Johnny Depp is a mess. It is known. The only headlines about Depp these days are bad ones: he’s being sued by his ex-bodyguards, he’s being sued for drunkenly assaulting a location manager, he was drunk and high throughout his messy AF Rolling Stone interview. Also, he seems to have lost a lot of weight recently and he just looks unwell, and like there’s no turning back. Since I sat there and read the whole Rolling Stone piece, I know that Depp has some shady motherf–kers around him nowadays, including one guy who seems to be in deep with Russian mobsters. I believe that Depp doesn’t have anyone around him telling him “no” or “that’s a bad idea” or “let it go, dude.” Which might explain why the Daily Mirror published this:

Hollywood icon Johnny Depp claims his ex-wife Amber Heard “punched him twice in the face” for being late to her birthday party. The allegation emerged in legal documents as the Pirates of the Caribbean star sues a newspaper in the High Court. The actor was livid at a report claiming he is a wife-beater and criticising his casting in Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

In papers Depp’s lawyers lodged in the Queen’s Bench Division, they say he arrived two hours late for Heard’s birthday dinner in April 2016. They claim after the guests left, Heard, 32, “began criticising the claimant for being late”.

According to the papers, Depp was “not drunk or high on drugs” and had gone to bed when “Ms Heard, who had been drinking, became aggressive and violent… punching him twice in the face”. Depp, 55, “defended himself by grabbing Ms Heard’s arms to stop her punching again and told her to stop. He pushed her away on to the bed and told her he was leaving and that she should not follow him.”

There’s more but you get the idea. It’s not that Depp just tossed out some legal papers and only the Daily Mirror got their hands on them – this claim is part of some kind of libel case that Depp is bringing against… Amber? I don’t really know. But I do know that not even TMZ, which used to be Depp Apologist Central, hasn’t even bothered to report on this case. When asked for comment, Amber’s lawyer said:

“These allegations are totally false. One needs only read the recent Rolling Stone article about Mr. Depp and the lawsuit filed against him by a location manager, among many other recent news stories and lawsuits, to understand his state of mind.”

So… yeah, there you go. I imagine that Depp got high and thought this would be a good idea, and none of his sycophants would tell him no, so he dictated to his new lawyer this story about Amber punching him in the face while HE was sober. The thing that’s most sad to me? Johnny Depp thinks he’s being clever. Literally thousands of abusers try this same exact tactic, of accusing their victim of being “the real abuser.” *bangs head against wall*

I do feel sorry for the Duchess of Sussex, but I also don’t believe that she’s some sad sack who has taken to her bed in the wake of her father’s toxic shenanigans. I mostly believe that Meghan was well aware of who and what her father is before now. She had learned years ago that she couldn’t count on him, that he was a toxic s.o.b. So I don’t really know what to make of all of these stories about “Saint Kate is looking after poor Meghan now.” I think it’s possible that Kate and Meghan have struck up a friendship, but I just don’t buy that Kate is showing Meghan any particular support or guidance regarding the Thomas Markle situation. Anyway, People Magazine did a short interview with royal historian Robert Lacey, who claims that Meghan has formed a deep bond with both Kate… and the Queen.

When it comes to feeling supported within the royal family, Meghan Markle has the ultimate champion in husband Prince Harry, but she also has two very senior royals to lean on as she adjusts to her new life: Queen Elizabeth and Kate Middleton. Since officially becoming a royal after her wedding on May 19, Meghan has had high-profile outings with both the Queen and Princess Kate. And their relationships are strengthening behind the scenes as well.

“What’s characterized these months are the two great relationships that she has struck up with the Queen and with Catherine,” Robert Lacey, historical consultant for The Crown, tells PEOPLE. “They seem to be her closest friends and partners in the official set-up.”

In fact, Meghan’s royal stamp of approval came very early on from a few beloved members of the Queen’s entourage: her corgis.

“Harry gave the clue to it when in the [engagement] interview he talked about how well the corgis had taken to her instantly. That seems to be a metaphor for the Queen and everybody else has taken their cue from that,” Lacey adds.

Lacey doesn’t know sh-t. Let’s be real. Lacey is just out here in the cheap seats, like everybody else, trying to figure out what’s happening behind the scenes by looking at photos of video of their public appearances. I could call myself a royal expert too: judging from photos and videos, I’ll say that the Queen is utterly charmed by Meghan and the Queen has taken a keen interest in helping Meghan adjust. I also believe that the Queen is keen on being seen as accepting Meghan publicly. The Queen doesn’t want anyone to write stories about how Meg is not in her favor. As for Kate… well, I still believe Kate and Carole are plotting *something* but that’s just my suspicious nature. I’m not some fancy-smancy royal historian, that much is clear.

