Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz‘s 2-year-old son Genesis can drop a beat!

“In the middle of my #NoCommissionShanghai Genesis wanted me to hear his new beat 1234567,” the proud papa, 38, Instagrammed the cute clip before mentioning his son’s outfit choice. “Thx @brooklyn_lighthouse on the gear.”

Not to be outdone, the couple’s 6-year-old son Egypt wrote his first song a few months ago.

“Proud Dad Alert. Egy wrote his 1st song Super-boy,” he captioned the video of his son at the piano. “Wait for the fancy fingers at the end. Kids you gotta love em #Dedication #hardwork EGY-Keys-Beatz.”

The Fallin‘ hitmaker, 36, and the music producer are raising their sons to be politically-aware individuals.

“The We Are Here Movement [a wide-ranging social-justice organization founded by Keys] will stand in support of Hispanics, refugees, people of color, Muslims, and anyone who feels afraid in the upcoming Trump era,” she recently said.

She added: “I have a hope that President Trump, as a New Yorker, will have more liberal views than his campaign rhetoric suggests and that in the end our system of justice will prevail. But it does hurt that racism was not a deal breaker for millions in the election. However, as an artist, I expect to continue to use my voice for things that matter, as I have since the beginning of my career. That won’t change. As an activist, I will continue to fight for what’s right. That won’t change, either. It’s time for all of us to be engaged. As a mother, I am a lioness.”

Ivanka Trump’s neighbor came outside to cheer on queer protestors while drinking wine in a fur coat.

— Cole Ledford (@ColeLedford11) April 3, 2017

Over the weekend, LGBTQ protesters did a big, loud, dance-filled protest outside of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s Washington home. Jared and Ivanka are renting a mansion in the ritzy Kalorama neighborhood of DC, and their neighbors absolutely loathe them. The Secret Service detail on Ivanka’s family is making everything a living hell for the neighborhood and the neighbors have already been shading the sh-t out of Ivanka and Jared to press outlets. So when the protesters showed up this weekend, one beautifully petty neighbor decided to watch the protest from her front porch. This hero’s name is Dianne Bruce, and the photo of a fur-coat-clad Ms. Bruce smiling whilst enjoying a glass of wine has gone viral. So much so that both People Magazine and Cosmo did interviews with her. She is hilarious. She told People:

Why she watched the protest: “I couldn’t resist, it was just great fun, it really was. I love seeing people having fun and doing what they do. It added pizazz to the neighborhood.”

Why she wore a fur coat: “I went back in, it was chilly enough, and I thought I’d grab the first thing I could find. It wasn’t a statement or anything, it was just neighbors enjoying some fun on a Saturday night.”

She loved all of the protest-dancing: “They put on quite a show. My car was parked on the street and they walked right by it. It was very well done. There was no trash left, and they were gone by 9:30.”

She says the Kushner-Trumps have been “a little disruptive”: “When Ivanka and Jared’s children go to the park, they closed down the whole park so the children can play, that annoys people.” Ivanka’s house is on a corner, “and they have big ugly saw horses and crowd control-gates all over, and we’re not allowed to walk on the sidewalk,” Bruce says, “and they put a porta potty on the street (for the Secret Service) around the corner….I don’t know why they picked that house, it’s not a very private house. We were all sort of surprised she picked that house.”

[From People]

She also spoke to Cosmo and she talked about how much she enjoyed watching all of the dancing. She says they put on a great show and most of the neighborhood came out to watch the protesters. She also says that the Obamas now live down the road and they’re not anywhere near as disruptive, and that President Obama goes for walks sometimes with a small detail and he always waves hello. *cough*

Jennifer Lopez And Giuseppe Zanotti Celebrate Their New Shoe Collaboration

I don’t think I’ve ever really cared about French Montana? I learned his name – his stage name – when he dated Khloe Kardashian several years ago and when they broke up, I was sort of happy about it because I didn’t get them at all. Nowadays, French Montana is dating Iggy Azalea and… I don’t know, he’s probably still working in music, maybe. French Montana’s real name is Karim Kharbouch and he’s from Morocco. Racially speaking, no one considers him black, but beyond that… I feel uncomfortable trying to define his race or ethnicity. Some Moroccans don’t consider themselves to be ethnically Arab, but some do (and some are). I bring this up because French Montana is considered by many in the African-American community to be something of a culturally-appropriating douchebag, a culture-vulture of the highest order (much like his girlfriend Iggy, come to think of it). He’s the kind of guy who thinks he can call out an African-American woman for having “nappy” hair. Ooooo….

