act. The memo defines the political activity prohibited under the Hatch Act as “activity directed towards the success or failure of a political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group.” The clear double-standard established by your actions strongly suggests that your highly selective approach to publicizing information, along with your timing, was intended for the success or failure of a partisan candidate or political group.

Reid ends his letter by reminding Comey that it was Senate Republicans who initially blocked his nomination as Director of the FBI while Reid and Democrats pushed it through. Reid says he did that because he believed Comey was “a principled public servant. With the deepest regret, I now see that I was wrong.” Oooh, I hope Comey gets some ice for the burn.

While I see how Comey felt he was between a rock and a hard place, it really does seem like… he was substituting his own agenda when he should have been following policy and protocols? Also, does the FBI have information about Trump’s ties to Russia which they haven’t shared? Where’s Comey’s letter to Congressional leaders about that?

It feels like it’s been a while since the British tabloids tried to make something happen with Prince Harry and some random woman. The last time – ?? – it happened, I think it was when some people thought Harry should get together with Athina Onassis, who split with her husband this year. While I didn’t think Athina and Harry were happening at all, they would have made more sense than this weekend’s story. According to the Express, Harry has been quietly and casually dating actress Meghan Markle. You may know Markle because she’s an actress who has appeared on shows like Suits and Fringe. She’s brunette and 35 years old (to Harry’s 32). While I don’t think Harry exclusively dates blondes, I do think he’s going to end up marrying a blonde, so I already believe that nothing is going to happen with Meghan long-term!! But here are the basics:

Prince Harry is secretly dating a stunning US actress, model and human rights campaigner. Friends say the red-haired royal Romeo, often dubbed the world’s most eligible bachelor, has fallen for 35-year-old Meghan Markle. Insiders say Harry, 32, is “besotted” with the actress, best known for her role as Rachel Zane in American TV legal drama Suits. In recent weeks royal watchers have noticed that Harry, fifth-in-line to the throne, has had a notable spring in his step and can’t stop smiling.

“He’s happier than he’s been for many years,” said a source close to the Prince last night. “He’s in a very relaxed period of his life and Meghan has come along at the right time. They are taking each week as it comes and just enjoying each other’s company but it’s fair to say that they love seeing each other and there’s a definite chemistry between them. Harry has been desperate to keep the relationship quiet because he doesn’t want to scare Meghan off. He knows things will change when their romance is public knowledge but he also knows he can’t keep it a secret for long. It’s too early to say if the relationship will lead to anything long-term but who knows? At the moment they are just taking it a step at a time and seeing how things develop.”

It is thought Harry met Meghan in May when he was in Toronto to promote the Invictus Games for disabled Servicemen. Meghan, who was born in Los Angeles, has lived in Toronto for several years and made it her home because Suits is filmed there. She married her long-term boyfriend, film producer Trevor Engelson, in Jamaica in 2011, but the couple split after just two years. Some claim they have divorced. Others say they are still married but separated. Ironically Engelson, 40, bears a close physical similarity to Harry. Meghan’s most recent boyfriend was a top Toronto chef, but at the moment she lives with just her two rescue dogs Bogart and Guy.

She has made several visits to London and has been on discreet dinners with Harry and out with his friends. Friends say Harry has been treated to her “excellent cooking” and they both enjoy yoga. She has stayed with him at Kensington Palace and met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“William and Kate really liked her and she fitted in straight away,” added the insider. “Meghan is a very confident and intelligent woman and she’s not overawed mixing with royalty. That’s one of the things Harry admires about her.”

She was seen enjoying the tennis at Wimbledon in the Royal Box on June 28 and July 4. She also posted a picture on her Instagram page of a visit to Buckingham Palace on July 5. Harry was in London during that period, joining Coldplay on stage at a Kensington Palace charity gig on June 28.

Nope. I mean, it’s totally possible that they’re dating, and I’ll admit it, the evidence that the Express gives is pretty interesting. Why would she be in the royal box if she wasn’t dating someone connected, hm? But if Meghan is dating Harry, they have no future together. It’s not because she’s brunette (although that might work against her!). It’s not because she’s American (although that doesn’t help at all). It’s because she’s already got one starter marriage under her belt. The Queen loves her ginger grandson a great deal, but Harry would never get his granny’s permission to marry a three-years-older American divorcee. It would be shades of Wallis Simpson! I’ll totally buy that Harry and Meghan are hooking up though! And I bet it’s hot.

PS… There’s an alternate reason why she was in the royal box at Wimbledon: she has some sort of connection to Boris Becker? They do charity work together or something.

You guys know that Halloween is my least favorite holiday, right? It’s true. I love Christmas. I love Thanksgiving. I love Easter (Easter candy is amazing, plus bunnies!). I love the Fourth of July. But Halloween sucks. No matter what year it is, no matter how many conversations we have about inappropriate Halloween costumes, no matter how many times people are like “please just wear a witch costume and call it day,” there are still people who don’t get it. Hilary Duff and her boyfriend Jason Walsh are two of those people.

Duff and Walsh attended the Casamigos Halloween party this weekend. They decided to do theme-couple costumes. Hilary was the “pantless pilgrim” and Jason was “the Native American.” Again, stop it. Someone’s race is not a costume. Someone’s culture is not a costume. What else is there to say about this besides STOP DOING THIS. Jason Walsh did issue an apology, saying: “I meant no disrespect. I only have admiration for the indigenous people of America. In hindsight I would not have made that decision. I apologize to anyone I may have offended.” Why do people still suck at apologizing? Just say “I’m really sorry. I’m an idiot.” Duff also apologized:

Fine. Whatever. This is why I hate Halloween!

Two incidental things. One, Chris Hemsworth also “dressed up” as a Native American/First Nations person for a New Year’s Eve party last year. Last week, he finally got around to apologizing for it – you can see his Instagram here. His apology was actually really comprehensive and it wasn’t “sorry you were offended.” Second incidental thing: as football season heats up, I still can’t believe that the Washington team is still allowed to call themselves that name. We wouldn’t, as a society, stand for a football team being named a derogatory word for African-Americans or Hispanic Americans or Asian-Americans. Why do we continue to allow it for the Washington football team?