Jennifer Lopez never dresses in demure, subdued fashions – but that’s one of the reasons why I love her. She may be thirsty and extra, but she OWNS it. And she was giving us vintage “Jenny from the Block” in this ensemble Tuesday on the way to MTV Studios and Music Choice HQ in New York City.

I’m sure that when she put this outfit together, it wasn’t the first time she pondered “pants or no pants?” but I feel she found a compromise here, pairing a loose-fitting, long-sleeved micro mini shirt dress with a pair of knee-high denim boots, compete with pockets and a little belt. What would you call those? Joots? Beans?

The boots are from Versace’s Resort 2019 collection, and they proudly tweeted about Jennifer modeling them.

I know they’re ridiculous, but somewhere in the back of my mind, I keep looking at them and thinking they’re kind of cute. And mind you, I would never wear them – I like my denim covering my whole leg, and my hips – but for some weird reason, I don’t mind them on Jen. And, I actually like this shirtdress/boots look better than the gold satin sweatsuit-style outfit she was spotted in later in the day. That ponytail though. It’s pulled back so tightly its giving me a headache.

In other news, I have to congratulate Jennifer on being this year’s recipient of the MTV Video Vanguard Award. She’s following in the footsteps of divas including Beyonce and Madonna, with of whom have had their share of interesting fashion choices. I look forward to seeing what Jennifer will wear to the ceremony, which is being held on August 20.

For a glorious two weeks, we got the old Taylor Swift back. She was doing daily pap strolls in New York, she was wearing “cute” new ensembles and showing off her collection of cat t-shirts and snake gear. Then it all went away for several days, as Taylor was hard at work on her tour. On Wednesday, she was back in new York and she got pap’d on her way into her apartment building. She wore really cute sneakers, track shorts and a hoodie. What’s interesting about these photos is that even though she seemed to be wearing a cute outfit on purpose, I also get the feeling that this stroll wasn’t really a stroll. Maybe she didn’t want to be pap’d. And I have some thoughts as to why.

Karlie Kloss got engaged last week, or at least that’s when she announced her engagement. Ever since Karlie’s announcement, Taylor has been in the wind – yesterday was the first time she got pap’d since July 22nd (Karlie announced on the 24th). Put two and two together: Taylor didn’t want to be seen right after Karlie got engaged. Maybe Tay doesn’t even want to be seen right now. It’s especially remarkable given that Karlie posted a video where she told all of her closest friends about her engagement – just quick reaction shots from an assortment of Karlie’s nearest and dearest. And Taylor was nowhere to be seen.

Of course it’s worth noting that Taylor has not made ANY kind of public reference to Karlie or her engagement. Is it possible that Taylor congratulated her friend privately and just didn’t want to do it on Twitter or Instagram? Sure, it’s possible. But… I just think that whatever happened between these two was so bad that Taylor doesn’t even want to be SEEN when Karlie announced her engagement. Taylor is the champion grudge-holder, and speaking as someone who can hold a massive grudge for a very long time, this is like looking into a mirror. Taylor and Karlie didn’t have a mature, adult “growing apart” as friends. They had a massive falling out and Taylor is still f–king pissed at her.

All of which to say… maybe Karlie doesn’t give a f–k about Taylor either at this point. Karlie’s already spent time with Snake Enemy Katy Perry. And then this week, Karlie was photographed with HARRY STYLES. The Snake Fam was in shambles. So there you go. Everything that’s happening is all about The Enigma of Kaylor’s End. Ahead of the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ premiere, Kim Kardashian sat down and wrote an essay for Wealthsimple about life, money and her three kids. Kim is still trying to convince us that she doesn’t spoil her kids, which… I still don’t believe. At all. I’ve seen the ‘grams – North, Saint and Chicago all have full wardrobes of designer clothes. They travel the world by private jet and their family vacations involve million-dollar Airbnbs. But I do believe some of what she writes, oddly enough. Some highlights from Kim’s essay:

On gift-giving: “I worry about giving my kids too much. We don’t do gifts. They have to really earn it. But we talk about it all the time, about not getting too much and just trying to be as grounded and well-rounded as possible.”