So, here’s what happened. Twitter user Chill Bill tweeted this yesterday:

The fact that French Montana thinks anyone cares about him.. ?

— chill bill (@artdecoxxx) April 6, 2017

If you go to her profile (which French Montana did), you can see that she’s a beautiful black woman. Well, French Montana searches his name for any mentions and he saw this tweet. So he tweeted to Chill Bill: “U musty crusty dusty rusty ass hoe With them nappy ass poetic justice braids” and then it got even worse but I won’t publish the whole thing. He finished off the tweet with “be humble” because… sure, why not?

So, that happened. And now French Montana is one of the top trends on Twitter because everyone is like “you have zero business taking sh-t about a black woman’s braids” and “you’re a culturally appropriating a–hole.”

I just made French Montana poppin again.

— chill bill (@artdecoxxx) April 6, 2017

French Montana is black the same way DjKhaled is black: they aren’t.

— Veve McGee (@TerroristGhoul) April 6, 2017

French Montana thinks calling someone’s hair nappy is a drag…he literally only said that because she was black

— Durban Made ?? (@_Akhonaaababe) April 6, 2017

French Montana is like Drake they are only black when it’s convenient. Like when it’s a Kardashian in the room.

— TruthBeTold (@Big6domino) April 6, 2017

@FrencHMonTanA A non black man who loves black culture, makes money off the culture and hates black people. And he dates white women who wanna be black

During a Thursday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Colossal costars Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis opened up about their family lives.

“We tried to keep it pretty low-key. We kept the theme just rainbows, which is a fun theme because it’s hard to go wrong with it,” the actress, 34, said of her son Jonathan‘s first birthday party.

The Academy Award-winning actress and husband Adam Shulman welcomed their son on March 24, 2016.

“But I made the mistake,” added the actress. “I went on Pinterest and looked at other people’s 1-year-old parties. It’s not fair what some people do. You know, some party planners have children, which is definitely not fair. Think about it. They blow it out!”

Sudeikis, 41, added: “It’s like, ‘Look what I can do for your kid!’”

Hathaway filmed Colossal, an action comedy, with Sudeikis while she was pregnant.

“I was really lucky. I said yes to the movie before I was pregnant so I memorized my lines early,” she noted of the “baby brain” while filming. “But there were some days it was hard.”

Sudeikis – who raises son Otis, 2, and daughter Daisy, 5 months, with fiancée Olivia Wilde – said he didn’t give Hathaway any parenting advice on set.

“It’s super easy for women just to push a baby out of their body,” he joked. “It seems like it! As long as the guys keep those ice chips coming! That’s what it makes it feel OK.”

Just in case you were wondering what gift to buy for the white supremacist in your life, you should totally buy them Nivea. Anything from Nivea, a German skincare company which has a bold new ad campaign: “WHITE IS PURITY.” The above image is Nivea’s latest ad campaign for the Middle East markets. When the ad came out, many people were like, “Um… WTF?” While Nivea has pulled the ad, they waited until it became a huge mess.

Nivea has pulled a deodorant ad that declared “White Is Purity” after people called the slogan racist and after some hijacked the ad’s online campaign with comments about white supremacy. The ad, which appeared in a Facebook post last week, originally targeted the German skin care company’s followers in the Middle East. It was intended to promote Nivea’s “Invisible for Black and White” deodorant and depicted the back of a woman’s head with long, wavy, dark hair that tumbled over an all-white outfit. Underneath the woman’s locks was the slogan in all caps: “WHITE IS PURITY.”

The caption on Nivea’s Facebook post read: “Keep it clean, keep bright. Don’t let anything ruin it, #Invisible.” The post was quickly condemned by people who saw it as promoting racist rhetoric.

“What the HELL is this? White Purity?” one Twitter user said. “Shame, Shame, Shame on you. Fire your marketing person and anyone who approved this ad.” Another Twitter user posted images of racist comments that had been left on the Facebook post, some referencing the Holocaust.

Still others appeared to praise the ad — citing the same reasons. The Daily Mail captured an image of a post by a white supremacist group on Nivea’s Facebook page that read, “We enthusiastically support this new direction your company is taking. I’m glad we can all agree that #WhiteIsPurity.”

“Nivea has chosen our side and the most liked comments are glorious,” another Twitter user said, with an image of the top comments on Nivea’s Facebook post. One showed Pepe the Frog, a meme that in recent years was co-opted by white supremacists and has been declared a hate symbol.

In a statement to BBC News, the company apologized for the post and said it had been removed after “concerns risen about ethnic discrimination.”

“We are deeply sorry to anyone who may take offense to this specific post,” the statement read. “After realizing that the post is misleading, it was immediately withdrawn. Diversity and equal opportunity are crucial values of NIVEA: The brand represents diversity, tolerance, and equal opportunity. We value difference. Direct or indirect discrimination must be ruled out in all decisions by, and in all areas of our activities.”

An earlier “invisible” ad declaring that “Black Stays Black. White Stays White” was still on the Nivea Middle East Facebook page as of Wednesday morning.

[From LAT]

“Black Stays Black. White Stays White.” I’m sorry that I’m laughing but… seriously, did no one think this through??? Did Nivea hire the same ad agency as Pepsi? The ad agency that brought us “Kendall Jenner tossing her wig to a black woman so she could join in the protest and solve Black Lives Matter with Pepsi.” Oh well, at least we know where Nivea stands. Nivea: We’re Not Even Doing Dog-Whistle Racism At This Point. Nivea: White Is Right. Nivea: Endorsed By Pepe the Frog.

Congratulations are in order for Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen.

The American Pie star, 38, and the Life Happens actress, 37, are expecting their second child, they announced via Instagram.

“This is how I told my son babies are made #numbertwo,” the actress-author captioned an image of a couple using a NoseFrida snot sucker.

The newborn will join 3-year-old big brother Sid.

In February, the Orange Is the New Black star shared birthday greetings for their preschooler.

The couple – who were wed in April 2008 – welcomed their first child on Feb. 15, 2014.

Congratulations to the Mollen-Biggs family!

Kelly Osbourne has a memoir coming out and somehow she scored the cover of US Magazine to promote it, which is surprising to me. I guess it shouldn’t be considering that US is also the magazine working overtime to normalize the Trump family. Oh and US just got bought by the company which owns Enquirer and Star, so I guess that explains it. Anyway US has an excerpt from Kelly’s memoir and she details her battle with lyme disease, which is something she hasn’t previously disclosed. I do remember hearing that she was having health problems. Her brother, Jack, has multiple sclerosis and went public with his diagnosis in 2012. Here’s some of the excerpt US posted and they have more on their site:

My prescriptions kept piling up. I couldn’t sleep, so they gave me Ambien. When Ambien made me nauseated, they switched me to Trazodone, but that gave me acid reflux, so then I had to take an antacid every day. I took cranberry extract and antibiotics because one medication made me prone to getting urinary tract infections. Painkillers — for an ex–painkiller addict — to help with the head and body aches. Not kidding — I had pills to deal with the anxiety that I was having from taking so many pills.

When I got yet another prescription that left me barely able to speak, I was reduced to a lump on the couch, and that was my breaking point. I took my bag of pills, and my fiancé [Matthew Mosshart; the two split in 2014] drove me to my mum’s house. I sat them all out, one by one, until they lined up the length of the counter. “I can’t live like this anymore,” I said. “I’m a vegetable.”

As a last resort, she called Philip Battiade at Infusio, an alternative medicine practitioner. I’d first met him when he treated my brother for MS. When I met with Philip, I assured him that I hadn’t used unprescribed drugs in years and that I thought I had Lyme disease. I had started entering my symptoms into online quizzes, and the results kept coming back Lyme disease. For the first time, someone listened to me, and I got tested. The results were positive: I had stage III neurological Lyme disease. I was relieved to finally know what was going on, but I was also scared s–tless.

I got on a plane and flew to Philip’s treatment center in Germany. I started stem cell therapy. Rather than trying to kill off the disease with antibiotics, this treatment worked to strengthen my immune system so my body could fight off and get rid of the disease on its own, which is a much more complete and lasting cure. I stayed for two weeks. I was experiencing emotions and feelings again. I’d been in a diseased and doctor-approved drug-induced haze for so long that I didn’t know what it was like to be happy or sad or in pain.

I’ve kept quiet about my Lyme disease, not only for fear of pharmaceutical companies coming after me because of the cure I found in Germany but also because it seems like the trendy disease to have right now, and I’m tired of seeing sad celebrities play the victim on the cover of weekly mags. Since I know firsthand how awfully debilitating it is, I know who really has it and who is just trying to prolong their 15 minutes. I don’t understand how anyone could think that the life you have to live with Lyme disease is glamorous.