Post-Paris robbery, she changed: “I don’t like presents anymore. I just don’t want that stuff right now. I don’t buy a lot. I used to buy myself something every birthday and just be like, ‘OK, if I work hard all year then I can treat myself to something—like a car or a pair of earrings. Something that I really wanted all year. But I’ve been getting rid of my cars. I used to really care. I loved cars. I still like them and I have a certain look, but I don’t care like I used to.”

She always worked: “I always was working. I never asked people for money. That was never really my thing. I always just figured it out.” Now, Kim is unsure if “it will be the same” for her kids. “It’s a different time. I don’t know if I’m going to do that. I’d have to discuss that with Kanye.”

She’s on a strict budget: “I don’t talk about specifics; I find that to be tacky and just inappropriate.” Rest assured, she writes, “I’m really on top of my financial situation. I do everything. I see everything, write every check—I’m on top of every last detail. I was always taught to be like that. It’s definitely helpful to have a manager or someone pay your bills so they go out on time, but I think once you start giving too much control away, you could really lose sight of what you have and what you need to do, especially if you spend a lot and have a big lifestyle.”

She knows what she spends monthly: “[I know] what it costs to run my household. It’s hard all the time to stick within a budget, for sure, but I think it’s a good guideline. And I’m the type of personality where I’m like, ‘OK, I really want to buy this, so I have to make this in order to be able to buy that for myself.’ So, I’ll make it happen.”

She’s been downsizing: “which has been making my managers happy… Kanye is a bigger shopper than me. He has big archives of stuff…”

What I believe: I believe Kim is good with money, and that she knows where her money is going, and that she doesn’t spend like a drunken sailor. I also believe that Kanye is terrible with money, and that he should just put Kim in charge of every financial decision for their family and their careers. I also believe that Kim – more than any of the other daughters – is her mother’s daughter. Kim learned a lot from her dysfunctional relationship with Lucifer’s Homegirl. And I think Kim is going to be a lot like Kris, especially with the kids.

All that being said, I enjoyed this – I wish more celebrities would talk about fiscal responsibility and how they deal with the wealth they’ve amassed.

I’ve been having a FASHION withdrawal, so I am so very glad that Celine Dion is back and blessing us with her latest look.

The fashion-obsessed 50-year-old chanteuse, who was the most delightful thing about Paris Fashion Week last year, is currently enthralling Australian audiences while on her Live 2018 tour. She may be a busy lady, but she’s always got time for modeling some designer duds. On Monday she posted a shot reclining in a chair, decked out in a classic red plaid print from Calvin Klein’s 205W39NYC line. While the dress is nice, the star of this shot are Celine’s boots. Oh, those boots.

The fire engine red, over the knee stiletto boots, a collaboration of Jimmy Choo with Virgil Abloh’s Off-White label, are made of satin and encased in clear plastic. The boots retail for $1795, but glamour gals on a budget can find them as low as $898. The ensemble is truly, as Celine herself put it, “Fierce.”

I forgot how entertaining Celine’s Instagram feed is. She loves fashion, and I love her for that, leather overalls and everything. Never stop being you, Celine.

The Bachelor star Erica Rose just gave birth to her second child. People shared the details about her new baby. Erica and her husband Charles Sanders have welcomed daughter Aspen Rose Sanders. Erica shared the news saying, “Welcome to the world Aspen Rose Sanders. We love you so much,” wrote the new mom of two. “Our family already feels more complete. ??????? #babygirl #sisters #girlmom #newborn.”

She shared a while back that they already knew they were expecting a little girl. Erica seemed really happy that another daughter was on the way.

Erica Rose revealed the news by sharing it on her Instagram page. She posted several pictures from the delivery room today. This is the second little girl for Erica Rose. Her first daughter is from ex-fiancé Galen Gentry. Erica and Charles got married in Texas last December. The two seem really happy together.

So far, Erica Rose hasn’t shared all of the details such as how big her daughter was or if everything went well in the delivery room. From the picture, it looks like mom and daughter are both doing well. This is great news for the Bachelor Nation’s newest baby. So many people from the show have moved on to find love and start a family.

No word yet on if they plan to have more children in the future. Erica Rose seems to love being a mom so you never know. The couple may decide to try for a boy at some point like so many people do.

If you remember, Erica Rose was on Lorenzo Borghese’s season of The Bachelor. These two got along well, but he didn’t pick her in the end. Erica was also on two seasons of the show Bachelor Pad and didn’t find love there either. She also didn’t win the big prize, but Erica didn’t really seem to need the money anyway.

The fans are glad to hear that Erica Rose is doing so well. The reality star seems to be living her best life now that she has moved on from her time on television.