I was a f–ked-up ugly duckling who somehow emerged a lavender swan. I went from being the girl mums told their kids to stay away from to the girl mums follow on social media and stop in the street to ask for advice about their own daughters’ struggles. So after fielding the same question what seemed about 50 million times, I decided to write this book because: THERE IS NO F–KING SECRET!

[From Kelly Osbourne’s memoir via US]

I got really sick suddenly about 15 years ago and felt dizzy all the time, was tired and could barely walk when I was otherwise sporty and in peak physical health. I was never definitively diagnosed with lyme disease but I have a similar story to Kelly – I was put on so many prescription drugs which just made it worse. I did not get better until I went off all medication. So I think many of her symptoms were due to to the medication, which is what she says here. Also, I question what kind of tests this alternative doctor gave her to diagnose lyme disease, but that’s just because it’s Kelly and I question just about everything she says. She’s an a-hole for calling out other celebrities for going public with their lyme disease. Of course Kelly is a special snowflake with lyme and other celebrities are saying they have it to be trendy. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy, lyme disease is awful and it takes a lot to admit you have it. She’s also lucky to have been able to seek out and afford stem cell treatment. Eyeroll at her calling herself a “lavender swan.” I’m glad she’s better but it’s Kelly Osbourne, she’s still an asshole.

Around February and March, I sort of expected to hear something about Taylor Swift and what she was up to. You know why? Because that was when Tom Hiddleston was promoting Kong: Skull Island, and he was dumping out his purse about last year’s Tiddlebanging. I thought for sure that Taylor would get Us Weekly or People Magazine to do a story in which “sources” talked about Tay-Tay’s many emotions in the wake of Tom’s tell-all GQ interview. But nothing happened. It was weird. Taylor has been largely M.I.A. for months now. We hear things every now and then, like Ed Sheeran saying that she’ll have a new album out later this year, that kind of thing. Well, now Entertainment Tonight has some more info:

Where in the world is Taylor Swift? The 1989 singer has left a blank space in the public eye in recent months, rarely sharing posts to Instagram and largely avoiding public events. Her mysteriously low profile has led many fans to wonder what she’s been up to since her last public performance on Feb. 4, during a pre-Super Bowl concert in Houston, Texas Well, fans need not wonder any longer — and should start getting excited! A source tells ET that Swift “has been busy working on her upcoming album.”

According to the source, the “Shake It Off” singer has been figuring out what the sound and feel of her new album is going to be, and whether or not she wants to continue in the pop genre that propelled her last album to record-shattering success, or return to her beloved country roots. However, the source did note that Swift’s next big album is expected to drop by the end of the year.

Swift has stayed off the radar in a big way while working on creating her new music. While typically ubiquitous on social media, the 27-year-old songstress has only posted to Instagram once in the last two months, and that was to promote the release of her friend and fellow pop diva Lorde’s latest single, “Green Light.”

While keeping out of the spotlight, ET’s source says Swift has been staying closer to home, spending time in Nashville, Tennessee, where the singer was recently spotted driving around just last week.

“She comes here to get away from the paparazzi,” an eyewitness suggested to ET.

[From Entertainment Tonight]

I think it’s more than possible that Taylor – being one of the most self-aware women in the world – instinctively knows that she needed to try to be more mysterious and not so in-our-faces. I think it’s possible that she’s saving The Taylor Swift Show for the new album, so perhaps by November, we’ll be talking about All Taylor, All the Time.

Of course I have another little theory… I think Taylor is working on the album, for sure. But I also think she’s hiding out in Nashville while her latest ALLEGED plastic surgery heals. There were some weird photos of her in January where it looked like she had gone up a few sizes with her breast implants. And some fans think she got some booty implants too. Imagine Taylor strutting out in October with a body like Nicki Minaj!!!

I’m sometimes wary of covering certain stories about Jared Kushner because I believe that some/many of those stories come directly from Jared Kushner. It’s widely believed that Kushner has a lot in common with his father-in-law, Emperor Bigly, in that they are two men obsessed with themselves and obsessed with reading and watching coverage about their actions. It’s widely believed that Kushner is the “unnamed source” for many stories in which he comes across as the only sane, competent person in any given room of the White House. So what do you make of this? Politico reports that Steve Bannon was/is close to quitting his job after repeated clashes and power struggles with Jared.

The man credited with honing Donald Trump’s populist message and guiding him into the White House has grown frustrated amid continued infighting in the West Wing, so much so that in recent weeks a top donor had to convince him to stay in his position.

Five people, including a senior administration official and several sources close to the president, tell POLITICO that Steve Bannon, one of Trump’s closest advisers, has clashed with the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, who’s taken on an increasingly prominent portfolio in the West Wing. Bannon has complained that Kushner and his allies are trying to undermine his populist approach, the sources said.

Bannon has… butted heads with Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, who considers him an ideologue whose advice to Trump is making it harder for the president to win popular support for his agenda, according to people familiar with the dynamic.

The tension between the two is indicative of a larger power struggle in the White House as Kushner’s prominence and responsibility have ballooned. He has helped to expand the authority of two senior West Wing officials who, like him, are less ideological in nature: former Goldman Sachs executives Gary Cohn, who is now chairman of the National Economic Council, and Dina Powell, the deputy national security adviser for strategy. The national security directive removing Bannon from the NSC explicitly authorized Powell to attend the National Security Council’s Principals’ and Deputies’ Committee meetings.

[From Politico]

Politico goes on to say that it was a huge deal to Bannon that Kushner somehow manipulated the situation where Bannon was kicked off the National Security Council yesterday. Personally, I think Kushner is getting credit for something which was decided by other people. I think Kushner and Bannon clash all the time, of course, but Bannon’s removal from the NSC is probably more about the power struggles within the intelligence, security and defense communities. Still, Bannon has to take the fall and Kushner is being praised for attempting to drag his father-in-law to the center.

Incidentally, did you know that Kushner has just hired a new publicist? Apparently, Kushner hired Hollywood publicist Josh Raffel. Raffel will join the White House Office of American Innovation, the group that Kushner has been placed in charge of, the same office which is going to reorganize the government or something. Raffel is best known for his work as a studio publicist promoting horror films such as Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Get Out. Sounds about right.

Ew, look at Bigly’s baby hands! Gross. Anyway… Emperor Bigly had such a big day yesterday, I’m surprised his staff didn’t let him play with trucks just to keep him occupied. First off, the Bigly Administration no longer has Steve Bannon as part of the National Security Council. This is a good news/bad news situation – Bannon had no reason to be on the NSC, so it’s good news that he’s out. The bad news is that Steve Bannon still works in the White House and he’s absolutely running things (into the ground).

Because Bigly is a child with all of the nuance of a monster truck rally, Bigly decided to deflect the news about Bannon in two interconnected and very obvious ways. It’s almost like he has a neon sign blaring “DEFLECTION AHEAD” when he speaks. First off, Bigly said that poor Susan Rice is the centerpiece of all of the bigly conspiracies against him. He was asked about Dr. Rice by the NYT, and he said: “I think it’s going to be the biggest story. It’s such an important story for our country and the world. It is one of the big stories of our time.” The NYT asked him if thinks Rice committed a crime and he replied, “Do I think? Yes, I think.” What crime, exactly? The crime of being a woman? The crime of being a black woman with a highly sensitive security clearance? The crime of being a woman doing her job? Dr. Rice’s spokesperson issued a one-sentence statement about Bigly’s comments: “I’m not going to dignify the President’s ludicrous charge with a comment.”

Bigly still wasn’t done. Now that all of the old white dudes of the GOP have their big, scary black lady to blame, they can go about their business. And their business is protecting their own kind from all of those dumb broads who complain about being harassed and assaulted. Case in point: Bill O’Reilly. The NYT published a story about O’Reilly’s history of harassing women over the weekend. Many of the women have been paid off by O’Reilly or Fox News once they complain. Currently, advertisers are fleeing O’Reilly’s time slot and there’s increasing pressure on Fox News to dump O’Reilly. So what does Bigly have to say about that?

“I think he shouldn’t have settled; personally I think he shouldn’t have settled. Because you should have taken it all the way. I don’t think Bill did anything wrong. I think he’s a person I know well — he is a good person.”

[From NBC News]

Just a reminder: more than 20 women have come forward with their own stories of being harassed and sexually assaulted by Donald Trump. Another reminder: Emperor Bigly declared April to be National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month several days ago. So he thought he would celebrate this special month by A) scapegoating a black woman, blaming her for all of his troubles and insinuating that she had committed a crime (the crime of being a black woman) and B) defended an alleged sexual harasser/predator.
